Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong

Chapter 1346: Moonlit Forest (Part 2)

"Then I shall humbly accept."

Leo Ray didn't refuse, directly storing it into his Space Bracelet.

After putting away the Flower Fairy Slate, Leo Ray continued forward under Feier's guidance, soon stopping in front of an oddly shaped metal goblet.

This metal goblet was entirely silver, designed in the shape of a lifelike dragon head, appearing extremely unique. But its owner was obvious; after all, a real dragon would not use utensils suited to the Human Clan, and Leo Ray had never seen such peculiar implements in the Human Domain.

"Just as His Majesty sees, this is indeed a goblet from the Dragonborn."

Feier's starry eyes were distant, clearly recalling the origin of the item before her: "This was given to me by a Dragonborn Chosen Son of God to thank me for saving his life. Back then, he almost lost his life due to a failed advancement to demigod, but I casually offered a precious Magic Medicine and saved him."

"According to him, this is also a very precious item among the Dragon Clan, though I wasn't particularly interested at the time and just tossed it here, as saving him was merely a trifling effort."

After speaking, Feier waved her hand again, and the goblet was instantly rejuvenated.

"As expected of Princess your Highness."

Leo Ray smiled lightly, glancing once again at the Attribute Column, finding nothing different from before, which he had become accustomed to.

"Since the prompting voice has confirmed it as the voice of some deity, the Lord Interface must also be the work of a deity. Who exactly designed '???', requiring me to know its specific function before revealing its name or further details?"

"However, it shouldn't be difficult to learn these things; just finding the Flower Fairy and Dragonborn will suffice, and I can judge the truth of their words through the revealed attributes, given the attributes created by a deity can't be wrong."

While thinking this, Leo Ray pocketed the goblet as well.

Having completed everything, Leo Ray nodded to Feier, thanking her: "Thank you for your help, Princess your Highness."

"No need to thank me, Your Majesty. For me, these are just simple collectibles. If they can assist Your Majesty and aid the Human Clan, that would be wonderful."

Feier smiled faintly, waving her hand slightly: "These are what I ought to do."

After saying this, a hint of desolation flashed across Feier's eyes. Though she said no more, the meaning was clear. After all, the glory of the Silver Fire Kingdom no longer existed, and the Era of Blankness had erased too much.

"Rest assured, Princess your Highness, I will find a suitable vessel soon to free you from Radiant City, to fight alongside me for the Human Clan, and witness the rise of humans."

Leo Ray's gaze was resolute, and he added: "I believe that day is not far off."

...

Under two full moons, on the edge of a dense forest north of the Gleaming Giant Valley, a group of black-clad Human Clan experts scattered, cloaked in invisibility, like merging into the air, unmoving as they watched a massive city in the distance, the Dragonborn fortress Dragon Armor City.

From the bow and moon emblems on these Human Clan experts' chests, they were clearly part of Leo Ray's direct scouting force, the Hunter's Moon Mercenary Group.

Accompanied by the sound of rustling leaves, an agile Hunter's Moon mercenary descended from the sky, whispering to another slender figure in black: "Captain, smoke is rising all over Dragon Armor City, which is unusual for the Dragonborn; it seems their Grand Army is about to move out!"

"I've already sent the message back. Not only is there smoke rising throughout the city, but the energy fluctuations in Dragon Armor City have significantly increased. Even with multiple Defensive Barriers and Silence Barriers in place, it's evident from the Commander's morale-boosting efforts that this is a prelude to mobilization."

The slender figure nodded slightly, the silver moonlight filtering through the leaves illuminating her face, revealing a delicate rose-colored mask, none other than Hill, the Hunter's Moon Mercenary Leader.

With a solemn expression, Hill said again: "We've been here for ten minutes; it's not safe to linger. Let's change positions and continue..."

However, before Hill could finish her sentence, the sharp sound of arrows slicing through the air was heard.

"Ambush!"

Hill's expression turned serious, her short blade tracing a silver arc as she deflected the oncoming arrow.

However, the mercenary before her was caught off guard, pierced through the head by another arrow, falling straight to the ground.

This all happened in a flash. Before Hill could shout the words "enemy attack," a group of unknown figures emerged from the darkness, standing behind the other mercenaries, their blades gleaming with deadly cold light.

As streaks of cold light flickered across throats, the helpless mercenaries fell one by one, blood quickly spreading across the ground.

In Hill's startled starry eyes, reflected robust figures emerged, these abrupt assassins towering at least 2.5 meters, their bizarre blue skin stark under the moonlight. Even draped in hooded caps, their slender blue ears and sharp fangs instilled terror.

"Trolls!"

In despair, Hill gripped her blade tightly, sweat beginning to trickle down her fair forehead.

The number of these formidable trolls exceeded ten, each exuding immense presence, clearly at the Tier 5 Level, with the leader's strength matching Hill's Tier 5 peak.

In this scenario, given the opponent's disciplined formation and ruthless tactics, any random move by Hill would likely result in being torn to shreds.

"Humans? I never expected pests to appear here; such a surprise came abruptly. It seems the Clan Leader's decision to send us as scouts had some benefits."

A voice dripping with disdain rang out, as the leading troll captain pulled back his hood, revealing a hideous, twisted blue face, frightful with its fanged features.

His eyes took stock of Hill before he licked his bluish-white lips and said: "Tell me, just ants from a cornered domain, what are you doing here? Do you also hope to meddle with that thing? Truly don't know your place!"

"That thing?"

Even surrounded by enemies, Hill keenly picked up on the information inadvertently revealed, frowning as she asked: "We're just passing mercenaries, what do you mean by 'that thing'?"

"Faced with death and still trying to extract information from me, truly clueless."

Seeing Hill was a challenging source of information, the troll captain's patience was clearly exhausted as he waved his hand: "Kill her! Even a corpse can provide useful intelligence for the tribe's sorcerer!"

As the troll captain's directive concluded, the formidable trolls instantly became phantoms, smirking as they charged toward Hill.

Not hesitating, Hill who had discreetly tucked a Magic Scroll into her sleeve during the earlier exchange, immediately activated it, a small Absolute Defense Barrier forming thereafter, causing the fierce onslaught to collide harmlessly against the barrier.

In the moments while the barrier held, Hill clenched her teeth, attempting to break through the encirclement, yet it was no use; the enemy's formation was impermeable, unaffected by even minor disruptions.

"Humans, let's see how long you can endure!"

The troll captain too activated a dark aura-enshrouded Magic Scroll, countless chains shimmering with eerie light swiftly binding Hill's Absolute Defense Barrier tightly, continuously contracting inwardly. Disturbingly, Hill realized the glow of her Magic Scroll dimmed, evidently disrupted, preventing immediate activation.

This certainly signified that once the defense barrier's duration concluded, her fate would be sealed.

Sure enough, with the shattering sound akin to breaking glass, the barrier splintered, in the pale moonlight, reflecting Hill's helpless eyes.
