Chapter 160: Loot Everything
With Leonard's order made clear, Mirelle wasted no time and rushed upstairs.
Elise wanted to join and assist her, but she was halted by Leonard.
"You going there is just redundant." He calmly said. Mirelle herself was enough to deal with a bunch of heartless people who viewed a tragedy as a good thing to take breaks.
It would have been fine if they were also helpless and incapable of helping.
However, when he first entered the Melodious Bar, he could discern that there weren't weaklings. Moreover, with the vast space inside the bar, they still refused to open the door to rescue others who were killed outside.
With both room and capability yet remaining, hands off meant they didn't deserve any mercy.
"Bring your little sister over to begin the extraction," Leonard commanded.
"Yes, Master." Elise obliged the order and told Nadia to sit down.
Although confused by the ordeal, Nadia trusted her eldest sister and sat down in a lotus position.
"Bear with the pain, little sister," Elise warned gently.
'Bear with the pain?' Nadia raised an eyebrow. She was about to ask what kind of pain she meant until Leonard already made a move.
Almost immediately, her pupils constricted as she spat out a mouthful of blood toward the ground.
Szzzz!
Needless to say, a sizzling sound was made, granted that the blood held traces of the poison dwelling inside her body.
It was at this moment that Nadia finally understood why her elder sister told her to bear with the pain.
Shit truly hurt like a bitch!
Nadia gnashed her teeth, trying her best to endure the excruciating pain.
"Your eldest sister endured it and managed to become free of the poison. If you really cannot endure, then continue your fate as a plaything for the other Death Guards." Leonard's cold voice reverberated through her ears.
'Become a plaything?' Nadia's emotions quickly became agitated. She refused to become a plaything and be subjected to such treatment again.
'To hell with it!' She roared internally and began following Elise's instruction to gather her mana into a single space for Leonard to expel them with his own set of mana.
Seeing Nadia's pained expression, Elise's hatred toward Marquis Darius and the entirety of the Noble Faction increased. She had been by his side for a few days, so she was graced with all the wickedness that these so-called high nobles discussed.
They all didn't deserve any sort of nobility with their greed, corruption, and blatant disregard for human lives!
'As long as I join the Crown Prince's rank through Vincent, I can convince them to take action.' Elise was banking on the fact that the Crown Prince must have wanted to take control of Velastra.
Although Velastra was secretly filled with many filths, one must admit that it was still a money hub with its free trade city format.
The annual revenue of Velastra was enough to put the Aldros Empire's capital to shame if all the taxes were collected as it was.
Such a juicy piece of meat was something everyone coveted.
Even if the Crown Prince was high in status, he still required a lot of funds to train and nurture his people.
After all, one can't simply rise with just a "title" alone.
That was, unless you were the emperor, in which case you could easily decide a person's life and death with a single sentence.
Sometime later, the extraction process was done.
Nadia coughed up one last mouthful of blood before she collapsed to the ground, her face flushed in redness, her body drenched in sweat. Due to her clothes, the sweat vividly outlined her figure.
When Leonard saw the situation, his only thought process was how deranged Darius was. Such a design was clearly done on purpose to expose the female Death Guards' figures during the training.
A few seconds later, Nadia regained some clarity and noticed his intense gaze at her physique.
"You don't need to worry," Elise coughed softly and said.
"I'm not worried." Nadia shook her head and glanced at Leonard. "If Sir wishes, I can use my body as repayment for the rescue."
"What's with you people and offering your body as repayment?"
Before Leonard could even reject her offering, Mirelle returned to the scene and questioned.
Her hands were stained with some blood. She held a cloth to wipe out some of them.
"I don't think you have any right to question them when you're so full of shit yourself." Leonard was unamused by her comment.
"These people suffered something tragic, whereas you enjoyed the high lifestyle. How could you possibly understand their plight?"
'You're serious?' Mirelle twitched her brows slightly.
He did not just call her out for enjoying the high lifestyle when he was literally the Crown Prince!
Hell, even before being appointed the Crown Prince, he was the fifth prince of Aldros in House Lawson.
'I'll say… are you trying to establish prestige in front of Nadia and Elise?'
Despite finding his ridicule an irony itself, Mirelle nodded and apologized for her offense.
What could she say?
She was strong, but his status was stronger.
"Anyway, did you loot everything from the corpses?" Leonard changed the topic and asked.
"Loot their corpses?" Mirelle was baffled. "I simply killed them and left it in place."
"What a wastrel!" He scolded harshly. Not looting the enemy's drop loot was equivalent to letting their goods rot without ever being in use.
Who knows if they might possess some great items that could be of use?
"Go back up and loot everything." He commanded.
"L-Loot everything?" Dumbfounded, Mirelle didn't think the Crown Prince was such a miser.
Where did the spendthrift Leonard go?
She recalled how he threw money away without any hesitation.
"Still idling here? Do you seriously want me to punish you?" Leonard snorted and raised his leg up.
"I'll go!" Mirelle exclaimed and hurriedly turned around to head back upstairs to loot the enemies' possessions.
"Don't forget their clothes as well!" Before her silhouette was gone, Leonard made sure to emphasize that their clothing should be gathered too.
Those clothes could be used for future disguises and save him the trouble of looking for clothes to wear.
