I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 518: The Azure King

They stood in front of the Azure King who has not moved ever since they arrived. It was sitting on its throne, holding the pommel of the giant sword with its two hands while looking at them.

It was like a giant metal statue of a tall and well-built man. Its face was shaped perfectly, resembling the exact person of who the human Azure King was. It looked exactly like the one in the history books that was painted by the people from the past.

Its clothes were separate metal pieces of metal from the rest of its body. With a dress shirt under a robe and a pair of pants, the Azure King looked exactly like a king. Its overall appearance had a bluish hue to it. The metal was like it was bathed in blue paint but it stayed on for thousands of years.

There was rust in some areas of the King, but most of the areas were still shiny even after being dormant for so long.

But even after its majestic presence, the King was yet to move.

Frederick sent a wisp to the side to see if the King would follow it, and it did. Its eyes moved for a fraction of a second which will be hard for most people to see.

"It's alive," Frederick said. "We still have to be careful though. We don't know what it's planning."

A few minutes passed by and they were yet to make any progress. Frederick took it upon himself to send a disc of flames right at the King.

As expected, the king had some kind of forcefield around it. The disc was blocked by a holographic sphere that was made of connecting lines. It was powerful and beautiful at the same time.

"I thought that the moment we step inside the throne room we'd all be dead," Elliot sighed. "But this seems to be calmer than I expected."

"That's because it has yet to move," Frederick said. "I really don't believe in jinxes, but please. Don't jinx it."

"Do we have to destroy that shield so we can fight it?" Luck asked. "Because I would gladly do it."

He formed an O with his mouth and prepared to whistle but Frederick stopped him. "Don't do it. You'll kill us all if you try and provoke it."

"What do we do, then?" Luck asked in annoyance. "We need the Excalibur."

"Speaking of Excalibur, is it that giant sword right there?" Connor asked. "This would open to so many questions which includes how Arthur or Katarina would wield such a thing."

"That's the least of our problems now," Frederick said. "If we can't kill that thing, then we wouldn't be able to know."

"What if I try and attack it?" Lance asked. "I would just use my Sun Form if anything happens."

"I forgot you're all so powerful now," Frederick sighed. "Yeah, try attacking it."

This made a grin to be plastered on Lance's face. He unsheathed both of his swords and raised it above him. "Black and White Annihilation!"

He fired two beams of black and white from each of his swords and then crossed his swords together to merge the beams. This created a giant spear-shaped beam that hit the shield of the Azure King.

His attack was powerful that it even shook the entire throne room, but it was useless against the shield. There wasn't even a dent in the shield nor was a scratch or a small fracture.

"What the hell?" Lance gasped as they watched the Azure King's eye narrow and then go back to normal as if it was provoking them.

"It knows our attacks are no use," Frederick said. "You go and guard it. Alert me if something happens."

The guild master stepped back and sat cross-legged. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before sending out multiple wisps that explored the throne room.

"I'm looking for something," Frederick said. "What could we do to disable its shield?"

He glanced at the Behemoths who were fighting the Kingsguard but then saw that they were having an easy time fighting. At least he didn't get to worry about them holding the guards off.

"What do we need, what do we need?" Frederick chanted continuously. The wasps acted like his eyes. There were six wasps that roamed the room, so he currently has a vision of the entire room.

When one of his wasps got close to the Azure King, the shield suddenly activated. This was odd because he was yet to hit the shield.

"Hold on a minute," Frederick said to himself and got closer. The shield got more visible until he hit the wisp on it and the wisp vanished.

He opened his real eyes and smirked as he stood and took Luck's sword. "You sly creature."

"Freddie, what are you doing?" Luck asked as he followed his friend who was walking towards the Azure King while dragging the sword.

Luck's sword wasn't as big as the ones like Hope or George, but it was still heavy for mages like Frederick. He couldn't wield the sword, so he could only drag it as he approached the Azure King.

"This thing," Frederick used both of his hands to hold the sword up. "Is made of Ethereum."

With one swift thrust, a sound of glass breaking echoed the room. The once invisible shield fully showed itself and blinked with its pale blue colors before it shattered like glass.

"What the hell…" they all chorused as they watched the shield vanish as it fell to the ground.

The Azure King's eyes moved slowly. It blinked a few times before it grinned widely. "Well done."

"What the hell?" Hope cursed after they saw a surge of more beasts from the palace. "This is endless. How can we reinforce them inside if we're too preoccupied here?"

"We just have to…" Sun took a deep breath and nodded. He raised his sword and let it shine with a bright white light. "Endless Light!"

The light glowed brighter and brighter. It was glowing so bright that it defeated the Palace beasts that tried to approach them.

"There," Sun grinned. "All done."

"Good work."

"Thanks," Sun smiled but it instantly faded when he realized that the voice was neither from Midnight nor Hope. He looked up and saw Death himself, hovering above the palace.

"Oh, no," Sun gasped. He raised his sword again, but the Guard has vanished. It reappeared behind him and sent a punch that sent Sun rolling on the ground.

"Sun!" Midnight yelled. He morphed into a battle form and raised his guard. Death appeared in front of him and was about to punch him when Hope suddenly tackled the Guard.

The dragon boy kicked and punched Death as they rolled to the ground. He was gritting his teeth while using all the force he can. "You're a mean person."

"Hope, stop!" Midnight yelled. "You're punching on nothing."

Waking up from his trance, Hope gasped when he realized that he was attacking the air. "What the hell?"

"You three seem powerful," Death said while he hovered above them. "What can I do so you would join my side?"

"Lick my ass," Midnight smirked. Death licked his lips and gave him a seductive look in which Midnight made regret his choice of words. "No! Not like that."

"Pulverized Starlight!"
