HDXD: Omni Harem System

Chapter 215: Free Roaming

"Does the president really know what I am?"

Moca's voice was soft, almost expressionless, but there was a faint edge to it, filled with both curiosity and worry.

Humans and Monster where after all, each other worse enemy.

And rightfully so, given how far back their history as a species go.

Adam sighed, his back turn from Moca as he continued to observe the beautiful city, and the dazzling moon from the Earth to Heaven.

As he quickly replied, saying.

"The Van Hellsing family slays monsters, demons, angels, and all kinds of sick critters from beyond the Supernatural Void. So yeah, I know you're a vampire the moment I saw you. I can sense your Monster Energy from a mile away you know."

Moca's crimson eyes flickered, a subtle tension creeping into her posture. She had come here to talk to him, to lay her cards on the table, but now she wondered if that was a mistake.

The danger of his station as a Van Hellsing pressed against her like a cold wind. Her instincts screamed caution, yet she stood her ground, fingers twitching slightly at her sides. She was a vampire, yes, but she wasn't here to fight.

Not yet, at least.

But before she could respond, Adam's voice cut through the silence again, his tone lighter but still sharp.

"Ease up, will you? You're radiating tension and bloodlust like a neon sign. If I wanted you dead, you would already be a pile of ash."

Moca blinked, caught off guard by his bluntness.

Her lips parted slightly, but no words came out. He was right...she was on edge, and he had seen right through her in an instant.

More than that, he knew things about her, things she hadn't expected him to pick up on so quickly. It unnerved her, but she forced herself to relax, letting her shoulders loosen as she met his gaze.

Adam tilted his head, studying her with an unreadable expression.

"I'm not here to hunt you, Moca Cain...

Adam bluntly said her name with Moca giving it.

Yet another reason to be unnerved, if know who she was, then it goes with saying he isn't afraid of her old man.

But Adam conversation going

"Not unless you give me a reason to. Keep the peace at my school, and we won't have a problem... Deal?"

Moca hesitated for a moment, then nodded slowly.

"Mnn… I won't cause trouble... I promise."

"Good."

Adam's tone softened, but his eyes remained sharp, like he was holding back more than he let on. He wasn't showing all his cards, and Moca could sense it.

Still, she felt a small wave of relief. He wasn't her enemy it would seem, and honestly speaking this was her biggest fear she had.

"But."

Adam continued, crossing his arms.

"That doesn't explain why you've been tailing me like a shadow... What is your deal Moca?!"

Moca's expression shifted, her usual playful confidence returning as she twirled a strand of silver hair around her finger.

"Mnn… well, since you're asking so nicely, I suppose I can tell you."

Her voice took on a teasing lilt.

"You see, my parents...oh, they're such a particular bunch, before I left the palace to come here, they gave me ten missions to complete. Five from my father, five from my mother. And if I don't finish them, I can't go back home. They'll disown me, if fail to complete even a single one."

Adam raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk tugging at his lips.

"Ten missions you say? That is, oddly specific. And let me guess, one of them has something to do with me?"

"Mnn, you're sharp!"

Moca's eyes gleamed, though there was a hint of nervousness behind her playful tone.

"One of those tasks is to join the student council. Either as the Security for the Student Council President or… the Vice President."

She paused, gauging his reaction.

"That is why I've been, well, following you. I need to get close to the top dog, you know?"

Adam chuckled, shaking his head, as he responded as such.

"Your parents sound like a real piece of work."

"Mnn, you have no idea."

Moca said with a dramatic sigh, her hands clasping together as if pleading for sympathy.

"They're so extra. But that is beside the point. I need your help, Prez."

Adam's smirk faded into a more serious expression. As he prepare to answer Moca, saying as such.

"Look, I get it. You've got your orders, and you're desperate. But I can't just hand out student council positions because a pretty girl bats her eyes at me. The council's gotta be the best of the best. No exceptions, even for the crown prince."

Moca's face fell, her usual confidence wavering.

"Mnn… please, Prez, you have to reconsider. I have to do this. If I don't...

"Easy."

Adam interrupted, raising a hand. He studied her for a moment, his expression softening just a fraction.

"I'm not saying no outright. But you've gotta prove yourself. The final exam's in less than two hours, and it's gonna decide everyone's standing in this academy. If you can place in the top five, I'll consider you for the council. Security or Vice President, we'll see... Deal?"

Moca's eyes lit up, a wide, almost mischievous smile spreading across her face.

"Mnn! You won't regret this, Prez!"

She bowed deeply, her silver hair spilling forward like a curtain.

"I won't fail you... I promise!"

Adam waved her off, turning back to the view of the city below.

"Yeah, yeah. Just don't make me regret this, vampire."

He said in a threatening tone, truth be told he actually like Moca. But in the original game of HDXD, Moca is known for sexual attraction towards man with great mystery, and power.

And he besides the MC, is the closest she would get to that.

So in a way, be was silently shooting his shot.

Moca of course just nodded in agreement.

As she straightened herself, her smile lingered, but there was a flicker of determination in her crimson eyes.

The exam was her chance to prove she wasn't just a vampire princess coasting on her family's name. She would show him, and everyone else, what she was capable of.

"See it down Prez, I will make sure to head to very top."

"Good, now you may kindly excuse yourself."

Hearing this Moca just bowed respectfully, as she turn back into a shadow, and disseapear from Adams sight.

Right after Adam the muttered to himself.

"I should look around some more."

He pushed off the side of the auditorium roof, his boots echoing softly as he descended back toward the academy's bustling grounds.

The night air was, and the campus was alive with anticipation, students scurrying to prepare for the final exam that loomed less than hair breathe away.

Adam's eyes scanned the crowd, his senses sharp, still faintly aware of the lingering trace of Moca's Monster Energy fading into the distance.

As he traversed the winding paths of New Hera Academy, weaving through clusters of students testing their gear or whispering about what the exam might show, a commotion broke his train of thought.

Raised voices cut through the hum of the crowd, sharp and heated. One voice was familiar to him. The other? Not so much, just some random student, by the sound of it.

Curiosity piqued, and Adam quickened his pace, rounding a corner near the combat yard where the noise was loudest.

There, in a small clearing surrounded by curious onlookers, two students faced off. The familiar one was a black-haired boy with striking neon blue eyes, his clear skin and sharp features making him stand out even in the standard New Hera uniform.

The uniform lacked the golden thread that marked nobility, signaling he was a commoner. His stance was relaxed but ready, his gaze locked on the other boy, who had a buzz-cut with hair dyed a deep hazel, and his eyes green, his own uniform adorned with the golden thread of a noble.

The noble's face was twisted in a sneer, his voice dripping with disdain.

"How dare a mere commoner like you talk back to me!"

The hazel-haired boy spat, jabbing a finger toward the other.

"You think you can just waltz in here and act like you belong at such esteem place as this."

The black-haired boy didn't flinch. His voice was steady, almost icy.

"You should apologize to Tia. Sexual harassment isn't a game, and it'll get you expelled faster than you can blink."

Adam's brow arched. Tia? The name rang a bell, another character from the HDXD visual novel, if he remembered correctly, although she was mostly one of the more unpopular heroines.

A spirited girl with a knack for getting into trouble.

If his memory serve right.

And the boy standing up for her? That had to be Xeres, the main character of the original story. Adam's lips curled into a faint smile. Of course Xeres would be here, already stirring things up.

The noble scoffed, stepping closer, his fists clenched.

"You think you can threaten me? Do you even know who I am?"

"I don't need to."

Xeres shot back, his neon blue eyes narrowing.

"I know what you did. Apologize, or I'll make sure everyone else knows, too."

The crowd murmured, unsure what to do, but then they all screech in fear when Adam suddenly show up a she said.

"And what seem's to be the problem here gentlemen?"
