Gol D. Ace In Coiling Dragon

Chapter 293: Book 10: Part 12 – Ace Reveals His Willpower

Hearing Fu'Raz's recount was a lot to take in for Amira. On the one hand, she was happy to have learnt so much about her parents after so long, but on the other, after hearing the story, she found herself with just as many questions as she did at the beginning, and while Fu'Raz didn't seem to have any more answers for them, Druelle didn't seem to have any intention of speaking, despite clearly having more answers.

Unfortunately, before she or Ace got to ask anything else, Fu'Raz chuckled to himself as he took out his sword.

Seeing the confusion on everyone's face as they looked at him, Fu'Raz told them not to misunderstand. Although he didn't have much hatred with Ace or Amira directly, Larkel was a different story.

He had only ever suffered one loss in his entire life, and that was to Larkel. Larkel waltzed into his territory, publicly challenged him, and then defeated him. But then, to find out that Larkel didn't even bother to go all out…

It was the most humiliating experience of his life. Still, with the nature of Larkel's Visual Manifestation, getting revenge when he was alive was impossible, let alone now that he was dead. As such, he'd have to settle for sending his only daughter to the afterlife to see him.

Hearing that, Ace's eyes frosted over. Paragon or not, he'd die before he let any harm come to his beloved wife.

Ace's eyes never left Fu'Raz's as he asked Amira if she was alright to handle Druelle.

As shocked as she was by everything she had found out, Amira wasn't one to allow her feelings to cloud her judgment. Plus, she still had questions for Druelle about her parents.

She didn't respond to Ace with words, but sensing her activate both her Viz and Gol bloodlines in full was all the response he needed, especially as their souls fused, giving both husband and wife a significant boost in power.

Hearing Ace's words and sensing the way Amira stared at her – as though she was mere prey – Druelle understood that Amira really intended to face her alone.

If she had to fight both Ace and Amira together, she admitted that not even she felt confident in her odds at success, especially with the revelation that both had apparently been holding back the last time she saw them, but whether it was Ace or Amira, she didn't believe either of them were her match alone, fused soul or not.

It had to be understood that if her comprehension of the six-way fusion of the profound mysteries of darkness were to be made into a percentage, then she would have comprehended 99%.

Still, the thing that made her so dangerous was the fact that she had two Sovereign Artifacts. One was a soul-protecting ring she wore on her wedding ring finger, and the other was the darkness-type full-body armour which suddenly manifested around her body.

If there was one thing she was confident in, it was her survivability. Aside from throwing her body into chaotic space, the only way to defeat her in what was effectively a tortoise shell was through the repeated use of material attacks with the power of at least a paragon.

Although attacks of that level would do next to no damage to her Sovereign armour, the impact would still be enough to damage her body on the inside. Doing it enough would be more than enough to turn her body into mush.

As for her weapon, although it wasn't a Sovereign Artifact, it was a sword she had personally nourished for over a million years that had also been nourished by her husband's Willpower. It may be inferior to a Sovereign Artifact, but it was far superior to any ordinary High God Artifact.

It could be said that her confidence in her ability was more than justified; still, the moment Amira moved, Druelle's eyes constricted as she found the blade of one of Amira's swords by her neck before she could even react.

At the same time, Fu'Raz smiled casually as he watched Amira suppress Druelle, who couldn't even react to the beautiful flurry of attacks being unleashed on her.

The more he watched, the more he had to admit that Amira really was the child of Larkel and Cecelia.

Even though the ability of her Visual Manifestation wasn't as heaven-defying as Larkel's, nor was it as impressive as the abilities granted to Cecelia by her Angel Bloodline, Fu'Raz better than most understood that, unlike the innate abilities of other bloodlines, which would grow stronger in proportion every time they broke into a higher cultivation realm, the Visual Manifestation was one that would evolve, growing in quantity and quality with each and every breakthrough in realm.

It was for that reason that the Vis Clan's Visual Manifestation was dubbed as the most heaven-defying bloodline in existence.

For Amira's bloodline to be so powerful now as a Full God, he could only imagine the monster she'd become when she broke through to become a High God. Hers may very well surpass that monstrous father of hers. In which case, the moment she became a High God, she would even surpass him. And that was a future he wasn't willing to let come to fruition.

Still, that wasn't something he'd have to worry about anymore. But before that, he would have to deal with this mysterious husband of hers.

He knew next to nothing about him or the full extent of his bloodline, but for the simple fact that they were soulmates, his bloodline could be no worse than hers, and mainly out of curiosity, he wanted to see exactly what he was capable of.

Still, Ace wasn't in a rush to reveal his Willpower. At first, he only utilised [Armament & Observation] Haki with his Visual Manifestation and Concept infused [Blazing Glaive Art]. Still, between that and the boost from his fused soul, he was on a level that far surpassed an expert like Druelle.

Whether it was speed or raw power, despite only being a Full God, it was infinitely close to the power of a paragon, albeit one not using their Willpower. Still, that was a shocking feat in and of itself.

Still, there were two things that took Fu'Raz by surprise. The first was his weapon. It was only when their weapons first clashed, and Ace's didn't shatter on impact, that Fu'Raz noticed the true quality of Ace's Glaive.

It had to be remembered that Fu'Raz's sword was a Sovereign Artifact. Any ordinary High God Artifact would've long since shattered, but Ace's was perfectly fine.

It was obvious from the energy it was radiating that it was a mere Full God artifact. A fact that had shocked many in the past, but Fu'Raz had several million years worth of experience; he had seen all sorts of weapons and experts.

As such, he instantly recognised that Ace's weapon was a Godspark weapon, but that in and of itself led to more questions as the only person capable of creating a Godspark Artifact was Beirut, who, to the vast majority of non-sovereign level beings believed Beirut to be a High God level Apex Divine Beast, who, thanks to his innate and Divine Abilities, could just about hold his own even against Paragons.

When Fu'Raz asked Ace how he knew Beirut, Ace merely smirked and told him to figure it out himself.

Upon realising that Ace had no intention of telling him, Fu'Raz put it to the back of his mind.

The fact that Beirut, a ruthless expert who stood near the apex of deities, created Ace, a Godspark weapon, was enough to show the unusual relationship the two must've had. For most deities, that would be enough for them to show mercy, but as a paragon, Fu'Raz cared little for any deity that wasn't a paragon, even Apex Divine Beasts like Beirut.

The second thing that took Fu'Raz by surprise was Ace's incredible display of Glaivesmanship.

As the head of the Knowledge Seeking Corporation, he had long heard the reports of Ace's attainments in the way of the Glaive. Still, hearing was one thing, but seeing was something else entirely.

And with his Will-infused Godrealm, although he couldn't see through it in its entirety, Fu'Raz could still sense there was a lot more to it than meets the eye. A fact that caused his eyes to light up with greed.

Fu'Raz knocked Ace away with a Willpower-infused strike, and although it was a casual attack for the paragon, it was more than enough to send Ace crashing into the walls of the barrier.

Fu'Raz clapped and told Ace that if he agreed to serve him and tell him the secrets of his Glaivesmanship, he would let his wife go.

In response, Ace told him to kiss his arse.

Hearing that, Fu'Raz decided he would beat Ace to within an inch of his life before using his incredible attainments in the ways of the soul to scour Ace's mind and figure it out for himself.

As such, infusing his Willpower into his spiritual essence, Fu'Raz used one of his soul attacks to attack Ace's soul.

Ace sensed the overwhelming power of the attack, but he didn't even bat an eyelid as he used his own spiritual attack to meet it head-on.

Druelle, who was splitting a small part of her attention to check on Fu'Raz's battle, sneered at Ace's response, but Fu'Raz, on the other hand, displayed an expression of sheer shock!

Druelle couldn't sense it, but as a paragon, he could clearly sense that Ace's spiritual attack, like his, was infused with the power of Will.
