I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 490: Dome of Gaia

"Frederick, what do we do?" Lance asked their former guildmaster who had long since lead them in battles.

The red haired man shook his heas, sighing as he massaged his forehead. "I… I don't know."

"I think I can break that shield," Mammon said. "But I can't do it alone. Irus, Leviathan, Saitan, let's go break this thing."

"Wait," Irus stopped. "This shield is also known as the Dome of Gaia is not just an ordinary shield. There are conditions that makes it difficult to destroy especially from one side. Daniel, tell us. When you shattered the shield earlier, was it hard?"

Daniel shook his head. "It was rather easy, as if I was breaking glass."

"Exactly," Irus said. "The Dome of Gaia was used by me and one side is practically invincible while the other is fragile. I used to to store food back when my siblings used to steal from me."

"And how do we break this?" Mammon asked. "Since you created this skill, you should be able to break it easily, right?"

"If I know the caster, it would be easy," Irus sighed. "But I don't. It might not be even from one of the Mages that we saw earlier. Heck, we don't even know when this shield was placed. Something of this scale must've required great amounts of magic. How they hid that kind of magic is amazing in its own."

"What if we try to break it?" Connor asked. He got out of the guildhouse, morphed and fired a beam of flames in a straight line. The flames roared as it reached the dome, barely doing anything to it even when he poured all his power into the attack.

"It's useless," Irus sighed. "This dome is hard and tough, even the strongest magic can't break it. The six Deathly Sins couldn't even pierce the shield even if they tried. That's just the way it is."

"So, we remain trapped?" Elliot asked to which Irus answered with a shrug. "Communications also doesn't work in the dome. What happens is that the sturdy surface of the dome would repel magic. That's why it withstand magic. This would include communication, that's why you can't contact anyone from outside."

Elliot sighed. "What do we do now?"

When Irus shrugged again, Elliot couldn't help but ask. "Irus, do you even have a plan?"

"I don't," Irus retreated back to the dormitories with his brothers following him. "But I know how to wait. You should too."

This made Elliot groan. "He acted like a child. Can we try again? But this time, we shoot all at once to try and break this shield."

"I think we can do that," Lance said. "Let's go."

There wasn't a Strike, but the Adventurers were gathered by the gate. The dome was gigantic in size that it even reached some of the forests nearby. Elliot thinks that a scale of something like this would have its down sides.

"So, what you're saying is that since this dome is so big, the durability would be affected?" Frederick asked.

"Exactly," Elliot pulled Connor's finger and made his friend create small orb of fire. "I think the dome is like this. Since Irus mentioned that he keeps his food on it, the scale of his dome must be small."

Connor enlarged the ball without adding more magic to it. They could see the paler color of the ball, and how thinner it got. "See this? Since this dome is humongous, the durability must have been sacrificed so they could create as such."

"That's actually not a bad theory," Frederick said. "Alright everyone. Pour one attack right here."

The man formed a target made of fire on one area of the dome. This was going to be the target for the Adventurers as they shoot their attacks. Through this way, their attacks would all go into one direction of the dome instead of being scattered everywhere.

"When I count from three, healers and support start casting your skills," Frederick said. "On the count to to, everyone prepare, and when my count reaches one, you fire everything you have."

"Three!"

Alice lead the supports into casting buffing skills to the rest of the Adventurers. They amplified their allies' magic so their power would greatly increase.

"Two!"

Everyone prepared their attacks. Weapons, hands, eyes, and even some entire body started to glow.

"One!"

A great shaking of the ground was caused by a collective attacks from the Adventurers. The citizens gasped as they watched in awe, seeing lights flood the skies and shoot into one side of the dome.

The dome roared after the attacks reached it. The clashing of the magic and the surface of the dome created the deafening roar that echoed throughout the dome.

There was a cloud made of dust that covered the area of the dome. No one could see anything, and they could only wait until the dust was cleared.

"Was it a success?" Connor asked, to which Elliot couldn't answer. The latte remained silent.

When the dust finally cleared, everyone fell silent. There wasn't even a dent on the surface of the dome. Their attacks did not do anything to it. The transparent white sheet of shield was clear of any dent and scratch.

"What will we do now?" Elliot asked himself. He didn't want to disappoint himself, but he was lost at the moment. Where will he go? What shall he do?

"Elliot…" Lance tried to talk to him, but Elliot sighed. "It's okay. I'm sure we can find another way."

"I don't know if there's another way, Lance," Elliot sighed. "We're trapped here. You even saw how strong the shield was. How are we supposed to get out when that thing is what we're up against?"

Crack. Crack.

They all turned their heads to a part of the shield that started crackint. It wasn't long before they saw the dake skies of the outside world.

The dome mimicked a clear blue sky, that was why they couldn't see the dark clouds up until now.

"I'm here!" Zeus's voice roared across the skies as he rode his sleigh powered by his pets, the blazing lighting reindeer. He was flying above the city before he landed right in front of the gate where the Adventurers were.

"Zeus," Frederick called out. "Thank you so much. But how did you know we were trapped inside?"

"A farmer wanted to go home fom another city, but he found this portal. He actually almost broke it, but he was scared of what it might do, so he asked for me instead. When I came here, I saw this shield and try to measure it.

"This dome is huge that it nearly covered another ciry. When I tapped on it, I felt the texture of it similar to a glass. That's why I broke it."

"Zeus," Irus and the other demons greeted. "Why are you here? You must be a very busy man."

"I'm here for a mission," Zeus said. "But I happen to pass by the farmer and thought I would say hello."

"Thank you, Zeus," Frederick and Luck bowed at the man, followed by Midnight, Sun snd the rest of the team.

"No, don't thank me yet," Zeus chuckled. "Because you're going to return the favor. I have a mission."
