I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 509: Vassal of Puppets

Elliot knew where Irus got the power to create another realm. There wasn't any other answer to the question.

He only needed to hide the fact that Irus borrowed power from The Manual to create the realm he was supposed to retire to along with Madam Locraine.

"Did he borrow power from the Forsaken?" Frederick asked hesitantly, but Madam Locraine shook her head to say no to this.

"He hated the Forsaken more than anyone I know," the woman said. "And there is no trace of the Forsaken ever since he got trapped in the Abyss. Not even Death can reach out to him."

"Then it's safe to say that Irus is still with us?" Frederick asked, this time Madam Locraine answered him with a firm nod. "Alright. Then we have to wait for him and ask him himself."

Meanwhile, as the Terrans safely arrived in their realm, Irus, Mammon, and Saitan were busy fighting against the synthetic Forsaken that Legion created.

The technique that he used was more like a creation magic by using the souls of three hundred Paragons. The technique was similar to when the Vassals create an Armageddon.

But the power of the Armageddon and the Forsaken were oceans apart. It was just too huge to bear.

"Bladed Rain," Mammon cast over a rain of gigantic swords. The Forsaken was still at the start of its awakening, so it was still inactive.

This being said, they needed to stop the full activation of the Forsaken. When it wakes up, then there would be no hope for them.

Mammon's swords fell from the skies like rain, but it only sunk into the large black sphere of water. Saitan also performed his skills, but he too was powerless.

"Why did you even let Leviathan consume that stupid Armageddon instead of this?" Mammon scoffed at Irus. "We could've handled that one on our own. This one, we need help from the Forsaken himself."

"Even with Leviathan's confidence, I don't think he'll be able to handle this one," Irus said. "After he consumed that Armageddon, he immediately fell into slumber. That meant that his body couldn't handle it. If we let him eat this one, I don't think his body can take it."

"That makes sense, but how can we defeat this thing?" Saitan asked. "It's just too strong for us."

"I have a plan," Irus said. "But I don't think either of you will like it."

The Deathly Princes looked at each other with concerned faces, but they didn't have any other choice.

Irus smirked after seeing the approval from the two. "It goes like this…"

"Evoked Taunt," Mammon cast the skill as he stood in the middle of a giant red magic circle.

Legion watched the man as he danced above the magic circle as if he was performing some kind of dance.

This went on for a couple more seconds until Legion found himself standing right in front of Mammon.

"You were allured by my dance, right?" Mammon asked, to which Legion answered with a slight nod.

"Then check this out," Mammon smirked and suddenly vanished.

Legion awoke from the trance, but it was too late. Smaller magic circles had surrounded the big one and each and every one of them was blazing.

There was a beam of red light that the smaller magic circles spewed out. Legion gasped after he realized that he was trapped inside.

"What?" Legion gasped. "What is this?"

"Blazing Prison," Saitan said. He formed a triangle with his hands as a tiny red pyramid floated at the center of his hands. "Confine this victim into your ever-burning rage."

The beams got thinner and the magic circles got closer. Legion tried to fly but the big magic circle was preventing him to do so. He was trapped entirely.

"No," Legion whispered. "This can't be happening. How can this happen?"

"The moment you went against us was the moment that your life ended," Irus said. "I have always wondered why there was something odd about you, and I finally found it."

Irus got closer to Legion and gazed into the Vassal's eyes. There, he saw a young soul trapped inside a cage that the body created.

"What is your name?" Irus asked.

Legion was silent for a moment. He couldn't look away from Irus, but he wasn't talking.

It took a couple of moments before he finally opened his mouth to answer. "I am Paphet, the Vassal of Puppets. This body is named Arthur."

"So I was right all along," Irus sighed. "No wonder this body felt human, yet ancient."

"You knew?" Legion asked. "But since when?"

Irus exuded a terrifying burst of aura around him. He spread his aura around Legion, making sure that the enemy would suffocate in fear.

"T-This aura…" Legion trailed off. His body started to shake and now his eyes started to tear up. "You're powerful."

"I am," Irus said. "I'm also quite thoughtful, so as a token of my appreciation, I am here to give you a gift."

"I don't want your gift," Legion shook his head vigorously. "Please let me go."

"You imprisoned the soul of this body and used it to spread chaos and destruction."

"No," Legion whispered. "Please. If you take me from this body, Malice will kill me."

Irus leaned closer and grinned. "I really don't care."

With a blink of an eye, Irus forced Paphet out of Arthur's body. The Vassal's consciousness was inside the boy while he trapped Arthur in his own body. Paphet's real body was in Hell, so if Malice found out that he failed to kill the Prophesized Boy, he will be the one to die.

Irus wrapped Arthur's body with his aura as he saw Paphet get blown away. It was a small faint wisp that flew far from them.

"Tell this to Malice," Irus said. "Tell her that we are not afraid of her whatsoever. We are here to fight for us."

Paphet could only close his eyes as he felt himself wake up in his original body. He was an old man, in his seventies, with white hair that reached down his lower back and a beard that fall to his upper chest.

He was always fascinated with the idea of reincarnation, so when he found a way to extend his life by borrowing others, he used it.

The Vassal was in a tower, the tallest tower, in Hell. Frightened by what his queen might do to him, Paphet packed his bags and prepared himself to leave.

"Why did I even let that happen?" Paphet asked himself.

"He won't kill you."

A voice spoke behind Paphet. His eyes widen as he felt his entire body freeze. Bruno was behind him in his room.

"Your fortified shields are really good," Bruno said. "For a puppet master, you do your job well."

"I don't want to die just yet," Paphet said. "I still have to find the key to the real reincarnation."

"Then tell that to Malice," Bruno chuckled. "If you make her understand, she will spare your life."

The thought brought hope for Paphet. "She would?"

Bruno nodded. "I promise you that. Malice will never lay her hands on you. So, let's go?"

Paphet was happy, so he nodded and followed Bruno.
