Yu Dong narrowed her eyes as she walked forward. She did not say anything and only looked at the woman who was standing in front of Xiao Hua carefully.

"Who is she?" Yu Dong asked as she looked at Xiao Hua. She did not know who this woman but the way she was holding Xiao Hua did not seem proper at all!

Xiao Hua was also upset with the turn of events, he shook the woman's hands off him and then pulled his hands to his side. He did not expect that such a small trip would end up making him run into this person. He pursed his lips and looked at Yu Dong before confessing, "She is Li Xu. We used to have a childhood betrothal. But then my parents died and I was forced to work as a courtesan.

Honestly, it had been too many years since that incident happened. He even forgot about Li Xu as he saw her when he was twelve, back then this woman was standing behind his daddy who took back the engagement token and returned his.

Li Xu also looked up at Yu Dong. Honestly, she really did not expect to see Xiao Hua after such a long time. Her daddy told him that he would bring her a husband who was better and more beautiful than Xiao Hua. But as Li Xu grew up, his daddy focused on the background and the money a mer could bring with him.

Because of this, Li Xu married two mers both of them were flat-faced while the other one was stockier and really short. After giving birth to a daughter, her husbands let go of the worries in their hearts and thought that they had solidified their position so they hardly paid attention to their appearance.

With Li Xu working as the manager in a small restaurant, her salary was not low at all. She was able to bring a lot of food and money to her home which led her husbands to become even more lazy.

Thus, when she saw Xiao Hua, it was like looking at an ethereal fairy. He was so beautiful that Li Xu did not know what to do and ended up walking towards him.

She thought that if Xiao Hua was still alone, they might be able to rekindle their lost relationship. But now…

"She is…." though Li Xu had a feeling in her heart, she did not want to miss an opportunity due to misunderstanding.

"She is my fiancee," Xiao Hua did not want Li Xu to have any lingering feelings towards him. He did not know why she looked for him but he believed that Li Xu didn't look for him for anything good. "She and I came here to meet my daddy."

Li Xu's eyes widened. She looked at Yu Dong and her eyes could not help but tremble when she looked at the woman. Yu Dong's aura was way too strong!

"Meet your daddy? Then did she get all the things that your daddy wanted your fiancee to get for you?" Li Xu was once engaged with Xiao Hua, of course, she knew that Xiao Hua's Daddy had a small list that had multiple things written on it.

When she was still engaged to Xiao Hua, his daddy told her daddy many times that he would only let those marry his daughter who could fulfil the requirements on the list.

Back then, Li Xu and her daddy did not take it seriously and later on Father Xiao passed away. However, now that she was looking at Yu Dong, she couldn't help but bring up the list. Don't tell her that this woman was going to get married to Xiao Hua when she couldn't because of that stupid list.

"She did," Xiao Hua pointed to the two carriages behind the one in which he came and said with a hint of pride in tone, "She got her hands on everything, isn't she amazing."

Xiao Hua's voice was filled with pride but Li Xu was not smiling. She forced a smile on her lips and nodded, "Yeah, she is."

Earlier she thought that Xiao Hua was suffering but after looking at the two big carriages, she no longer thought so. Her daddy was a fool to think that Xiao Hua would suffer. With his beauty, he was able to get engaged to a woman who was richer than her and her family!

When she saw Yu Dong, Li Xu thought that the latter was in the same situation as her. If possible beneath her she was wearing simple clothes but now she understood that the only reason Yu Dong was in simple clothes was because she was here to pay respect to Xiao Hua's parents.

Suddenly Li Xu's mouth turned sore. When she thought about how this woman would one day marry Xiao Hua and take his virtue, Li Xu felt like countless ants were climbing on her heart.
