I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 517: Angels are Menace

From the thick fog that clouded the Azure Palace grounds, the soil shifted and they were now inside a thick forest.

The Terrans have reunited. They formed a circle as they waited for their enemies to attack.

"What is this place?" Aquarius asked as he looked around. "This doesn't seem like a forest in Terra."

"Because it's not," a voice spoke as a man revealed himself. A tall plump man wearing a dark purple vest over a black coat. This was Trick, one of the strongest of Malice's Vassals. "This is one of the forests that are found in Hell, the ancient Oakridge Forest."

"Why did you bring us here?" Aquarius asked. "We were fighting but we were suddenly transported here."

"For you, this place is forest but to the outside, it's one giant marble," Chevon replied. "This is one of Trick's skills. He alters the space around him and this area is his domain."

"Enough talk," Minos raised his giant mallet. "Let us fight!"

"No, stop–"

Before Aquarius could even finish his sentence, Minos charged forward. Brandishing his weapon and charging it with his electric current, the man leaped and slammed his hammer at Trick.

The latter did not do anything but look up and smile. A bright flash of light suddenly burst from him and everything was changed. The space has been altered once again.

Minos was above Ethan, his attack still continuing.

"Water Sphere," Aquarius stepped in between them and enclosed Minos in a giant ball of water. This suspended the man in the air and stopped his attack altogether.

"The next time you try and attack, I won't be as merciful," Trick said. He was now at a garden table with the other Vassals, seemingly drinking tea.

"What do you want from us then?" Aquarius asked. "Are you not here to fight?"

"We are," Trick replied. "But not at the moment. Because one of you thought it was a good idea to summon an Angel."

Everyone looked at Willis who raised his hands defensively. "I only did it to defend myself."

"Your defense for yourself would've caused endless devastation," Trick sighed. "You created a bridge between your realm and Heaven. This is not a good idea. It's in fact the worst idea."

"What do you have against Heaven?" Aquarius asked. "Are you perhaps scared because they can wipe you out?"

"If Heaven could destroy Hell, then why are we still here despite the thousands of years of fighting?" Trick asked, to which no one could answer.

"The ignorance of Terrans will rain chaos among us all," Chic sighed. "Did you know that long ago, all five realms agreed to seal the Heaven?"

There was only silence for a couple of seconds before the Terrans erupted in a fit of confusion. They were looking at each other, trying to ask the question that none of them knew the answer to.

"If you don't believe us, then you can find information in very old libraries in other realms," Trick said. "The reason for sealing them was quite simple."

"It is," Chevon agreed. "They are a menace. They are even more wicked than Demons."

"Impossible," Aquarius said. "Heaven has always been regarded as the most peaceful and elegant realm."

"Then you haven't heard of the Holy War that stretched for two hundred years then," Trick said. "This changes everything."

The man stood from his chair and threw a book in front of the Adventurers. "Escape From the Light. My favorite book that depicted what happened in the two hundred years that Heaven spread their tyranny."

"Why would we want to read a book from you?" Minos narrowed his eyes. "For all we know, you might try and trick us."

"This book was written by a Terran," Trick said. "You can find this person in your own history books. Then you will wonder why there weren't a lot of books regarding this war and you will know why."

There was a slight shaking of the giant marble and a loud sound of a closing wooden door. The Vassals looked at each other and sighed in relief.

"The bridge has been destroyed," Raian said. "It's safe outside now."

"Ah," Trick nodded. "Good. Then we should go now."

"It's a shame that we don't get to kill you," Chic pouted. "But you have to stay alive so we can kill you the next time, okay?"

Trick snapped his fingers and the bright white light flashed again. This time, they were now transported outside with the Vassals nowhere in sight.

"Aki, we should talk to Frederick about this," Minos said as he held the book that Trick gave. "This is really a true thing."

"What true thing?" Aquarius took the book and his eyes widened when he saw the cover. "Escape From the Light by Arthur Pendragon."

"King Arthur wrote this," Aquarius then looked up. The words of the Vassals resonated in his mind. He was now contemplating whether he could believe them or he should ignore their words. "We need Frederick."

Meanwhile, inside the Palace, Elliot and his friends have almost reached the throne room. They could feel the aura of the Azure King from there. It was getting thicker and thicker, more ominous with every step they take forward.

"We have eliminated the Knights," Frederick said. "There are only the Kingsguard and the King there."

"Frederick, be honest," Elliot whispered. "Can we really do this?"

"But of course," Frederick grinned. "This is a piece of cake."

The red-haired man opened the door to the throne room and they were instantly greeted with a beam of blue energy.

The beam moved rather slowly so it wasn't hard to dodge it. What was hard to dodge were the weapons that came after the beam.

"The Kingsguard knew that were here," Frederick said. "They have been alerted."

"Pathetic," Irus growled. He raised himself from the ground and sent a powerful shock at the Kingsguard. This made the giant beasts freeze as their heads were filled with horror. "Now!"

The three other Demons raced toward the Kingsguard and launched their attacks.

"Blood Omen!" Saitan yelled, creating a red vortex that hit one of the Kingsguard.

Mammon chose one of the stolen skills. He then smirked after seeing the one he needed. "Imperial Thrust!"

A giant lance manifested itself behind Mammon. With a gesture of his hand, the lance thrust forward, hitting another Kingsguard. He engraved elements into the lance that the elements would fire out their own attacks at the target.

"Whirling Moon," Leviathan's attack was rather simple. He slashed his sword forward and fired a crescent-shaped attack at another Kingsguard.

Their attacks were rather simple and didn't hold strong forces. They did this to take the attention of the Kingsguards while the others attack the King.

"There was this one thing that we learned from when we attacked the other Palaces," Elliot recalled what Irus told them. "When you kill a Kingsguard in front of the King, the King's power would double. If you kill all of them in front of the King, then the King's power will be so great that no one could take it on."

Elliot nodded and sighed. They were now in front of the Azure King who was seated on its throne.

"This is the end for you."
