Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1392: So you have chosen death?

Yu Dong also felt a bit uncomfortable. She did not know why but her gut sense told her that there was something wrong at home. However, when he saw the smile on Xiao Hua's face she did not bring anything up. Xiao Hua had been waiting for this for a long time and she did not want to ruin this trip for him.

The two of them rode the carriage for two hours and Xiao Hua who woke up early in the morning couldn't help but feel sleepy. He was someone who liked to wake up late in the mornings as he wanted to keep his face and skin as tender as possible.

However, he felt bad about Yu Dong who not only woke up early but even arranged everything. Thus he pushed himself to stay away but soon his eyes started to close and his head started to nod as if a chicken was pecking the rice.

Seeing this Yu Dong pulled his head on her lap. She was used to staying awake for days and her habits from the past life were yet to leave her body, but there was no need for Xiao Hua to suffer if he was not used to it.

As soon as his head hit something soft, Xiao Hua closed his eyes even firmly and fell asleep. His breathing lulled and he did not wake up until they arrived at the cemetery.

Yu Dong shook him awake lightly and said, "Hua'er, we are here. You need to wake up."

Xiao Hua opened his eyes, there was a haze covering his phoenix eyes as he opened them. He blinked a few times before raising his head and looking at Yu Dong whose face hovered over his.

"We are here?" Xiao Hua sat up straight and looked out from the window. It was indeed as Yu Dong told him. They were already at the graveyard, and seeing this he became a bit awkward. How long did he sleep on Yu Dong's leg what if her legs became numb because he stayed asleep on them for more than two hours? He said to Yu Dong, "You should have woken me up."

"It's alright. You seemed tired and we still need to do a lot," Yu Dong did not say much. Instead, she opened the door of the carriage that had been driven to the end of the graveyard.

Xiao Hua's parents were not influential people. What was more, when they died Xiao Hua hardly had any money in his hands. He just bought a small plot of land and buried his parents at the back of the graveyard where the poor who did not have much money were buried.

After earning some money as a courtesan, he arranged for a small tomb to be built for his parents later on. However, he did not move their graves as he did not wish to trouble them when they were at rest.

The tomb that Xiao Hua built was rather simple. It was made from black stone and was now covered with a little bit of dust and leaves. Usually, Xiao Hua came back to clean the graves every month but after the rogues started to attack the village and the towns, his visits dropped and he did not come to the graveyard for a month.

The dead were important but so were the living.

He could not put his life in danger and his daddy might not like it either.

"My daddy was even more beautiful than me, you know?" As Xiao Hua looked down at the two graves he couldn't help but sigh. "He often said that the only reason I wasn't as pretty as him was because he foolishly fell in love with my mother because she was nice to him."

When Xiao Hua spoke about his Daddy he seemed to be lost in the matters of the past and Yu Dong did not stop him. She calmly listened to him while looking at the graveyard, though it was old, it seemed like many people often came here.

Xiao Hua spoke for a long time. He told Yu Dong about the time when his daddy took him to see a play. Back then he was really naughty and ran into an official, that woman wanted to punish him but his daddy stood his ground. Not only did he send that official away, but he also made sure that no one would look down on his son just because he was the son of a small tavern owner.

"He was a wise mer," Xiao Hua sighed with a deep sigh. "He was the kind of mer who knew of things that were usually unknown to others. Sometimes he was even smarter than my mother."

Yu Dong did not say anything. Instead, she raised her hand and patted Xiao Hua on his head as she could see that he was on the verge of crying. She said to him, "Your daddy is always by your side, Hua'er."

Xiao Hua nodded. His daddy promised that he would stay next to him all his life when he was dying, though Xiao Hua did not show it on his face he missed his father every day. But because of this promise, he held his tears back and never cried.

"Let's clean the graves," Xiao Hua said to Yu Dong who agreed, the two of them crouched down and first dusted off the dirt that had accumulated over the graves before Yu Dong walked over to the small well and fished out a few buckets of water.

The water in the well was dangerously low and seeing this, Yu Dong sighed. The situation was indeed getting worse from bad, look at this people were down even taking water from the water that belonged graveyard.

She shook her head and walked back to where Xiao Hua was but as soon as she arrived behind Xiao Hua, she saw someone holding Xiao Hua's hands.
