Chapter 292: Book 10: Part 11 – The History of Larkel and Cecelia Viz
Fu'Raz, though, didn't seem to care about Druelle's reaction as he continued to study Amira and continued his line of deductions, noting that if he was right about being the child of Cecelia and Larkel, her having such a heaven-defying Visual Manifestation which not only increased her physical abilities, spiritual essence, and natural affinities but also made her a soul mutate, made sense.
It was then that Fu'Raz grinned and turned his attention to Ace, noting that if Ace and Amira were really husband and wife, and Amira was truly the descendant of the now fallen Viz clan, the only way Ace would also be able to use the Divine Ability of the Viz clan would be if Ace and Amira weren't merely husband and wife, but also soulmates just like Cecelia and Larkel were rumoured to be.
Looking at Ace's [Haki] infused skin, Fu'Raz grinned fiendishly as he said for them to be soulmates would mean that Ace's bloodline should be no less heaven-defying than Amira's, which would also mean that as impressive as it was, Ace being able to strengthen his body so it was as strong as a Full God Artifact was just the beginning.
After finally finding someone who knew something about her parents, Amira's mood could be understood.
Even without their connection as soulmates, it would be impossible for Ace not to notice Amira's turbulent emotions. As her husband, he felt it his responsibility to find the truth, especially when she wasn't in the right frame of mind to do so herself.
Rubbing her back to soothe her emotions, Ace politely asked Fu'Raz what he knew about Amira's parents and what happened to the Viz Clan.
In response, Fu'Raz laughed and said they were asking the wrong person, clearly hinting that the person they should be directing their questions at was Druelle Boleyn.
Unfortunately, it appeared that Druelle, who had only just gotten over the shock of Amira's identity, had no intention of saying anything. Thankfully, Fu'Raz cared little for the woman's feelings.
He merely laughed before explaining that almost a million years ago, just after Amira's grandfather, Braulon Viz, had carved out a small place for himself and his clan in the Divine Plane of Darkness, his son, Amira's father – Larkel Viz – who had just become a High God of the Edict of Destruction ventured out on his own to make a name for himself.
Because he was an expert of an Edict, he couldn't follow the path of a Supreme Genius, but that didn't mean he wasn't just as much of a genius. In fact, of all the experts Fu'Raz had ever met, Larkel was without a doubt the most talented.
Forget the fact that he had become a High God in under 100 years; just his Visual Manifestation made him invincible among his peers.
He explained that the Vis Clan's Visual Manifestation was one that improved in overall quality with each breakthrough after awakening it, meaning that when Amira and Ace became High Gods in the future, their respective Manifestations would continue to improve. Still, even Amira's whose was heaven defying enough as it was, may not reach the levels of her fathers.
He explained that Larkel's Manifestation boosted the power of his Destruction Energy tenfold as though it were the product of a mutated soul.
It was for that reason that upon entering the Celestial Realm, Larkel quickly made a name for himself. He was practically invincible under the paragon realm.
Fu'Raz explained that as he was yet to achieve his breakthrough to the Paragon level at the time, not even he was a match for Larkel.
It was during his time creating his invincible legend that he met and defeated several supreme geniuses, including Druelle here, and her husband. Both were following the path of a supreme genius; Ballmer, in particular, was only a step away from the paragon level.
Still, even together, Ballmer and Druelle found themselves easily trounced by Larkel. It was likely Larkel's peerless display that caused Druelle to fall in love with Larkel, much to her – at the time – travelling companion, Ballmer's displeasure.
Druelle was clearly displeased with Fu'Raz recounting events so candidly, but in front of a paragon who could kill her with a thought, she didn't dare to say anything.
Fu'Raz ignored Druelle's displeasure as he continued his tale. Unfortunately, as infatuated with Larkel as Druelle was, she was unable to enter his sight. He was more focused on honing his ability against all the Celestial Realm's top powerhouses.
Larkel quickly became the stain of the Celestial Realm. A member of the Divine Plane of Darkness stepping on the heads of all the Celestial Realm's leading experts with none able to do anything…
For a long time, it looked like Larkel would retain his title as invincible. But then, a certain young woman, only a couple of thousand years old, rose to prominence.
Cecelia, a naturally born angel, who was also the personal disciple of Verano. The Celestial Realm's most ancient and mysterious expert.
Verano was rumoured to be a paragon, but because it had been too long since he was last forced to take action, it was unable to be confirmed. What everyone did know was that Verano was the only expert in the Celestial Realm to gain the acknowledgement and, by extension, the friendship of Lord Orloff – The Chief Sovereign of Fate.
Cecilia was raised and personally trained by Verano, so it should come as no surprise that she was a follower of the supreme genius path.
By the time she ventured out of Verano's care to explore by herself, despite only being a couple thousand years old, she had already begun fusing all six profound mysteries of the laws of light. Between that and her angel bloodline, which not only drastically improved her speed and boosted her light-based Divine Power tenfold as though she was a soul-mutate but also made her all but immune to light-based divine energy not infused with Willpower, Cecelia proved to be a true peerless genius.
Both Cecelia and Verano travelled through the Celestial realm, creating a name for themselves by trouncing well-known commander-level experts one after the next.
Eventually, though, the two would have to meet so they could decide who was the true number one expert beneath the paragon level, and it had the whole of the Celestial Realm sat on the edge of their seats, even sovereigns.
It got to the point that Lord Orloff decided to hold a never-before-seen event. He hosted a tournament on his private island and made it so that the whole of the Celestial Realm would be able to witness it.
To enter, though, one must be at the Commander level and be under 100,000 years old. Basically, only the most powerful of supreme geniuses could enter.
Including Cecelia and Larkel, there were only 16 such experts in the Celestial Realm, and as you can imagine, Cecelia went through the competition easily, defeating everyone who stood in their way until they eventually met in the final.
On the day they both met, though, against all odds, instead of erupting into the battle of an era, the two seemed to fall in love at first sight. That's not to say that the battle didn't happen; it's just that instead of a battle against two equal opponents, it looked more like a dance between two heaven-blessed lovers.
Even Fu'Raz had to admit that it was the most beautiful display they had ever seen.
Still, Larkel and Cecelia didn't care about the reaction of others; they were too engrossed in their "battle", the most incredible part, though, was that as they continued their battle, both entered into a state of sudden enlightenment.
By the time they awoke, the comprehension of both was only a step away from the paragon level, making them all the more terrifying.
Still, neither were in any mood to continue fighting. They were about to leave hand in hand when several sovereigns, who had been watching, descended.
Each wanted to take both Larkel and Cecelia as their emissaries. Unfortunately for them, both Cecelia and Larkel rejected them, not wanting to serve anyone.
Although neither was a paragon, they were still afforded the same privileges as one, meaning their decision was respected. Or at least it was by most.
There was one Sovereign who took an almost unhealthy interest in Larkel. I don't know the reasons behind it, but the Chief Sovereign of Darkness was unwilling to take no for an answer.
Still, Larkel stayed firm. Until the Chief Sovereign of Darkness' the only paragon-level subordinate at the time, threatened the safety of his entire clan unless he accepted his master's proposal.
Many of those watching felt that the Chief Sovereign of Darkness and his emissary were being a little too overbearing, but since the Chief Sovereign of Darkness wasn't the one personally acting to suppress Larkel, none of the other sovereigns intervened and as for the High Gods present, though they also disagreed, in front of a paragon, none dared say anything. Well, none except Verano.
Cecelia, worried about her new "friend", asked her master to step in. Still, Verano was never the violent type. As a result, the most he could do was get Unilae to take a small step back.
In the end, Unilae proposed a small wager. As long as Larkel could take one of Unilae's full-powered attacks, he promised not to let Larkel's disrespect to his master go.
Many thought it was still unfair, but Larkel readily agreed.
It was then that everyone saw and understood that Larkel had been holding back this entire time and how heaven-defying his Visual Manifestation really was.
As well as increasing the might of his Destruction Divine Energy, his Manifestation also gave him the ability to use Sovereign power. And it wasn't like your average Sovereign's might; it was as though he had become what could only be described as a false Sovereign.
As the attacks of Unilae and Larkel met, Unilae was easily defeated and was beaten within an inch of his life.
Still, seeing Larkel use Sovereign power as a High God lit a fire of greed in many of the other Sovereigns who more than likely wanted to experiment on him to see if his body potentially held the secrets to making further breakthroughs.
Unfortunately, just as the others were prepared to act against Larkel, he took out a medallion belonging to the Chief Sovereign of Light, causing the Chief Sovereign of Light's energy projection to appear.
Unfortunately, because the discussions of Sovereigns were kept private, I don't know exactly what was said. All I do know Is that after that, Larkel and Cecilia were allowed to leave.
Fu'Raz's understanding of subsequent events was limited at best. He knew they went to the Divine Light Plane after that, and at some point whilst there, the Divine Plane of Light were able to create a formula, presumably based on Cecilia, to create their own angels. As for the specifics, he had no idea.
The next thing he heard about either them or the Vis Clan was that they were all massacred. Still, he didn't know any specifics.
Still, even though he didn't know any more, he was pretty sure Druelle did. After all, at some point after Cecelia and Larkel left for the Divine Light Plane, Druelle and her husband became the emissaries of the Chief Sovereign of Darkness.
