Chapter 525: Breasts
It was like all of their attacks would end up in vain. It was already half an hour into their battle, yet the Azure King could still regenerate.
"What is happening?" Elliot asked in disbelief. "How come it's this powerful. We already exhausted a lot of our mana and skills, but they are all in vain."
"Perhaps because of its core," Mammon sighed. "We couldn't find it earlier when we went inside."
"The core, right," Elliot nodded. "Where can we find it?"
"It's not in the chamber," Leviathan said. "We tried to look for it earlier, but the place it was supposed to be at was empty."
"The Azure King is not like the rest of the Kings," Elliot said. "When the accident that happened here two decades ago, everyone expected for it to be in its chambers, that's why they locked Pentos inside. But the Azure King wasn't. It was in the hallway and it massacred everyone."
"I heard about that tragedy," Irus sighed. "But if it's not at its chamber, then where can it be?"
There was something that was calling Elliot. An energy that he can't see nor hear. It was just a feeling, making him turn towards the Palace.
At first, he ignored the feeling. They were still in the midst of a battle. He cannot be distracted. But as seconds ticked by, the feeling got stronger and stronger until his eyes wandered to the bell tower right by the back area of the Palace.
"It's right there," Elliot whispered. "The core is hidden at that tower."
"What?" Lance narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean? And how can you tell?"
"I have never doubted my instincts," Elliot said. "Cover me. I will reach that bell tower."
"Blazing Hurricane," Frederick slashed his arm in the direction of the tower. He fired a vortex of burning air at the tower.
Sure enough, there was an inviable forcefield that protected it. When the vortex reached it, the forcefield showed itself, a dark blue hue but it was transparent just like the shield of the Azure King when it was still sitting.
"Ethereum," Frederick smirked. "Elliot, go to that tower and use your sword and a lot of your raw strength. Three inches from that barrier, your magic will disappear so it will be hard to cast your Hasty Aspire."
"I can do it," Elliot said. "I'll just cast Hasty Aspire from a long range and let my body absorb the force."
"Do what you can," Frederick said. "We'll give you as much cover as you–"
The Azure King was standing in front of Frederick. It appeared out of nowhere, slashing its sword at the man but Frederick managed to dodge the attack.
"It knows that we know about the bell tower!" Frederick yelled. "Elliot, hurry."
Elliot snuck out of the Azure King's range as they distracted it. Frederick instructed them to fire attacks at the bell tower and activate the shield. This would make the Azure King target them, leaving room for Elliot to attack.
The Palace was filled with debris that Elliot used to climb up. Although it was a big building, his mobility allowed him to move from one place to another with ease.
"Almost there," Elliot whispered to himself. The bell tower was the last tower at the back, furthest from the courtyard and the front area of the Palace. "Just a few more–"
"Desolate Hunger."
Elliot launched himself from the ground and leaped into the air as high as he could. The area where he was standing on was filled with a dark green mist that caused everything around it to rust.
"What the hell?" Elliot gasped. He landed on the roof several meters away from the mist. He was being targeted, but who could it be?
Elliot was looking around, trying to see if he could find who was attacking him.
"Where are you looking?" a female voice spoke. She walked out from thin air and smirked at Elliot. "Is it the first time you see a woman this beautiful?"
She was a tall woman with a plump chest and wide hips. She wore a dark purple sequin dress that hugged her figure tightly. There was a slit just an inch down from her crotch which made Elliot look away from, face red in embarrassment.
The woman was beautiful. Her hair was red that reached down to her lower back. Her skin looked a healthy shade of tan that wasn't too pale. Her face was stunning that it would seduce just about any man in her path.
"You see, we need everyone to die," the woman said. "If not, then Malice cannot fix the problem in the Abyss and the Forsaken cannot kill the Candidates."
"Kill the Candidates? But Malice is also one," Elliot said. "Will he kill her?"
The woman shrugged, "Maybe. Maybe not. Let's just say that the Forsaken wants no one else to become an Absolute. That's what he told me."
"You're a Guard, aren't you?" Elliot raised his sword. "You're a beautiful Guard."
"Why of course," the woman gently touched her chest, making it bounce which Elliot's eyes followed without missing a beat. "My name is Famine and I am the most beautiful in the Abyss."
"No one can match your beauty," Elliot said. "You're the most beautiful thing."
His grip on his sword became loose and it fell to the ground. Elliot was staring at Famine with love-crazed eyes.
"Come with me," Famine said, walking to the edge of the roof of the Palace. "Let's go on a trip."
"Let's go on a trip," Elliot repeated. Famine led him to the edge and made him walk past it.
"Yes, Elliot, go on," Famine ushered for him to walk more. Elliot didn't have any control over his body, so he stepped out of the roof, falling. "That was easy."
"Men," Gasha growled. She passed through the roof with Elliot in his arms. "This is why we cannot trust men."
She landed on the roof with Alice trailing behind her. "So this is your ability."
They looked at the area where the mist was fired at. It was filled with rust and moss and the metal looked like they were rotting more.
"You can't spell disappointment without the men," Alice sighed. "Elliot, you little pervert, wake up."
"This is why he got tranced," Gasha scrunched her face as she looked at Famine's chest. "How gullible can men be?"
"This is why I get the things I need," Famine smirked then looked at Gasha's overly muscular body and Alice's lack of the front feature. "And the both of you can not relate to what I had experienced. All the luxury, all the good things."
"As if we're interested in those things," Gasha growled and threw Elliot to the side. This woke the boy up from the deep trance he was on. "Don't you have a mission to do?"
"Oh, I cannot just let him get past me," Famine said. She raised her left hand and created the dark green mist. "Nobody tries to stop me from taking what I want. And I want for everyone here to die."
"Sounds privileged," Alice ran up to her and slammed the head of her staff right at Famine's stomach. "But you're pathetically weak."
