I Am The Only Witch Hunter

"What was that spell that you used? The one that is able to interrupt my magic." Blair said.

"Wouldn't you like to know." Siderius smirked.

"Arrogant bastard."

Blair chopped his hand downwards, releasing all the blood spears toward Siderius.

The witch hunter drew a cross in the air. A faint green barrier appeared around Siderius.

The blood spears were much stronger than the arrows from the assassins' crossbows. Each spear was able to penetrate a few centimeters into the barrier and caused cracks to the surrounding.

"Your defensive spells aren't that good. You need to study more." Blair's face distorted with a smile.

"Is it?"

Siderius dissipated the barrier and charged at Blair.

Suddenly, he felt like all the blood in his body boiled at the same time. Siderius' vision blurred.

Waves of mana spread out from Blair's hand, affecting the blood inside Siderius.

"You aren't the only one with a weakening spell, white witch!"

"Weakening spell? Ah. He must be referring to <Vertigo>."

Siderius drew another V in the air and once more applied the vertigo effect onto Blair.

The witch in red clothes stumbled around. He could feel the food in his stomach screaming to crawl out of his throat. He tried his best to hold it in.

His vision wasn't blurred like Siderius but everything seemed to be spinning non-stop.

"This goddamn spell!" Blair cursed. "Is it also hemomancy?"

There weren't that many spells that could cause an effect like hemomancy and <Vertigo>. A few special illusion spells could achieve a similar effect but not exactly this type of unbearable dizziness.

Siderius' endurance was much higher than Blair so he recovered first. The witch hunter gave up on approaching the witch in red clothes.

He sheathed the Blazing Soul and grabbed the bow on his back.

"Let's play ranged then."

Siderius grabbed ten arrows and held it in his draw-hand. He took the initiative and made his first move.

Blair was still partially affected by <Vertigo>. Siderius had a very short window of opportunity to gain the upper hand.

The witch hunter ran around the witch in a circle while continuously shooting the arrows at him. The arrows weren't aimed at a singular target, Siderius switched between attacking the center mass of Blair, his limbs, his organs.

The barrage of arrows flooded Blair.

"Arrows? What are you? A poacher?"

Blair sliced at his forearm, pouring even more blood outside. A barrier made of blood enveloped Blair.

If these were Siderius' previous obsidian arrows, they would obviously be stopped. But he had iron tips now. Both the penetration power and speed were greatly increased thanks to the change in material.

The iron arrows pierced into the blood barrier but could only go inside a few centimeters. The tips emerged on the other side and couldn't go further.

"I really can't underestimate you, white witch." Blair said.

Suddenly, Blair heard the whoosh of another arrow. But he couldn't understand why Siderius was shooting. The blood barrier covered Blair on all sides, only the top was open.

"The top?!"

Blair looked up to see an arrow flew in a curve and was going directly at his face.

The blood barrier moved and reached up to cover Blair. The arrow was stopped in time.

"Curved shot? What kind of spell is this?"

As Blair moved his blood barrier up to cover the top, his feet were exposed. Another whoosh sound was heard. Blair could feel the wind blowing underneath.

"This opportunist!"

The blood barrier moved down again, protecting Blair from Siderius' arrow.

Another whoosh was heard. However, it sounded heavier this time.

"A big arrow?" Blair mumbled.

The Phosphorus Bomb clashed on the blood barrier. Immediately, a blinding white light took over the House of God. A blue flame spread to every corner of the blood barrier.

Blair was the first to feel the intense heat of the blue flame.

He tried to use his magic to extinguish the flame. But it was no use. The blue flame stuck like glue and wouldn't go away.

The mana-filled blood was burned away with its passing seconds.

"Curved shot and now a blue flame? How can a Monstrosity have this much power?"

Blair knew that he needed to take back the initiative. Siderius had been controlling the flow of the battle since the beginning.

If things continued like this, Blair would surely lose.

The witch in red clothes bit his tongue and did the unthinkable. He gave up on the blood barrier and retrieved as much mana as he could. Then, Blair used those mana to replenish his blood pool.

The witch left a little bit of mana left in the barrier to hurl it at Siderius.

"Hmmm. Smart move." Siderius said.

He jumped to the side to avoid the burning blood. At the same time, Blair used the opportunity to retreat from his location and hid behind a stack of wooden boxes.

Their battle began in the House of God and dragged to the docks of Blacklungs.

"Tired yet?" Siderius leaned his back against a stone pillar and slotted the Pellets Bomb inside the sling.

"You have a lot of tricks, white witch!" Blair shouted back.

"So you're still at the same place."

Siderius didn't waste any time and threw the Pellets Bomb at the stack of boxes. The clay ball exploded and sent hundreds of spherical Brick Beans in all directions.

"Shit! Now what?"

Blair cut into his flesh and summoned another barrier.

The Pellets Bomb had much more power and speed than the arrows. The pellets had no issues piercing through the magical blood barrier.

Siderius' eyes flashed purple as he used the Mystic Eyes to observe Blair. He noticed that Blair's magic was channeled for a split of a second before he was hit.

"Just right before the damage. I see…"

Blair was pierced into a piece of sponge. His body fell to the ground again and turned into ash.

Not too far away, a third Blair appeared. He had the same clothes, the same appearance.

"Fuck! You just cost me two Substitution Dummies! You will pay for this! Whoever you are, witch!"

Siderius smirked and replied to the witch, "You are too optimistic, Blair. Only one of us is going to walk out of here alive."
