"Damn it! DAMN IT ALL!" Raiden screamed in anger after discovering the ship destroyed and abandoned.
"You piece of shit better be useful," said Raiden as he turned back to the ship he stole from the Citadel base he raided.
"Whoever has Kori and Cary couldn't have gone too far away," Raiden mused as he started the Citadel ship.
*TSHHH*
The ship's communication channel activated, and a voice was heard, "All Units Over, We have captured Princess Koriand'r. The S-S Blackfire will go back to Tamaran," spoke the voice on the communication channel.
"S-S Blackfire, huh? That's good. At least I know what ship I'm looking for. Computer, locate S-S Blackfire," Raiden ordered.
"Locating Mother Ship, S-S Blackfire. Ship located. Would you like to return back to the mother ship?" replied the computer.
"I see. So it was this ship's mother ship. This is why I got the notice. Alright, computer, set destination to the mother ship," said Raiden.
"Destination set. Estimated time: 2 HOURS."
Raiden allowed the computer pilot to take over the ship as he went to lie down.
"System, is there any way for me to recover faster?" said Raiden, his body mostly broken, tired, and exhausted.
{Negative, Host lost the premium recovery feature provided to him by the System; passing out.}
"I wouldn't call that a 'premium feature,' but seriously, is there no other way to recover my energy?"
{Negative, Host must simply bide his time.}
"Damn it all," said Raiden as he relaxed his eyes.
"I'll sleep a bit. Maybe that will recover enough energy."
...
"CANCEL IT NOW!" spoke Blackfire as she addressed a high councilman.
"IMPOSSIBLE! ARE YOU CRAZY? Just because we granted you some liberties doesn't mean you get to order me AROUND! Have you lost your mind? Do you know who you're speaking to?" spoke the High Councilman, Kal Mora.
"It seems you are the one who has lost his mind! I was granted Tamaran officially by voting from ALL the high councilmen! Any and all matters related to Tamaran are to go through me! So I'm telling you, right here and now, cancel my sister's bounty!" spoke Blackfire.
"DAMN YOU! Do you not understand! Raiden Kagawa has destroyed half of the Karna Storage Facility! He is now a threat to the Citadel; he needs to be eliminated!" spoke Kal Mora.
"What! What about Lobo? Did he not kill him?" spoke Blackfire.
"No, he managed to repel Lobo for now, but it won't matter. Lobo is relentless; he'll kill him!" spoke Kal Mora.
"And he'll kill my sister with him, damn it! I don't want her dead like this! It must be done by my hand in Tamaran while facing the people! That way, Tamaran will fall completely," spoke Blackfire.
"Just cancel this bounty and release another one with the target being only that damned human."
"You're still new to this world, damn you! Do you know who we're talking about? It's fucking Lobo. If we take out Koriand'r and only leave Raiden Kagawa on the bounty, he'll rage and come for our heads. He'll take it as an insult, and trust me, you DO NOT want Lobo after your head," spoke Kal Mora.
"Then cancel it completely! If you want Tamaran, then we must take it this way," said Blackfire.
"Fine, DAMN IT! Fine, I'll cancel the bounty."
...
"Estimated arrival time, 5 minutes," spoke the ship's navigation system.
Hearing that, Raiden prepared himself for infiltration. He was first going to use his stealth mode to infiltrate the mother ship, but he decided against it. They might have already prepared for him using body heat scanners. Instead, he went with a new spell.
"The timing of this will be short, but it should be enough to get me through," said Raiden as he prepared his spell.
"ekam em kool ekil a nainrak," said Raiden. His appearance shifted; he now looked like a full-blown Karnian. It was a random face he picked up when he was on Karna. He then turned into the ship's locker rooms. Since this was a Citadel ship, he found multiple Citadel soldiers' clothes.
Wearing them, his preparation was now sufficient.
"Alright, we're good. Computer, dock inside the mother ship," said Raiden.
"Preparing to land," spoke the ship navigation system.
The ship quickly docked inside the mother ship. Raiden got off to find someone waiting for him. The person looked important, surrounded by four other soldiers wearing the same clothes as Raiden. Seeing that, Raiden realized he might be a high-ranking officer.
He quickly left the ship and went directly to the high-ranking officer. Raiden lifted his hand to his forehead, saluting the man.
"Welcome back, soldier. Name your squad," spoke the officer.
"Squad Four, sir," said Raiden, maintaining his vigilance and his disguise.
"Squad four? Weren't you dispatched to take out Raiden Kagawa and give support to the bounty hunter Lobo?" questioned the officer.
"Yes, sir. Unfortunately, sir, we failed. My entire squad and many others have been wiped out. I alone managed to survive; I barely made it back," spoke Raiden.
"Hmmm, so you're merely a failure? You ran away as your brethren fought to death?" spoke the officer in a not-so-pleasant tone.
"No, sir! I just had to make it back to report on the situation!" spoke Raiden in a panic.
"Unacceptable. The Citadel doesn't need pathetic deserters as soldiers. You are hereby stripped of your rank and any achievement. Soldiers! Restrain this pathetic man and throw him in the cell, NOW," spoke the officer as he backed away from Raiden to allow the soldiers to restrain him.
Raiden's thoughts raced. He was thinking of multiple ways to take out everyone in the vicinity quietly. But he realized it wasn't possible without alerting the entire mother ship. Due to his energy being extremely low, he knew he couldn't transform into any servant now. However, another thought passed his mind.
'They're taking me to the cells… Probably close to where they're keeping Kori hostage. I should just allow them to take me in.'
Raiden stayed quiet as the soldiers pushed him around and dragged him to the cells.
...
"Lock the bastard in here, with the child," said the officer as he left the cells back to his duty.
Raiden waited for the soldiers to leave before he turned to the child, Cary.
"Hey Cary," said Raiden.
"Don't talk TO ME," said Cary in a fierce tone.
"Hmm, I like that. You're learning. Never trust strangers," said Raiden as he added. "I can't lie though; I'm a little hurt that you don't recognize me, even if I'm in a disguise."
"I said don't... Wait, Disguise, RAIDEN!!!" spoke Cary
in utter happiness.
"Well, took you long enough," said Raiden. Then he added, "But keep it on a hush, okay? Now tell me, where did they take Kori?"
"They took her to a different cell, not too far from here! It was her sister, Raiden! Her name is Blackfire, and she is keeping sister Kori a hostage! She said she will execute her on Tamaran, in front of the people! We can't allow that!" spoke Cary.
"I see. Then come with me, show me the way. Stay behind me, though," said Raiden.
"Of course! But Raiden, something's wrong with me," said Cary. As she continued to add, "Ever since I fought that woman, I haven't been able to use my magic. I think she might have done something to me, or maybe it's the ship."
"Hmm, I don't think it's the ship since I'm already using magic to disguise myself," said Raiden. He then turned to the bars in front of him, using enhancing magic to strengthen his hands and bent the bars of the cell open.
"I don't think it's the cell either. Don't worry about it, Cary. I'll help you realize what the problem is later. For now, let's go get Kori."
