I Am The Only Witch Hunter

Chapter 243: Curse of Implosion

"If that is how you want to play it. Very well!"

With the knife in his hand, Blair sliced open his belly. Blood flooded out and formed a ring around the witch in red.

"Let me show you the true power of a Blood Witch!

Curse of Implosion!"

Blair opened his palm, pulling a large amount of the Blood Ring around him into a ball. He clenched his hand into a fist. A minor shockwave spread from the blood ball as it exploded.

Immediately, Siderius vomited blood. Several blood vessels within his body erupted at the same time, flooding his organs with blood.

Siderius rolled over and hid beside a wall.

"How does that feel, white witch?!" Blair smirked. Even though he wasn't even that better off. The wound on his belly had closed but his skin was pale as a dead man. He had lost too much blood.

"I hate witch curses." Siderius mumbled.

He took out the small bottle of Flesh Restoration and chugged it down in one go.

The blood vessels inside Siderius' chest healed instantly. However, there was still a lot of blood flowing freely inside the empty space of his chest.

Leaving it there would lead to unimaginable consequences.

Siderius pulled out his hunter's knife and precisely sliced open a pathway on the side of his ribcage.

Blood flooded out like a dam.

"Argh! I'm going to need to make a Blood Restoration or something similar after this."

Once the free-flowing blood was removed. Siderius pulled a few drops of Flesh Restoration on the wound and it closed immediately.

"How did he target me?"

Siderius' eyes flashed purple as he used the Mystic Eyes to observe his body.

Blair needed at least some type of anchor or target to apply the curse onto Siderius. Otherwise, Blair had to establish a connection like how Nora did in the church, reaching her tentacles out to affect the target.

Siderius didn't see Blair establishing a connection. So he figured it must be because of an anchor.

But he couldn't find any trace of magic on his body.

"No anchor... Then how..."

"Well, pretty boy! Are you just going to hide? Or are you going to face me and fight? I thought you said there will only be one of us walking out of here alive.

It must be me then. HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Blair's voice echoed throughout the docks.

Siderius remained calm. He's trying to rationalize everything and thought of a fitting battle plan.

"It sounds like he's trying to fish me out. Why is that I wonder? Is it because he needs to see me to apply the curse? Not really true since curse needs more than vision alone to be effective. There must be something I didn't think of."

"Found you!"

Blair crushed the second blood sphere and intended to explode all of Siderius' blood vessels again.

The hunter survived once thanks to his tonic. But he wouldn't have enough blood to survive a second strike.

As Blair thought he was winning, the flow of his mana vibrated and suddenly, it was severed.

The Curse of Implosion was disrupted with another <Dispellera>. It caused Blair to freeze in place. He was too surprised that even a more powerful spell could be interrupted.

"How can this be?" Blair licked his lips. "I want this spell! If I have it, I will be unstoppable."

Blair's bloodlust was replaced with greed. <Dispellera> was a spell that he had never seen before. A spell that could counter other spells.

Siderius used this opportunity, while Blair was distracted, to relocate to a new hiding spot.

"He successfully targeted me again. How?"

Siderius switched from Mystic Eyes to True Eyes. He immediately noticed the difference.

"Those things in the air... I see. That is the reason."

The hunter slotted an Odor Bomb into the sling.

"It's time to counter attack."

Siderius kept the True Vision and rushed out of his cover. He flung the Odor Bomb to Blair.

The witch in red clothes raised a new blood barrier to protect himself. Against his expectation, the explosion was rather small and there was no impact force at all.

However, a cloud of green smoke suddenly enveloped him.

"What is this? Disgusting!"

Blair's stomach churned. He was able to hold in the vomiting but still he was both revolted and offended at the same.

"Why do you even use this lowly spell, white witch!"

Blair roared. He stumbled out of the green cloud to find a new location. He needed to breathe fresh air as quickly as possible.

Siderius was there to meet him. He was spinning the sling to fling another bomb at Blair.

But Blair reacted fast. When he saw Siderius, he immediately activated another Curse of Implosion.

"There you are!"

Blair crushed another blood sphere. Originally, he had five blood spheres around him. Two of them were used. This was the third one.

Siderius smirked. Before Blair was able to finish his magic, Siderius drew a cross in the air, creating a green barrier around him.

For some reason, Blair's Curse of Implosion failed.

"You?!"

Siderius released the Pellets Bomb at Blair. The explosion was blocked by the blood barrier but not the pellets. They easily pierced through the blood barrier again.

"Cunning bastard!" Blair clenched his jaw.

Before the pellets reached him, Blair reached into his chest and held a small straw doll. His magic flooded the doll and activated its power.

The doll was the Substitution Dummy.

"You think I would allow you to use the same trick three times on me?" Siderius laughed.

He deactivated <Parare> then drew three circles in the air. The symbol of <Dispellera> appeared with its unique interlocking circles.

Blair's magic was disrupted and he couldn't activate the Substitution Dummy.

"That spell can even stop an item?!"

Everything slowed down significantly in Blair's perception. It was no magic, but simply his brain working overtime because of the deadly threat that was coming for him.

The witch in red clothes jumped back as much as he could and sliced his wrist, the main artery was cut open. Blood poured out like a flood.

The red barrier was reinforced and became three times as powerful from before.

The pellets slammed on the thick blood sphere.
