How Kurama Leads Naruto Astray

Before Sandayu could say anything, Naruto turned to Fujikaze Yukie, his face filled with a smile like Jiraiya's: "Miss, don't be afraid. I and Sas... Kakashi will rescue you!"

Fujikaze Yukie paused for a moment.

Honestly, she was grateful to the old man in front of her for saving her, but she wasn't very willing to be saved by Jiraiya.

Jiraiya wasn't ugly, but the way he usually behaved made him look far from handsome. So, while Naruto's smile seemed normal to him, Fujikaze Yukie found it a little difficult to accept.

Alright, honestly, it just looked ugly.

Fujikaze Yukie swallowed and a hint of awkwardness appeared on her pretty face. "Actually, I'm just acting with Sandayu and the others. You might have misunderstood."

"That's right, that's right!" Sandayu nodded repeatedly. He couldn't let these weird guys take the princess away. What if they weren't even ninjas sent by Konohagakure?

The most important thing was that the princess had finally agreed to let him take her back, and Sandayu thought he should seize this chance and get the princess to promise to return to the Land of Snow.

With that thought, Sandayu turned his gaze to 'Kakashi'. This person seemed a bit more serious than the old man and should be easier to talk to.

Sandayu forced a smile onto his face. "Well, um, this ninja, I actually sent a mission to Konohagakure before. The task was to protect the princess. If you two are from Konohagakure, then you must have received that mission and come here, right?" 

Sasuke was stunned for a moment upon hearing this. "You're Asama Sandayu?" 

Sandayu suddenly shivered, quickly nodding. "Yes, yes, that's me. Looks like there's been a misunderstanding." 

Heaven and Earth, it really is them! Sandayu felt like crying. Does Konohagakure have a grudge against him? Why else would they send two brainless ninjas for this mission? 

Never mind, I need to save the princess first! 

I can't let these two brainless guys get their hands on the princess! 

While Sandayu was agitated, Naruto and Sasuke stood there stunned, glancing at each other. They both saw the awkwardness in each other's eyes. Honestly, they never expected the mission client to be the two people in front of them. 

Ugh, what now? Naruto's eyes flickered nervously. 

Sasuke thought for a moment, then looked at Naruto with a determined gaze. "Let's just knock them out, steal the horses, and run. We can use transformation jutsu. That pervy sage is in this town, they'll go after him!" 

Naruto's eyes lit up. "Good idea, Sasuke!" 

But Naruto hesitated a little, feeling it wasn't quite right. After all, Sandayu was their mission client. How could they knock out the client and run away? They'd probably think all Konohagakure ninjas are thieves. 

Sasuke gave Naruto a reassuring look. 

"Don't worry. This town has no other ninjas, it's a neutral peace zone. No one will cause trouble here. We'll go easy on them, make sure they're out for only a short time. You can leave a shadow clone to keep an eye on them. Then we'll just say we're the ninjas assigned to the mission and that we don't know Jiraiya or Kakashi." 

"Anyway, Tsunade isn't merciful, and Jiraiya and Kakashi are heartless. They've used transformation jutsu to trick people without hesitation." 

Naruto nodded seriously. "You talk too much, but I'm sticking with you." 

So, the two unscrupulous guys decided to blame Jiraiya and Tsunade. 

Unaware, Sandayu took a deep breath to calm himself, preparing to speak, but at that moment, a large fist suddenly appeared before him. With his mind spinning, Sandayu passed out instantly. 

In an instant, Naruto and Sasuke had used their ninja skills to knock out a group of ordinary people. Even though Naruto and Sasuke were only genin... well, they really were just genin. 

In less than three seconds, Fuji Fubuki could only see the two ninjas suddenly disappear. Three seconds later, they stood in place. She looked at Sandayu and the others, all of whom wore surprised expressions. Before Fuji Fubuki could speak, everyone in the area... except for her... collapsed to the ground. 

They were all knocked out. 

Fujikaze Yukie paused, feeling like she should've passed out too. 

Wait! Fujikaze Yukie shivered, her eyes wide with fear as she looked at Naruto and Sasuke. She pushed herself back with her hands, retreating. "What do you want to do? Sandayu's mission was to protect me! You... you can't hurt me!" 

Naruto walked in front of Fuji Fubuki, giving her a strange look. "Why would we hurt you? In fact, didn't Kakashi save you?" 

Sasuke glanced at Fujikaze Yukie, then walked over to a nearby horse, the largest one. He nodded in satisfaction and turned to Naruto. "Let's go. We've got other things to do." 

"Oh, yeah!" Hearing Sasuke, Naruto quickly left Fuji Fubuki behind, choosing a decent horse and happily hopping onto it. 

Both horses seemed a bit wild, snorting loudly when the two of them mounted. But right after the sound, Naruto's body flickered with a red chakra, and he lightly slapped the horse's rear. "Good, behave."

The two horses immediately became calm, as obedient as children.

Oh wait, no, your child probably isn't as well-behaved as these two horses. It's more accurate to say they're as obedient as a child seeing seven wolves.

Once Sasuke got on the horse, he felt a bit dizzy, something wasn't right, but it felt good.

Naruto felt the same. Using the little bit of remaining reason, he looked at Fujikaze Yukie and gave a wide grin, giving a thumbs up. 

"Let's go, my old buddy!"

With that, he kicked the horse's sides, and as the horse reared up and neighed, it was like two free cowboys riding off into the distance. They didn't care where the destination was or what the journey held; as long as they were on horseback, they wouldn't stop.

If this scene had a sunset in the background, it might look really beautiful.

Of course, that's how Naruto and Sasuke saw it. To Fujikaze Yukie, though... these two were just insane.

Unbelievable. They knocked everyone out, stole the horses, and ran off. She's the main character in this drama, yet no one cares about her. Where did these lunatics come from? If you were to say she wasn't pretty, that might make some sense, but is she ugly? Not at all! She's very beautiful, a movie star, an international superstar!

These two lunatics didn't care about her at all. They just jumped on the horses and ran off. If you didn't know better, you'd think they weren't there to save her but to save the horses instead.

Watching these two crazy people ride off, Fujikaze Yukie sat on the ground and looked around. These two were something else—knocked everyone out, and the onlookers ran off as soon as they showed up. Now, she was the only one left awake.

Hmm… might as well keep running.

Without hesitation, Fuji Mountain Yukihira got up, walked over to her horse, and rode off.
