I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 505: Legion

Facing the third Vassal were Connor, Ed, Hope, Midnight, Sun, and Madam Locraine. There were five of them against a single enemy, but they seem to be at the losing side.

"I have always envied Terrans," the man sighed. "You guys are so free. Wherever you go, you would always have your freedom."

"This man…" Midnight trailed off. "He's the same level as two Deathly Princes combined."

"Ah," the man raised his index finger. "That maybe because there were a total of a village of Paragons that was placed inside me. That's about three hundred."

"Three hundred?!" the five Terrans chorused with a gasp of disbelief.

"Yes," the Vassal nodded as he closed his eyes. "That's why they changed my name. I was reborn and now, I am Legion. Let me tell you how it happened."

Legion, just like he said, had a total of three hundred Paragons placed inside of him. It was a compliment of his previous ability which was to collect power from his victims, so Malice decided to place as much Paragons inside him to the brink of his limits.

The memories, abilities, power, and even thoughts of Legion's victims were carried to his current body. He had over three hundred thoughts inside of his head that he has no control of whatsoever. He was dubbed as the Walking Army.

Albeit Legion has multiple thoughts, his own movements were not restricted whenever these thoughts clashed. He could still move his own body and control it however he wanted to.

But when an attack was fired at him, several Paragons would react and block the attack. Legion had different thoughts but they were connected by one single thought, and that was to protect the body that they inhabited.

"So that's the reason why he was able to defend our attacks," Midnight said. "Even when all five of us attacked at the same time, Legion was able to defend himself."

"That's because they are here to protect me," Legion said. "I don't control their abilities so there will be a couple of casualties."

His body started to emit a faint blue light. This caused the Terrans to raise their guards as Legion prepared himself to launch an attack.

"They are angry," Legion said. "Forty three will attack at the same time. Prepare yourselves."

"He even gave us a heads up," Ed chuckled as he conjured his giant armor made of aura. He called this the Chaos Knight and it was like a giant was standing behind him.

The Chaos Knight he conjured only had its upper body. It wrapped itself around them as forty three burst of magic came flying towards them."

"That's a lot," Ed scrunched his face. "I wonder if my Chaos Knight can take the blow."

"I got you covered," Madam Locraine smirked and threw a scroll in the air.

The scroll glowed brightly. The light from the scroll provided an extra armor to the Chaos Knight, raising its defense capabilities exponentially.

"Amazing," Hope whispered as they watched the attacks get nullified by the Chaos Knight before it could even reach it. "Ed, you incorporated your Ethereum to the Knight."

Ed scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Of course. You don't have to worry about such attacks because any magic will be nullified by me."

Legion sighed as he watched their attacks vanish. "They didn't like what you did. Now they are angry."

He raised his hand to the side and conjured twenty giant swords. These swords looked rustic and some had blood stains on them, but these swords have high magic aura that wrapped around them.

"They said if you don't like magic, then try these swords," Legion said and launched the swords.

"I got that," Midnight smirked. He shifted into a giant armored serpent with a humanoid body and a lion's head. This morph had ten pairs of arms that arrayed the human body down to the serpent's tail. "Chimeron Serpeléon!"

"Oh, I got you, Midnight!" Madam Locraine said. She slammed a small orb to the ground which produced a smoke explosion. Twenty weapons were thrown from the smoke and into Midnight's hands. "I have twenty because I felt like it."

Antique Magic was proven to be very useful in the situation they were in. Madam Locraine's expertise in the field gave them a higher advantage because she could use the magic in its full potential.

Midnight smirked as he blocked all of the attacks with the weapons. His new form was developed for him by Leviathan and he was more than happy to receive it.

"This is amazing, Madam Locraine!" Midnight cheered. "I wonder what else do you have under your sleeves."

"The past has all sorts of magic," Madam Locraine smirked. "So if Legion has three hundred powers in you, I have eons of magic in me."

"They do not like that old, saggy woman," Legion said. "They're now preparing a high burst output cannon that will wipe a country from the map. Prepare yourselves."

Legion raised both of his hands and created seven magic circles that line up like a cannon. In front of him was a mix of three magic circles that crossed each other, resembling an atom with a dark blue ball of energy at the center.

The ball sparked with a pale blue light and Legion placed it on the first of the seven magic circles. This caused the magic circle to spin and generate more power, sending a beam of energy into the second magic circle and it did the same thing.

"This is bad," Midnight said. "Those magic circles are amplifiers. The more magic circle it passes through, the more powerful the attack gets."

"What can we do to stop it?" Connor asked. "Do we have to instantly kill Legion?"

"No," Madam Locraine said. "Has it ever occurred to you why Legion narrates all of its moves and told us his story?"

The rest were dumbfounded by the woman's question. "Look into his eyes." They all looked and saw that it was wet. "He's crying inside. Legion does not want this."

Midnight then sighed. "So, he's forced to do all of these."

Madam Locraine nodded. "I'm afraid so."

"Then, new goal!" Midnight said. "Save Legion. If he's forced to do these, then he cannot be evil, therefore he is in need of our help."
