Chapter 1347: Perplexing Actions
The cold moon hung in the sky, and blades rushing swiftly forth mirrored fierce and twisted grim faces.
Accompanied by the fracture of the defensive barrier, at the very moment the countless heavy chains frantically contracted and were about to restrain Hill, a sharp, silent purple light suddenly surged forth in the forest.
Wherever the purple light, filled with frenzied energy, reached, it shimmered so intensely that the formidable trolls found it difficult to keep their eyes open, making their movements considerably sluggish.
Once the purple light faded, the trolls were surprised to note.
Not only had all the magic iron chains, binding Hill, vanished, but a robust and tall figure stood before Hill.
This was a young human male dressed in deep leather armor, holding a longsword in one hand and a magic wand in the other. Despite his peculiar appearance, he exuded an imposing aura, shocking even the troll captain.
"It's you!"
Seeing the savior's face, Hill's starry eyes flickered with disbelief and awe.
No need for words; standing before Hill, his rescuer, was naturally Leo Ray.
Leo Ray appeared here because shortly after leaving Radiant City, he learned of the imminent night maneuvers by the four forces, and thus came personally to evaluate the situation.
"Just something to fill the gaps between the teeth, come one and die, come a hundred and die too!"
The troll captain's eyes quickly turned from surprise to ferocity, immediately turning into a blue beam with other formidable trolls, rushing towards Leo Ray and Hill.
Facing the opponent's lethal swift assault, Leo Ray remained calm, nodding slightly to Hill and saying, "Don't worry, you're already safe."
As Leo Ray's words fell, the formidable trolls close to Leo Ray and Hill suddenly felt a surge of chill around them. Before they could react, they were shocked to find their body surfaces rapidly freezing and becoming rigid, soon turning into ice sculptures, with their fierce faces still retaining fear and despair.
"Blood for blood."
Leo Ray snapped his fingers lightly, and the crisp sound of breaking ice followed, causing these formidable trolls to shatter into pieces, turning into a ground of fragmented ice.
As the ice fell to the ground, an old mage in a blue robe emerged from beside Leo Ray, none other than Elder Bing, with hair and beard entirely blue.
With Elder Bing's Tier 6, three-star strength, dealing with these Tier 5 trolls was naturally easy.
However, there was still one opponent left, the troll captain, whose face, covered by a thick layer of ice, no longer held the wanton attitude from before, leaving only terror-filled eyes darting around frantically.
"Gideon Black, Dazhuang, see if you can obtain any useful intelligence from him."
Leo Ray gestured, and two robust burly men swiftly approached, stopping beside the troll captain.
Accompanied by wave after wave of deep energy fluctuations, the troll captain's gaze quickly transformed from terror to despair, eventually becoming vacant.
"Lord, this guy is just the scout captain from the Bone Erosion Tribe of the trolls, his knowledge is limited to 'that thing' and he lacks specific information."
Gideon Black placed a fist on his chest, reported to Leo Ray.
"Understood."
Upon hearing this, Leo Ray nodded to Elder Bing.
The crisp sound of ice breaking resounded again, turning the troll captain into a ground of shards.
"Thank Your Majesty for saving my life!"
Seeing this scene, Hill's face still bore a pale hue as he attempted to bow but was stopped by Leo Ray.
"It's what I should do."
Leo Ray slightly nodded, then began directing other subordinates, "Restore this place to its original state as much as possible, erase all traces."
As soon as Leo Ray finished speaking, Grey Elder and Yonir flew over simultaneously, nodding to him, "Reporting to Your Majesty, all other troll scouts responsible for surveillance around have been cleared out."
"Well done, after removing all traces, we will leave immediately."
Leo Ray nodded to the two elder masters, then handed Hill over to Grey Elder's care.
Seeing Leo Ray had saved his great-granddaughter, Grey Elder's gratitude was indescribable, joining in the actions as well. In a blink, the forest which was a bloodthirsty battlefield now returned to its normal state.
"Lord, all is complete."
Taylor placed a fist on his chest, reporting to Leo Ray.
"Let's go."
Leo Ray nodded lightly, and the group sped off and quickly vanished into the forest.
At the same time Leo Ray and his group departed, the gates of Dragon Armor City opened, and the immense army of Dragonborn marched out from the city gate, their overwhelming majestic aura spreading far and wide.
Upon Leo Ray and his group's return to the vicinity of Ice Stone City, when the massive city reappeared, they had already arrived in an area resembling a town-sized teleportation station.
As the gates of Ice Stone City opened, Leo Ray and his group's figures appeared. Waiting there were Crisis, Broy, and Shuert, who immediately came forward.
The moonlight shone on everyone's faces, each filled with a tense and solemn look hard to conceal.
"Your Majesty of the Humans, the Minotaur army monitored by the treants has already marched and is heading straight for the nearest Gleaming Rift Valley pass, apparently intending to cross the Giant Valley."
Shuert was the first to step forward, his wooden, statue-like old face full of seriousness.
