Things happened just like how it did with him, the only thing which was different was that he was in Merlin's position, seeing his younger self growing up step by step.

At one point he was just doing what he remembered Merlin doing, unsure whether it was the right thing or not, he knew that his younger one will have resentment towards him, becuase he was the same.

However, he also knew that his younger self will eventually understand, becuause he it as well.

"There is no changing time, what is going to happen, will happen. And if it doesn't then it weren't suppose to happen. Trying to change the past will only shade your current future as it is.

Its possible that present represents your past action, not the one who is supposed to take action but rather the one who wasn't supposed to be there in the first place."

There were the words, he didn't believe them, naive he was. Even when he thought that he could do something, he couldn't. The more he struggle the more he came to the same result.

Eric, or Merlin to be exact said this to him, he didn't understood back then, just like his Younger one didn't understood when he repeated this line to him.

Sigh...

"Its time to finally end this..." Orion mutter to himself as he was getting ready to finally face it.

"Are you ready..." Suddenly came out a voice, which Orion just hmm to. This was a familiar voice, old and raspy with its unique sly tone.

"Are things Ready, this is gonna to be our one and the only stands." Orion asked to the man in front of him, he was old with complete white hars and one of his eyes were different colour then other.

This was none other than Grindelwald. Back in time, Orion help him out build a prison where he could say without dying. Death couldn't claim his life due to him spending more than half century in that castle, waiting for the right time to come.

Once that was done though, he was out, and started working with Orion who was acting Merlin that time to work behind the scene to prepare for the rebirth of magic.

"We have done whatever we could." Grindelwald just reply and then went out, clearly what he said wasn't completely true seeing how he was still rushing to do something.

"Sigh...

'After getting both Merlin's and Eric memories, I was basically was able to understand what happened in the past and how things span out, how they did.

Death took advantage of the vulnerable time when Merlin gave away half of his power to his successor and attack the guardian.

This ended up splitting the ancient magic which was given to the Guardian.

Either Merlin nor Eric was a match to Death at that time, this happened a thousand years also when she use Morgana as her vessel to get the power of Rebirth.

However, Merlin back then even with half of the power was able to push her back at the cost of his life. This cost half of the power Inside Merlin to disappear, secretly locked up in his blood line. Meaning his heir will get this half of the power. While other half was still with with his successor.

Eric really did turn himself into a Vampire to stay alive until the next succesor for the guardian could be chosen. This was mainly due to how long it was for the next guardian to come.

Almost a thousand years. That was a very long time and even with powerful magic, he couldn't live that long.

Thus finding a way to live upto that time was necessary. But turning into a vampire also had its problem like not being able to use magic.

So that ancient guardian magic was trapped inside him while he turn into a Vampire.

However, things didn't work out the way they suppose to. Though he turn into a Vampire, he also ended up dying due to Death's curse.

Turn out that Vampires, which even Merlin long hinted to him that were actually created for prolong life by some wizards or witch a long time ago was him hinting that it was none other than death.

Though even with Merlin's memories, there was no sure sort way to know this but it was clear that the one who created Vampire race was Death along time ago in the pursued of immortality.

Of course she failed, thought pure blood Vampires are kind of Immortal but they have to give up on their magic.

Even the pure blooded Vampire can't do magic and that why it was an failure project at best.

But then she maybe ended up turning this into her personal undead army.

As for why go after him or Elena. It was clear, we have Merlin's blood.

She can sense us, she was after the power which was passed down to us.

This was also the reason why Eric, the real Successor of Merlin, ended up locking himself inside that castle and died there.

It was his idea to put himself there until the right person to come and take away half of the guardian power from him.

But both Elena and Eric just leave things to fate. That was the frustrating thing in their plan, what if things didn't work out like they did. They believe too much on the word of the prophecy. Sigh...'

Orion sigh and then got up, it was finally time to put all this to end. As he got out of the room he was in, he saw 2 people waiting for him there.

"So you too came..." Orion said with a little nasty expression on his face.

" Orion... don't start again." Said one of them, this was a girl who technically should have been dead for a long time.

"Don't bother Hermione, something not gonna change no matter what." Another voice came and this was the object of Orion's dissatisfaction.

"Iron…"

"Ambrosius…"

Yup… Both Hermione and Nick were alive. Orion after knowing the truth wouldn't let Hermoine die, though for the natural progression of the plot, he didn't let her go Hogwarts again after second year either.

Under the constant pleas of Hermione, Orion also had to save Nick. Though he didn't like this cheap Harry Potter's guts but ultimately he too just like many was a victim of both Death and Morgana.

It was quite troublesome doing that in front of morgana. Fooling that woman that Nick was death was hard.

"Lets get going. Its time…" Hermione said and turn around. Nick also glare at Orion and then follow.

Orion had no idea whether they were together or not but now that Hermione's death was not on his conscious, he didn't give two shit what they do.

He after learning the truth about Hermione, Don't particularly have any enmity towards her, however, her relationship towards Nick was an eyesore for Orin.

They also explain the entire story to Orion about Nick own world and him sharing the Memories of her Hermione with the one here and Orion to this could only say this…

"Control C and V… classic…" Orion just shrugged at this and move on, once there was maybe something between both him and Hermione but now there was only Rose and Daphne for him.

As he got out of the mansion he was in, he saw thousand of wizards there, standing outside.

It was nothing less than an mini army at this point.

This was all Grindelwald doing, this was what he was doing all this time, preparing for the final battle.

He was offered to be the commandar but he refused, he had no idea how to do that and they won't easily listen to him, not to mention he most likely will be fighting upfront so he didn't wanted to do that.

"Its time, lets go…" Grindelwald said from the side, and hearing this Orion nodded.

He wave his hands and a giant portal was open. To the place where the rebirth fo magic was about to take place.

He learn about this too after becoming the Guardian. The place on Moon of all places.

Who would have thought.

"Will of D indeed."
