How Kurama Leads Naruto Astray

The group of horseback riders caught up to the woman who looked like a princess. They were dressed in ancient armor, surrounding her in the center. Their faces were unreadable, while the princess appeared pitiful, half-sitting on the ground, tears streaming down her face. 

The passersby seemed uncomfortable but, for some reason, none of them spoke up. 

Naruto and Sasuke stood nearby. Naruto nudged Sasuke's arm and quietly asked, "I think we could go help that girl. She'd probably be happy to let us ride her horse." 

Sasuke replied indifferently, "Use your brain. Everyone around here looks used to it. Clearly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Either they're filming a scene, or there's some other reason."

"Don't act impulsively, we can observe for a while longer."

Naruto scratched the back of his head. "Really?"

"Yes." Sasuke nodded.

He had become smarter now. Back at the last town, he had trusted Jiraiya and Naruto's advice, and had done some things, beaten some people up, only to later find out that Jiraiya had been spying. The people Sasuke had fought were actually workers at a bathhouse.

Then, the whole town surrounded him, and he was wrongly accused of being the one spying. He barely escaped, and only managed to avoid their pursuit using a transformation jutsu. When he finally found Jiraiya and Naruto, those two were happily eating grilled meat, grinning away.

No wonder Naruto ran off without saying anything. Turns out that Naruto knew exactly what Jiraiya had done. Sasuke was so angry that he cursed Naruto with the cursed seal and challenged him to a real fight.

Since then, Sasuke never trusted Jiraiya again, and he put Naruto on his "do not trust" list.

I have to admit, Sasuke had grown over the past week. He was no longer the gullible guy who would run off to help anyone just because they said so. He had matured, evolved, and grown up.

So now, he absolutely wouldn't act first, unless Naruto went ahead.

Naruto, who had been tricked by Kurama and Jiraiya before, realized that they should be more careful now. "How about this: We use transformation jutsu, save that woman, tie these guys up, and then each take a horse and run."

"At worst, we can return their horses afterward and say we beat the bad guys and got the horses back." 

Sasuke's eyes lit up, and he nodded seriously. "Sounds good."

"Let's find a hidden spot to transform first." Naruto grinned, pulling Sasuke toward a nearby alley.

"Who should we transform into?" Sasuke asked seriously. "If the transformation isn't convincing, we'll be caught. We need to pick someone who looks like they could do this kind of thing."

Naruto lowered his head, thinking for a moment. After a while, his eyes lit up, and he quietly leaned toward Sasuke's ear.

Sasuke's eyes also brightened.

The two partners in crime exchanged a knowing glance and turned without hesitation toward the dark alley. Less than ten seconds later, with a soft puff of smoke, two white-haired figures staggered out of the alley, unnoticed by everyone.

Meanwhile, in the center of the commotion, Sandaifu looked helplessly at Fujikaze Yukie. "Your Highness, you really don't need to do this."

Fujikaze Yukie gave a pitiful look around at the crowd, but received no response. She knew this kind of drama had happened many times before, and everyone here was already used to it. In an instant, her expression turned cold.

She wiped away her fake tears from the corner of her eyes and pointed directly at Sandayu. "I'm not going to the Land of Snow."

"You must go, it's the director's request." Sandayu said, trying to persuade her earnestly.

"Is it the director's request, or your request?" Fujikaze Yukie sneered. "Don't think I don't know what you're thinking, Sandayu. I've told you, I will never go back there. If you want to die, you can go back yourself."

"But Your Highness..." Sandayu opened his mouth to say something but closed it abruptly.

There were too many people around, and it wasn't the right place to say it outright. Sandayu sighed helplessly. "Sorry, Your Highness."

He waved his hand to signal the people behind him. These were all cast members for the movie. Though it seemed a little strange to overhear their conversation, it wasn't too odd, considering the film contained even stranger lines. It was nothing.

The people stepped forward, preparing to grab Fujikaze Yukie

But just then, two figures suddenly appeared in front of them, blocking the way in front of Fujikaze Yukie, looking incredibly righteous.

As Sandayu instinctively became alert and was about to speak, the two white-haired figures, one in front and the other behind, spoke.

Kakashi's face was cold. "I heard someone calling my name, so I came at the speed of light."

His's face was comically exaggerated. "Wind! Sky! Earth!"

Kakashi: 

"Let's bring peace to the whole world!"

Jiraiya: "Let the beauty reach the universe!"

Kakashi: "Whether it's an angel or a demon, as long as they call that name..."

Jiraiya: "It's a voice that will make anyone tremble with its charm."

Kakashi covered his face with one hand, looking extremely dramatic: "Hatake Kakashi!"

Jiraiya squatted down slightly, arms spread out: "Sage Jiraiya!"

Kakashi: "We are the main characters of this era!"

Jiraiya: "We are invincible!"

Kakashi + Jiraiya: "Konohagakure Ninja Squad, woo!"

Fujikaze Yukie: "..."

Sandayu: "..."

The crowd watching: "..."

Kurama, who was sealing the space, hit the ground with a strong force. The whole fox figure rolled around wildly on the ground, laughing so hard that it almost lost its breath.

These two are really something. He only said those lines once, and they memorized them, not only memorized them but also changed them into their own version. Jiraiya and Kakashi's reputation has been ruined. Although these two never had a good reputation, this time they truly became famous.

At least in this small town, everyone knows them now.

Fujikaze Yukie's lips trembled slightly. While she really hoped someone would come and save her, at least give her a chance to escape, she definitely didn't want to be saved by these two lunatics. She would rather go to the Land of Snow!

Sandayu felt a bit at a loss. He thought he should introduce himself as a client from Konohagakure and ask these two if they were the elite ninjas who took his mission, but... he couldn't say it. Right now, he just wanted to replace these two with a couple of normal Konohagakure ninjas. It wouldn't be too much to ask, right? Just two who are a bit more normal than these two.

Excited, extremely excited, Naruto still thought those lines sounded cool. He'd thought they were cool when Kurama told him about them, and he'd always wanted to try them out. Now he could finally say them out loud with pride!
