Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Sudden Encounter with Enemy Invasion
However, whether the T-virus plan can be executed depends on whether the arms deal in front of Carl goes smoothly.
Carl walked out of the port warehouse and, through satellite communication, notified the person in charge of the port to send someone to the warehouse to begin loading the arms onto the ship.
The entire Belgrade port was highly automated, equipped with large gantry cranes, rail-based robotic arms, and container cranes for loading and unloading.
With just a few hundred people, one could fully control a large port that handled millions of tons of cargo annually.
It's worth noting that most of the port employees were Umbrella's clones, with only a few high-ranking managers being natural-born humans.
After giving the loading orders, Carl took the elevator back to the underground secret passage and then traveled back to the Hive base via the high-speed maglev train.
The arms were being loaded onto the ship. Carl left Baron Strack to monitor the port while he went to find Wanda, planning for an in-depth emotional exchange.
After all, relationships don't maintain themselves, and if neglected over time, they fade quickly.
In Wanda's bedroom, Carl enjoyed a performance featuring JK skirts and twin tails, with an impressive display of flexibility.
After emerging from Wanda's room feeling refreshed, he was about to head to the gym for his daily workout when he suddenly heard the voice of Red Queen through his wireless Bluetooth headset.
[Alert: Enemy has infiltrated Umbrella's headquarters building!]
In the urgent situation, Carl immediately returned to Wanda's bedroom.
The smart devices in the room allowed him to remotely monitor the ground facilities and issue commands through the Red Queen.
Wanda, still asleep on the bed with her beautiful eyes closed, was mostly covered by a velvet blanket, her alluring figure partially hidden.
Her red hair was in disarray, cascading loosely over her shoulders.
It was clear that the previous battle had been intense.
When she heard the sound of the door opening again, Wanda slowly opened her eyes and, upon seeing Carl returning, her face paled. She trembled and said, "Oh my god, you don't want more, do you? Go find Ada and the others, don't come and bother me."
Carl looked at her speechlessly. This girl was really all chest and no brains, and her head was filled with lustful thoughts.
"Can't I have something serious? There's an enemy invasion at the ground headquarters, and I can manage the situation better from here."
After saying this, Carl couldn't be bothered to explain to Wanda, who looked confused. He simply laid down on the bed, ignoring her as he comfortably half-lay down in a relaxed position.
"Activate the ground surveillance, report the number of invading enemies."
Wanda, who initially thought Carl was just making an excuse to deceive her, was surprised to see that he seemed to be genuinely handling a serious matter.
Several holographic projection screens appeared before them, displaying real-time surveillance of the ground. Over a hundred armed enemy soldiers had already engaged Umbrella's guards in battle.
The sounds of gunfire and explosions echoed from hidden speakers around the room.
"Bang! Bang! Boom!"
Another holographic screen displayed a replay of the enemy's attack.
The footage revealed that these enemies were well-equipped and highly skilled, clearly elite soldiers with special infiltration training.
Seventeen minutes ago, the enemy had split into two directions, attacking from the west and east of Umbrella's ground base, using a simple feint strategy.
The enemy's main force successfully broke through the base's eastern defense line. Using several fast-response armored vehicles to clear the way, they advanced under heavy suppression from rocket launchers, heavy machine-mounted grenade launchers, and other heavy firepower, breaking through to the vicinity of the Umbrella headquarters.
Now, the enemy was engaged in fierce combat with Carl's most elite clone soldiers.
The fearless black-clad soldiers were causing considerable trouble for the enemies.
Firstly, the numbers. The entire ground base had twelve thousand elite soldiers.
Endless waves of soldiers surrounded the enemies from all directions.
Over a hundred enemy soldiers, after advancing quickly to the vicinity of the Umbrella headquarters, quickly fell into a siege by the Umbrella soldiers, and the battle soon reached a stalemate.
Seeing the holographic projection of the enemy, who, despite being surrounded, was still managing to stabilize the situation and not immediately collapse, Wanda was quite surprised.
"Where do these enemies come from? Their combat skills are not something any ordinary faction could cultivate. Could they be a special forces unit from a big country?"
Carl shook his head, his expression certain. "They should be agents from S.H.I.E.L.D."
Wanda's face still had a hint of flush as she propped herself up in bed and carefully studied the enemies on the screen.
"S.H.I.E.L.D.? You mean the world's largest spy organization, which is now controlled by Hydra?"
Carl glanced at Wanda, who was still unaware that she was revealing more than she should, and couldn't help but let his hand wander over her soft body.
"Mm," Wanda let out a soft, alluring hum but didn't resist Carl's hand. She shot him a glance and asked, "How did you get on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s bad side?"
Carl wasn't sure about S.H.I.E.L.D.'s exact reasoning.
"It's probably because of that deal last month. Maybe S.H.I.E.L.D. found some trace of it, or there could be some other special reason."
Thinking about the ongoing arms deal, Carl couldn't afford for this $200 billion arms transaction to fall through.
He needed to figure out what S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intentions were. If he acted rashly, it could provoke a fierce resistance from them.
With this in mind, Carl gave a new command.
"Change the strategy. Capture the invading enemies alive if possible."
Wanda, as the female leader of Umbrella, obviously didn't want to see her assets destroyed. She straightened her chest and volunteered, "Should I personally handle it? I'm confident I can capture them all alive."
Carl, like coaxing a child, reached out and patted Wanda's small head, speaking softly, "Enemies like these don't need the Scarlet Witch to intervene. You just sit back and enjoy the show."
Scarlet Witch was the nickname Carl had given her, and Wanda thought it sounded pretty cool, so she accepted it.
Wanda's head was pushed down in a way that left her feeling somewhat dissatisfied, but she obediently lowered her head, ready to serve her master.
Seeing that she had misunderstood his intentions, Carl didn't stop her 'thoughtful' service, as he was, after all, the one enjoying the situation.
As he relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful woman, he also kept his eyes on the holographic projection, where the enemy, who had resisted for half an hour, was gradually starting to lose ground.
Carl's guess was correct. The enemies who infiltrated the Umbrella base were indeed agents sent by S.H.I.E.L.D., specifically the Black Widow agent team led by Sharon Carter.
After receiving the mission from Director Nick Fury to investigate Umbrella, Sharon Carter had arrived in Sokovia the next day aboard a Quinjet.
