Chapter 362: Chapter 362 : Merlin

As Orion, Grindelwald, Dumbledore, Hermione, and Nick stood on the surface of the moon with thousands of other wizards, they stared in awe and apprehension at the scene unfolding before them. Above them, a powerful beam of magic from the far reaches of space was pouring down onto the moon, casting a brilliant light that was almost blinding. It was a sight they had never seen before—a cosmic rebirth of magic that shimmered and pulsed with pure energy.

Orion could feel the raw, ancient power vibrating in the air, filling him with a strange combination of hope and foreboding.

"Can you feel this magic,.." Orion asked to Grindelwald and Dumbledore who were beside him. Almost everyone was there beside Rose and Daphne. Orion knew that those two girl will surely come if he tell them about what is about to happen here. Orion was selfish here and didn't wanted that to happen, didn't wanted to put them into trouble.

He knew that he will have a heck of a time explaining this to those two especially after not meeting them for 2 years according to their timeline. For him, it was way too long.

Shaking his head, he diverted his attention back to what was happening in front of him. They were after all were here to protect this transfer of Magic.

They have to stay vigilant.

Rebirth of magic, or you can say the refil of magic to the world is an occurrence which only take places once in a 1000 years.

Form 1000 years the world loses its magic when wizards use spells. Even births need chaos energy which is present here.

This refil of magic is not just the source of magic but also the source of all life in the world. If this was taken over by death, birth rate will collapse all over the world in the upcoming century to the point that life will cease to exist.

Let alone the end of wizarding society which will take place way before that.

Now after this long time, even someone like Orion has started to feel like many things in this world is design by fate itself.

Otherwise why only few handful of people are capable of magic. Why not everyone.

Are they special ? Or it could be that they are there so they can protect the gift they are given. Magic that is…

Shaking his head, Orion stepped himself from getting distracted and turn back to the rebirth of magic itself. Till now nothing was wrong and then finally something happened.

As if in answer to their fears, a thick shadow began to slither around the light, dimming it with an eerie darkness that seemed to stretch endlessly across the moon's surface. The wizards watched as the light of magic was steadily consumed, swallowed by a force so sinister it seemed to pull the very warmth from the air around them.

Orion felt a chill crawl down his spine as the darkness settled, taking form. From the shadows, ranks of soldiers began to emerge, each cloaked in dark, impenetrable armor, their faces hidden beneath hoods and masks. Their eyes glowed red with an unnatural malice, each of them exuding an aura of death. It was an army—Death's army. The soldiers moved in perfect, silent formation, like an endless sea of shadows marching toward them.

Orion honestly was hoping for her to not show up, though this will futher delay this battle for another thousand years but still, as he said he wanted to be selfish.

Dumbledore raised his wand, his expression grim yet determined. "This is it. The final stand."

Hermione, standing nearby, swallowed but didn't hesitate, gripping her wand tightly, her face set with courage. Nick and Grindelwald exchanged a nod, Of course they went along together fabulously for some damn reason, and without a word, the wizards braced themselves.

The dark army surged forward like a wave crashing on a shore, rushing at the wizards with deadly intent. Orion wasted no time. With a powerful swipe of his hand, he unleashed a torrent of flames toward the shadow soldiers, trying to hold them back. But was immediately stopped by Dumbledore and Grindelwald.

"What…"

"Save your magic, you are the only one who can fight her, leave them to the rest of us.."

Dumbledore joined in, casting a series of spells in quick succession. Streams of blue and silver light spiraled from his wand, slicing through the darkness and hitting several soldiers, causing them to disintegrate into black mist. But for every soldier destroyed, ten more seemed to take its place.

Hermione fought alongside them, casting defensive spells that formed protective barriers for the wizards behind her. She moved with precision, her magic weaving shields that glowed bright in the dark surroundings. Nick conjured a storm of wind and lightning, the bolts striking down on the shadow soldiers with fierce intensity.

Grindelwald unleashed his own powerful spells, dark and fierce as he hurled curses that scattered the shadow soldiers around him. He looked more driven than Orion had ever seen, dude sure had resentment for what that woman did to him.

The soldiers pressed on, seemingly endless as they closed in around the wizard alliance. Dark magic filled the air, and the moon's surface became a chaotic swirl of spells, screams, and shadows. Orion could feel his own strength wavering, yet he pushed forward, rallying those around him, encouraging them to hold their ground.

As the battle raged, Orion's eyes darted to the beam of light above them—the rebirth of magic still pulsing with energy, though it was fading under the weight of the darkness. Orion realized that they needed to protect it, to keep the light of magic alive or they would have no hope of winning.

He looked to Hermione and signaled toward the source of the light. "Handle it here, I have to get going, she is here" He said, he could feel it, maybe it was the Guardian magic inside him that why he feel that death was here.

There was no feeling in his left hand where he got the mark of Death earlier, but he felt a little coldness which was almost not here.

Hermione nodded, understanding. She gestured to Dumbledore, who called out to the other wizards, rallying them to form a defensive line as Hermione, and Grindelwald prepared to make their way through the ranks of shadow soldiers solely focusing on handling the undead.

And while there were at it, Orion made his way towards the light itself.

The rebirth of magic was so close now, blinding and pure, yet surrounded by a thick layer of darkness that threatened to consume it entirely. Orion reached out, feeling the pull of the energy, sensing that this was the heart of everything—the final showdown between life and death.

Just as he was about to move on, he felt a dangerous feeling. Though the entire army was behind him, however, even if they were their standing in front of him, it wouldn't matter. He could eradicate them with a single spell.

But a feeling of danger, that was rare, rare especially after when he gotten this strong.

At first he thought that this was of course death but that wasn't the case at all. He saw an very familiar face in front of him, someone he wasn't expecting at all.

"MERLIN…" His eyes widen.

This was not the Merlin he knew, the one which he play as. But the real Merlin. The one who's memories he got.

More like he was a zombie version of him.

"How come his zombie version is here, and how come this zombie too can use magic ?" Orion complain.
