I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 528: The Azure King's Rage

The scream was four times more powerful than the ones it released before. Its scream was so high-pitched that Elliot thought that his eardrums would explode.

He shifted the sword in his hand and pierced the sword at the halved Azure Core. He continued piercing his blade until the core was shattered, making the Azure King drop Excalibur from its hands.

"Elliot," Aquarius called out. "It's gonna rage."

Elliot gulped and rushed to where Aquarius was. They were approaching the part where the bosses would go into a berserk state and destroy everything in their path, the rage mode.

It felt like there was an ominous feeling as the Excalibur rolled from the roof and down to the ground. The Azure King grew to its original size, making the roof under it collapse from the extreme weight.

Elliot and his friends managed to secure themselves out of the roof. They landed on the ground as they watched the Palace slowly tremble.

"What kind of rage will it display?" Frederick asked. "Whatever it is, we must be prepared."

Irus pulled Excalibur away and sent it to his realm, as per Leviathan's orders. The former was quick on his feet and immediately took the sword and then came back to the group.

"The light shall break," the Azure King said. This time, its voice seemed to be louder by tenfold. "The light shall break."

From a distance, a golden staff was raised by the Holy Crow. "Now!"

From twelve directions around the Azure Palace, twelve white crystals were sent to the skies. The crystals grew to an enormous size as they glowed and sent a beam to the heavens.

"What are they doing?" Leviathan gasped. "This ritual. This is a dangerous ritual. Why are they doing this?"

"What's wrong?" Elliot asked. "This must be the Son of Heaven church. I think they're trying to help us."

Irus shook his head and sighed. "You mean they are trying to kill us. This is ritual to summon an Angel, one of the strongest ones at that."

"Angels are bad news," Mammon said. "It's why the other realms sealed them away before."

"That's also what the Vassals told us," Aquarius said. "They said that the Angels caused destruction that the other realms agreed to seal them away."

"You talked with the Vassals?" Elliot asked. "When?"

"Just earlier," Aquarius said. "These three were sent to our kingdom from different kingdoms because they are connected to the Prophesized Boy. Then when we tried to summon an Angel, they got mad."

"And why would they get mad?" the voice of the Holy Crow asked. "Angels are the most beautiful creation of the Almighty. We need to be blessed by their grace."

Alexander Crow was hovering in the air with a bright white magic circle under him. He wore pure white clothing that was similar to what he always wears, but this time they were all white.

On his right hand was the golden staff that had a head of a bird at the tip. The bird's beak was opened, a small white orb hovering in between each side. The eyes were made of white gems that glowed brightly. The Holy Crow himself seemed to be glowing.

"Holy Crow, stop this now," Frederick yelled. "You heard what they said. The Angels are no good."

"Lies," the Holy Crow growled. "All lies. Everything they say is a lie. They are Demons after all. Why wouldn't they hate the magnificent Angels?"

Elliot knew that something was wrong with the Holy Crow. The way he speaks and his posture were different from the humble yet strong-willed man he knew.

"Something is possessing him," Elliot said.

"Uriel," Irus called out. "You don't have to hide it anymore. Just show yourself."

The Holy Crow grinned which was revealed to be a different person. "I am trying to show you myself. It seems like this man had an influence that is worth looking into. I was summoned earlier but it failed and only a fraction of my consciousness would be sent here. Now I am trying to show you my real form."

All Behemoths launched themselves to attack the Angel. They fired their most powerful attacks, all of which were merely blocked by the golden staff.

"All of your efforts will be in vain," Uriel said. "My body will soon rise and I shall extinguish this realm that once shamed us. All of you will perish along with it."

"Shut up," Irus growled, appearing next to him. The demon created a spatial rift and plunged it right into Uriel's thigh.

The Angel laughed and swiped the staff, blowing Irus away. "You mongrel. You really think that I care about this body?"

"Irus, that is still the Holy Crow's body," Elliot yelled. "Do not hurt him."

Irus scoffed and deactivated the rift. He looked at his brothers and they all stared at him, shocked by the power he just displayed.

"T-That magic…" Leviathan couldn't continue. "Irus, explain to us why you could use that magic?"

Irus was silent. He looked down and shook his head. "I can't explain myself."

"You're the one who cause the rift," Leviathan said. "You're the reason why we're here in the first place."

"Everyone hated the Forsaken," Irus tried to defend himself. "All I did was lock him up. I didn't expect everything to turn out that way."

"How were you able to do it?" Leviathan asked. "How did you manage to fool one of the most powerful beings to ever exist?"

For a moment, Irus glanced at Elliot. The boy's eyes widened, making him gulp, fully knowing what the glance meant.

Irus borrowed power from the Manual and used it to create the spatial distortion in the Abyss.

Elliot started to wonder why Irus was locked inside and maybe this was the reason why. The Manual also wanted something from him so they made a deal, for Irus to inhibit the book for as long as it takes another owner in exchange for the power.

But the glance also meant another thing as a silent magic was cast around them. Elliot nodded and turned to whisper. "Here's what we need to do."

"You don't know how much chaos and destruction it caused," Mammon whispered. "Families died because of what you did, Irus."

Irus was silent. He stood and sighed. "I will not atone for what I did. Everything in that god-forsaken place deserved what it got. Everything there is chaos."

The memories of his childhood came flooding back into Irus. The pain, anguish, and misery they felt when he was young. The loss, the abandonment, and the destruction of his family. He despised the Abyss for as much as his entire existence and this included the ones in the realm.

"Uriel," Irus whispered. He created chains that locked the other Behemoths down. The chains dragged them to the ground and bound all their limbs so they couldn't move. "Continue."

Uriel laughed and nodded. "Then, let us continue."

The man raised the staff but felt odd. He looked around them, seemingly nothing was wrong. But at the same time, something was definitely wrong.

Irus was smacked at the back of his head by Leviathan. "We still need to talk about what you did."

"What's happening?" Uriel started to panic when he saw the Behemoths standing behind Irus. "But you… you were fighting."

"Spatial Distortion deactivate," Leviathan cast and the blanket sheet that covered everything around them slowly fell, revealing the Adventurers who were destroying all the crystals.
