Chapter 84: Great Swordsman? I Am No Longer! (4/5
Kizaru's expression stiffened as he glanced at the dark clouds gathering overhead.
"Huh? What is that?"
The sky, once clear and bright, was now draped in ominous clouds, crackling with flashes of lightning that looked like horned dragons spiraling through the heavens.
"Nine Heavens Divine Thunder, summoned by my sword... Behold the fear of the heavens."
With a swift leap, Finn soared into the stormy sky, his fairy sword pointing towards the clouds.
CRACK!
A thick blue bolt of lightning shot down, connecting with Finn's sword.
"Is he... striking himself with lightning?" Kizaru muttered in disbelief, not understanding Finn's strategy.
Then, Finn's sword flicked, and the lightning shot straight at Kizaru like a whip of electric fury.
ZAP!
The electricity hit Kizaru before he could fully react, making his body convulse uncontrollably. "Damn it! You shocked me!" He dodged aside, smoke curling from his mouth as his charred hair crackled.
"Laser!" Kizaru extended his finger, firing a golden beam straight at Finn's heart.
CLANG!
With a graceful flick of his wrist, Finn deflected the laser with his sword. The blade's edge split the beam in two, sending both halves into the sky.
"Nani?!"
Kizaru's eyes bulged, unable to believe what he just saw. The idea that anyone could split light—something even Armament Haki couldn't achieve—was beyond comprehension.
Before he could process it, another bolt of lightning, faster than he could track, struck him.
Though Kizaru had the ability of the Pika Pika no Mi, the speed of light itself, he was hit again. "Impossible! I dodged! How can lightning still find me?" His voice wavered, rattled by the sheer power of Finn's magic.
Finn grinned knowingly. "This is no ordinary lightning. This is the Nine Heavens Yulei Zhenjue. The thunder is bound by my sword—once you're marked, there's no escape."
Kizaru's face darkened as another, far larger bolt of purple lightning crashed down. The sky itself seemed to tear apart as the lightning morphed into a giant net, spiraling down and enveloping Kizaru in a violent explosion.
RUMBLE!
When the blast cleared, Kizaru was left half-kneeling in mid-air, his bloodshot eyes wide in disbelief. "The power... it's increased tenfold!"
Finn's voice echoed, cold and ethereal, "So much for the strength of a Marine Admiral."
Furious, Kizaru clenched his fists. "Don't underestimate me!" In a flash, he burst into a sea of golden light.
"Yasakani no Magatama!"
A torrent of laser beams rained down, turning the sky into a sea of gold.
Finn's eyes flickered with interest. "Admiral, huh? Let's see how you handle this."
He twirled his sword, and with a fluid motion, summoned a wall of blades that deflected the incoming beams, each one ricocheting into the ocean below with explosive force.
The female soldiers aboard the nearby ship gasped, mesmerized by the spectacle. "Look! It's Kizaru Admiral... but who's the other one?"
"He's... unreal!"
Robin, watching from afar, felt her heart stir at Finn's power, but she remained steadfast. No matter how enchanting this man was, her heart was still with her "stinky brother."
Kizaru, now growing increasingly frustrated, discarded his playful demeanor. "If you're going to rely on a sword, then so will I."
He conjured an energy sword, its blade humming with the power of light. "Have you ever felt the bite of a sword moving at the speed of light?"
With a blinding flash, Kizaru was behind Finn in an instant, aiming for his waist.
CLANG!
Finn's fairy sword blocked the strike effortlessly. He smiled, his voice steady. "Your attacks are locked by my sword intent. You cannot hit me."
Kizaru froze, his brow furrowed. "Sword intent?"
"Yes," Finn replied, his tone serene. "This is no mere swordsmanship... This is the path of the Immortal Swordsman."
Kizaru's eyes widened with a mix of shock and grudging respect. "To think... someone as young as you could have such mastery. You're no ordinary swordsman."
At this, Finn chuckled softly. "Don't insult me. I've transcended that title long ago."
The storm raged on as two titans clashed, one with the power of light, the other commanding the very wrath of the heavens.
