Chapter 529: Uriel
After the beam that purged the Azure King of its existence, the crystals managed to create a giant magic circle in the sky. The magic circle provided a portal to which a giant index finger was reaching out.
Right at the moment that the crystals were shattered, the portal closed, making Uriel scream in pain. "How dare you?"
The single finger was four times compared to the full form of the Azure King. It was the length of an entire castle, ginormous in size, as it fell from the skies. It was white and was glowing, much like a fluorescent lamp shining brightly.
Uriel reached out to his staff as he screamed in pain. "These filthy humans try to hurt an Angel, an Archangel at that. You will pay. Every single one of you."
There was a thick white mist that covered Uriel before it coiled towards the staff where it reached the bird-shaped head. The bird came alive, shaking its head and fluttering its wings before it flew from the staff.
The Holy Crow regained his body and fell to the ground in unconsciousness, as the bird continued to fly until it reached the fallen finger. The bird was wrapped with the thick white mist and the mist plunged itself to the finger.
"That's Uriel's consciousness," Irus said. "We failed to make him summon his entire body, so he's using his arm to manifest himself."
"Irus, that's just a finger, right?" Elliot gasped. "How big is his entire body?"
"Angels are called the Holy Giants because of their enormous size," Leviathan sighed. "All four Archangels which compose the members of the Court of Heaven could reach the entire length of this world if they reach out their hands together."
"A single Archangel is the size of an entire continent," Mammon said. "That should give you a little bit of comparison."
Elliot gulped. The finger was just too big to comprehend. He couldn't imagine how big the entire thing is if it reaches its full form. The finger alone was too big, about four times bigger than the already gigantic Azure King.
Uriel's voice screamed from the finger. Everyone raised their guards as the already glowing finger glowed even brighter, the white skin was replaced with nothing but white light.
The finger hovered in the air before bursting into a blinding flash of light. When the light vanished, Uriel unveiled his form.
It was like a stone statue, much like the Azure King. His face was soft, white as paper, and glowing like a crystal. From every angle, Uriel looked perfect.
He wore a white robe that had white gold details on them. Underneath the robe was a series of clothing that was similar to the ones the East wore. On his head was a wreath that was made of white gold and his right hand held a similar staff to the one that the Holy Crow was holding although this one was white gold too.
Uriel had medium-length wavy hair that reached his lower neck. He had straight bangs that covered his forehead and it was bound to his forehead by the wreath. If it wasn't for his violent screams and his deep menacing voice, Uriel would be mistaken for a beautiful deity.
Everyone, apart from the Behemoths, was in awe after the Angel opened his eyes. It was a striking pale blue color, like the calm seas on a warm sunny summer.
"Is he really evil?" Elliot couldn't help but ask. He was doubting himself after seeing Uriel's beauty. He was literally carved by the skies with perfect features from his hair down to his toes.
"You shall perish," Uriel spoke. He raised his staff and wrapped the head with a spinning white energy, much like a series of thin vortexes. "The light shall purge you off your sins."
When he was about to release his attack, his eyes suddenly widened. Uriel clutched his chest, seemingly in pain. "What is this?"
"You're a fool if you think you can fight us in your current condition," Irus said. He raised his hand and created a ball of energy on his fingertips. "Let me teach you a few lesson so you would think twice about attacking us again."
"Nonsense," Uriel yelled. He spun his staff and launched a spear-shaped white vortex toward Irus. The latter used his ball of black light to counter the attack, his power victorious over the other. "How is that possible?"
"Because I am amazing," Irus continued to rush toward Uriel. The latter took a step back before he spun his staff again.
"This is not the end."
Irus was a couple of inches away from the Angel when he vanished from thin air. All that was left of him were the series of white glowing feathers that slowly fell to the ground. When it reached the stone floor of the Azure courtyard, the feathers vanished.
"That was close," Irus took a heavy sigh of relief after Uriel disappeared.
"What happened?" Elliot asked. "Was he no match for you?"
"You could get a hundred of me and I will never win against that creature," Irus fell to the ground with a huff. He took a deep sigh as the other Behemoths approached him and helped him get up. "Angels are powerful. The weakest soldier is comparable to the power of a Sin or Prince. Those Archangels rival the power of the Forsaken."
Elliot couldn't say anything. He was speechless. It was mentioned that the Court of Heaven has four of those. Which meant that there are three more Forsaken-like beings.
"Don't scare them like that," Leviathan said. "There's a condition to their power. The moment they leave Heaven, their powers would rapidly decrease."
"By how much?" Elliot asked.
"Astronomically," Leviathan said. "Only an eighth of their power would remain. This meant that an Archangel is as powerful as the Forsaken's Guard the moment they leave Heaven."
This made Elliot took a sigh of relief. This time, they shouldn't try and do anything to bridge themselves with Heaven. There is already one Angel on the loose and they don't know how long it will take him to contact the rest of them.
"Everyone," they heard a voice speak from the gate of the courtyard. When they turned to see where it was, they gasped after seeing Arthur standing there. "I am here. Where is my sword?"
"Yeah. Where is the Excalibur?" Elliot suddenly asked. "The Azure King dropped it earlier. Where is it?"
They looked at each other, thinking the same thing. After Uriel appeared, they lost interest at the Azure King and the Excalibur.
Arthur was escorted by Leonardo and the Raven Justice who helped rescued the Holy Crow. Uriel had been hiding inside the Holy Crow after the first contact and had been secretly commanding the followers of the church. Uriel suddenly attacked them and started to summon himself to their realm.
The church was resourceful. They have their connections which made it much easier for Uriel to perform the ritual.
"Here," Saitan said as he pulled the giant sword with his blood magic. Aquarius helped him by using a water arm that carried the sword towards them.
"T-That is my Excalibur?" Arthur stuttered. "But it is too big for me to wield."
"You don't have to worry about that," Francoise smirked. "Let me help you."
