Samuel was many things but he wasn't a coward. He knew what he did wrong and reflected on his mistakes often that's what it meant to be a man.
The second he entered the venue with Delphina, Sharon and Alexis, he felt strong ominous eyes glancing his way but he chalked it up to his recent achivements.
It was evident that the news of him making a mockery of the LVHM annual meeting must have got out few hours ago. He made more money in past few week than some people dreamed in their lifetime.
He thought they were jealous which was why they were giving him the stick eyes but soon he noticed not everyone who looked his way were normal guests.
He was cautious for a while and stayed away from his acquaintances to get a feel of what really was happening around him. With his superior hearing, he could listen in to every conversation around him whether they talked loudly or were whispering to one another.
He relaxed his guard a bit when Anastasiya approached him but became alert when he met Richard Rockefeller. The whole conversation with him was odd.
He had already researched the bastard and what he found was plain evil to say the least. The girl who was with Richard when he first met him, narrowly escaped a dreadful fate because of his reminder.
But others were not so lucky. Several high ranking peoples were involved in covering up his 'deeds', from himan trafficking to sexual abuse, the list of victims were extensive.
Still, Samuel kept calm throughout the whole ordeal because he knew if he acted at that time it would have led to a brutal war between the two families.
He knew he couldn't save everyone but he vowed to get justice for them in the future. For now he could only watch him from afar, trying to know what sort of connection he had with the shadowy organisation.
This was precisely why he never approached either Kayla or Helga and others. He didn't want to put them in harm's way. He knew someone like Richard would also look into him trying to find his weakness but if he made him believe he was only having a week worth of fun with the young models, it would keep him away from those Samuel cared about.
No matter how powerful he was, against careful preparation and well intended strike, Richard could hurt him where it mattered the most.
At the same time, he also wanted them to think for themselves and carry on with their lives. What they had could be special but he hurt them more than he anticipated.
Now that Richard was leaving, Sameul thought of ways to make the little man so scared that he wouldn't dare to come after him for a while.
He knew Richard wasn't smart enough to partake in hacking but the scrawny person behind him definitely had something to do with this attack.
What puzzled him was the person didn't show any animosity or ill intent toward him. It was strange, if someone wanted to harm him, there should be some lingering emotions either hatefulness or guilt but what he felt was nothing.
It was his first time meeting such a person, someone so in control of their emotions that he couldn't feel any hint at all. Which was why, he decided to kidnap this person and interrogate them.
It was worrying because he had grew accustomed to sensing other's mind to make his judgement. It had saved his life numerous times. If there was someone who could go undetected under his radar, it was a threat he could never ignore.
" While they are getting ready to leave. I should tell you everything." Samuel turned back to see his two confidants.
Lucie and Raphael listened to his explanation. They never knew the fighting at the top was so vicious, for them the egos were everything and since Samuel made a fool of him in front of so many people that even his father spoke harshly to him for the second time in his life.
Samuel also pulled out his iphone and showed them his contingency plan. Being major shareholder of Apple and owner of android, he had all the sensitive codes of the operating system.
It only took him one evening to create something that would only be possible in the future. A system that shuts down the files and directing the attackers to a different servers which would be identical to any other phone with crumbs of data to ensure perpetrator stay connected to the cloud.
After going through several more layers of security, they would find themselves at an impasse which would ultimately lead to their demise as by this time, his own codes would infiltrate the attackers system giving him the exact coordinates.
He was biding his time waiting for that signal after which he could make his move.
" This thing is safer than fort knox so don't worry about anything." Samuel said with a smile.
" Are you going to confront them? Maybe I should bring some-"
" It's fine. There would be no bloodshed tonight. I just want to catch this rat because I am curious. How did this person manage to get through the initial protocols could shed some light to several vulnerabilities."
" Young master, it could be dangerous going ther alone." Lucie also voiced her worry.
" I said, I can handle it. You just have to take care of others. Please keep working with the girls for now, I will see you before leaving. We still haven't discussed your commissions." He chuckled.
" And Raphael, protect them with all your might. I don't care who it is but I don't want to see anyone hurt them. Also keep your men ready for anything as my actions could lead to some unforeseen circumstances."
" I will." Raphael nodded vigorously. His men were treated better and they also had a hefty raise for their services.
What else could a company commander want from his boss? The sharp notification on Samuel's phone signalled the end of their conversation. It was time to act!
