Chapter 504: Flaming Archer
"What?" Lance gasped. "Elliot, can you hear me?"
Elliot kept on screaming as his entire body glowed with a bright green light.
"Enhancement skills have their own limits. One would lightly make his body sore and he wouldn't even feel that until the tenth stack. Elliot stacked four hundred and seven of those," Galaxia said. He sent several shards of the galactic shards over Elisa's head. "Shattered Starlight."
"No, no, no!" Elisa tried to scream, but it was too late. Her body was already being ripped to pieces by the intense energy of the attack.
'Supreme Dragon Emperor Immunity Crest activated.'
Galaxia was walking towards Elliot when the green light ceased. He gasped when Elliot took a deep breath and suddenly, he was okay again.
"Are you alright?" Galaxia asked. "Your body should've been ripped into nothingness after you stacked all those Hasty Aspire."
"Oh, that little thing?" Elliot chuckled. "I just have a few tricks up my sleeve."
"Elliot!" Lance ran up to them. "You made me so worried. How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay now," Elliot said with a smile. "And we shouldn't waste time here. They need our help."
–
"Haha!" Avery laughed as she watched Frederick try to pierce through her shield. "Malice gave me this title because I have the most powerful shield in all of Hell. Not to mention my golem, I have the complete package."
"Then try this," Luck said. He flew right to the golem's level and raised his sword. The man whistled loudly as a dense cloud of magic filled the air and wrapped around his sword. "Wind Flow from the East."
His movements were swift as he glided across the golem. Luck sent four swift but powerful thrusts right on the golem's chest, with each thrust piercing through the rock giant's body.
"What?" Avery asked in shock after she saw her summon get taken down. "That golem had an equal power of a Vassal. How could you take it down so easily?"
"It had a power of a Vassal?" Luck chuckled. "Then Malice might've lowered her standards then."
"How dare you?" Avery growled. She pointed above her. "Rise, Golem of the World, Atlas!"
The ground shook vigorously. This made all the battles pause as a part of the earth bulged and a giant iron golem burst out of it.
Its presence was powerful, that was no doubt. Its aura alone tells a lot about the power it holds.
"Let's not take this one lightly," Frederick said to Luck. "This is why this woman does not have as much magic compared to her peers. This is where her magic lies."
"No sh*t," Luck cursed in disbelief. There was a brewing mix of nerves and excitement in him, but he can't control himself from smiling. "I think I can handle this."
"Don't be hasty," Frederick warned. "This golem is unlike anything we've faced before."
Atlas, the golem, was still in the process of its activation. Its movements were still stiff and there were parts of its body that groaned as it tried to move.
"Freddie, this is nothing," Luck said. He wrapped his sword with magic again and launched himself toward the golem. "Take this!"
Luck went past through Atlas and he was sure that he fired all four of his thrusts at the giant golem. "What?"
"Oh, you think you could penetrate it that easily?" Avery chuckled. "Atlas has the hardest metal in Hell for the first few inches of its skin. It is also fortified with magic, so not just anyone can scratch it. Not even you, puny insect."
"Flaming Barrage." Frederick fired his attack at Atlas, pouring his flames on the golem. A few seconds after his flames dissipated, he was not surprised when they did not even leave a small burnt area. "As expected."
"What do we do, Freddie?" Luck asked. "This golem is too tough."
"Don't just use brute force or pure power," Frederick said. "Now I know what to do with it."
"You do?" Luck gasped excitedly. "What do we have to do so we can beat it?"
"Show it power," Frederick said with a wide smile. He threw his coat off and unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt.
"You're really going to do that?" Luck asked, seemingly hesitant. "We could just find another way, you know."
"No," Frederick insisted. "This woman wants to play, then I'll give her what she wants."
"Oh, it seems like someone just got serious all of a sudden," Avery chuckled. "You even took off your coat. You just did that for show. Your magic did not even increase. Not one bit."
"Oh, who said I was already serious?" Frederick chuckled. "I'm just warming up. Literally."
In a blink of an eye, the atmosphere became filled with an intense pressure and heat. Everyone in Irus's realm felt this heat spread throughout their bodies.
"T-This is…" Avery couldn't help but stutter as Frederick walked forward. "It's too intense. At this rate, even the burning sea of Hell would evaporate."
"Flaming Archer." Frederick raised his hand and the flames that were radiating from his body formed a giant humanoid shape. It positioned its hands forward and a bow appeared in front of it.
The giant took the bow and pulled the string. As it did, a vortex of dark blue flames formed on it. The vortex was thin and its head was huge, just like an arrow, and the rate of its rotations was so fast that it disturbed the very air around it.
"Say your prayers," Frederick said. "For I shall wipe you off of your pitiful existence."
"What?" Avery's eyes widened after realizing that Frederick's target wasn't Atlas, but her. "No!"
"Where's the shield that you're so proud of?" Frederick smirked. "Show me its power and I'll kneel to you. Fire at Will."
Avery was panicking. She pulled Atlas towards her and used it as a shield. She was desperate to survive.
The Archer let go of the bow's string and the flaming vortex arrow was sent towards Avery. She was screaming as the arrow spun and effortlessly slid past Atlas, her greatest and most powerful golem.
"No!" Avery yelled. "Atlas should've been unbreakable."
She watched the arrow approach her. It was spinning at an incredible speed that she had no time to comprehend. The arrow had reached her shield and it was already cracking.
"This is impossible!" Avery yelled. "Who are you?"
She watched Frederick who had a smirk on his face. She shook her head and let the flames engulf her, the heat burning her entire existence.
"This is the royal flames of In…"
There was a giant orb of light in the sky that lit up brightly. It caught everyone's attention as the sense of Avery's aura vanishing followed. The second Vassal was defeated.
"Freddie," Luck sighed. "Revert back before anyone sees you."
Frederick took a deep breath and his breathing finally calmed down. The flames around his body had dissipated and the heat that disturbed everyone vanished.
"You almost lost control," Luck said. "Be careful next time."
Frederick put on his coat and hung it on his shoulder and nodded. "Alright, dad. I'll take care."
"You silly b*tch," Luck snorted as they both laughed at each other.
