Chapter 1272: Reckoning-2
"Boy, you have guts to threaten me on my own turf! I don't know how you got inside but don't even think about making out of here alive." Samara extended her hand revealing her sharp nails. They were a perfect accessory for her to administer her deadly poison into her target's blood stream.
Meanwhile, everyone around her also formed a semi circle cutting off his only escape route. With their rifles pointed in his direction there was no chance for him to get away.
"I think you already know the answer how I got inside but that doesn't matter. I am not here to hide or coward in fear. Beside I am not locked in here with you but it's the opposite." Samuel stood up jerking his neck knowing his words wouldn't be enough.
"But since you are so desperate, I will tell you from today onwards this little base of yours will cease to exist!"
"Fuck you!" Samara had enough og his smugness. She bolted in his direction using his powerful legs to propel herself forward.
With years of enhancements, she was like a shooting bullets which was unbeciming of her supposed age. Samuel already anticipated her move so he ducked dodging her pointy nails which were gleaming with purple hue because of her poison.
He could tell that she welded something different but it was all the same for him. With how much immunity he had built by neutralizing Talia's poison, he was ready for anything!
But right as he cleared her attack, her people open fired. They weren't worried about their plasma bullets damaging the archives as he purposefully positioned himself in the quiet corner while they were experienced enough to miss the important sections while also avoiding their master.
The superheated charges bounced off his magic shield creating rainbow discharges which illuminated the whole space but no one had the heart to appreciate the beauty.
Samara lunged at him again engaging him in close combat trying to poison him but her every move was intercepted by his with ease. No human could even come close to matching him in physical prowess not even someone as enhanced as her.
Still some poison did land on his skin and face making them turn violet but there was no reaction on his face.
"Impossible! You should be writhing on the floor in pain by now!" Samara tried to catch her breath seeing her poison was not having desired affect.
She could see his skin reacting where her special serum had come in contact with them, there were blisters forming around them but there seemed to be something that was stopping their affects not to mention Samuel was still moving like it didn't affect him one but!
"I already told you, you guys are no match for me. Do you regret messing with me now?" Samuel smiled but it was not his previous warm smile.
Just a glance from him struck them with fear. They didn't know what type of technology he used but both poison and their plasma rifle had no affect on him!
"What are you waiting for! Kill him!" Samara bellowed which woke others from their stupor.
They didn't hold back anymore and started unloading their whole arsenal while Samara leapt from the range of fire watching it all unfold with satisfaction.
She did hear there were technologies out there that could disrupt plasma charge but those were some chatters but even those were not enough to block hundreds of discharges as they would drain rapidly under heavy fire. More importantly, it would drain faster under projectiles and they had both conventional and unconventional weapons which was perfect combination to take him down.
He lamented that she wouldn't be able to use him as specimen after this but she might be able to get some biological samples from his dead body.
She had seen how his body was resisting her poison which was a larming development for their whole clan. No matter how he did it, they would soon find out about it through their means, she was confident in this aspect.
After five minutes of continuous firing she raised her hand to signal them to stop firing fully confident the pesky little intruder was probably a mince meat that they would have to scrap off the floor.
But as the dust settled, all they saw was a blue sheen which covered him like a bubble and the person in question was standing inside without any harm which shocked her to the core.
"What...how can you still be standing?"
"Why? You think you are the only one with superior technology? Can't others have counter for your so called sophisticated weapons?"
Samara didn't know how to answer him. She had clearly underestimated her enemy, bith poison and their weapons had zero affect on him which was a gross miscalculation on her part.
Just as she was trying to come up with another way, Samuel moved disappearing from his spot appearing right behind her men.
Without any warning, he started knocking them down one by one before they could even react. Within seconds, her whole team was on the ground, she didn't even know if they were alive or dead!
"Now that I have taken care of these annoying flies, why don't we sit down and talk. I already know everything about this place so there is no escaping for you but I might offer a quick death for you if you answer my questions." He started walking in her direction without a care in the world.
"You...I will not do anything to betray my people. You might have won but don't think for a second that other elders would let you go knowing what you did here." Samara was still acting defiant looking for anything that she could take advantage off.
"I guess, it was just my hopeful thinking that you will co-operate still we will never know unless I try." He vanished again, appearing right in front of her. He grabbed her neck lifting her up in the air.
The deathly aura started permeating from his whole body which even scared Samara who had faced countless such scenarios before. But he wasn't ready to finish her off so easily knowing how much suffering she brought to people around her. He needed her for a much larger cause at least to use her to subdue her whole operation in one fell swoops.
