Chapter 78: Talk between friends?
Arthur reached his room late at night, and the first thing he did before doing anything was to check the red transparent screen he got when he was talking to Fira.
Calling out the system in his mind, a red transparent screen appeared in front of him.
[ You have learned a new Passive Talent: Acting (F)]
Arthur, reading the message, was a bit surprised as he hadn't gotten a skill like the previous time but a whole new talent. He didn't know what the difference was, but he wasn't complaining. He could guess the reason for getting it because of him acting out a bit in these few days.
It was only a measly F-rank, but he wasn't complaining as it was better than nothing.
Arthur, after checking the new talent, started the usual physical training—pushups, situps, and crunches. After he was done with training, with his body completely soaked in sweat, he decided to train his mana hand he had created inside the mine for a bit.
He didn't train for long as it was already 2 AM. He didn't want to stay up too long and miss out on the breakfast in the morning. He quickly took a cold shower and then went to bed. He drifted into sleep easily because of his tired body and mind, as today had been a bit hectic for him.

09:05 AM Morning
Arthur's eyes fluttered as he woke up from his slumber. After doing the workout last night, his body was feeling a little sore now, but it was much less than how it was when he first did the exercise. He felt like sooner or later he would get used to the exercise.
After getting himself ready, he left for breakfast where he ate the usual breakfast and chatted for a bit with Fira in Elvish. He noticed she wasn't as shy as before, as it looked like she was normal now.
She did ask him how he was able to learn Elvish so quickly. She told him it was a bit broken, but he was great and could hold a proper conversation with anyone. He just brushed it off by saying he was talented, that's why, and Fira thought that he must have awakened a talent regarding memory as there was no other explanation for it.
Weirdly enough, she asked him what soap he used. He was a bit grossed out by her question at first, which made her quite embarrassed, but he could see she was determined to get the answer as even while being embarrassed, she asked him again.
He told her it was a white soap bar. It didn't have any name on it, but it smelled good, and he didn't know if he was correct, but he should have provided these by the mine—and shouldn't have bought them from the market but he told he wasn't sure as he didn't have the memory of it.
He didn't know why she asked him that, and after getting the answer, she left quite quickly. Arthur did leave too after finishing the magical pudding she had created. It was strawberry flavor, and he enjoyed it quite a bit, but other than its fantastic flavor, he could feel that its effect had increased too.
'I think my soreness would be healed completely before the time of the training at night.'
After coming back to his room, he started reading the third part of the book to learn Elvish. Today he had made a goal, which was to completely finish these books, and hopefully, from tomorrow he would start the black magical books and begin learning magic.
The time drifted like a feather on the wind. Without even realizing it, locked in his learning, it was already a bit more than 3 PM. The sun rested high in the sky, but Arthur wasn't there to witness it, though the clock had made him aware.
He left in a hurry to the dining room, completing his lunch and eating the specials from the divine hands of Fira. He talked for a bit longer this time as he needed more practice to digest the new information he had gotten after finishing the book's part 3.
They talked for a whole hour without even being aware of it themselves. It was nothing important, nothing serious, just a bit of here and there. Arthur told her about how he had found her weird many times, which made Fira a bit grumpy, but she knew why he thought like that. In the end, they both laughed it off.
During the conversation, Arthur brought up the strange parchment he had used earlier to detect the lies from the truth—a painful memory that Fira didn't want to remember appeared, which made her shy a bit, but she did tell him most of the things about the contract and how popular it was.
She even told him about the actual creator of the contract, Avalyn Thornviel, but hid the fact that Avalyn secretly had control over the whole merchant associate. She did share how she was the daughter of the leader of the associate.
Arthur didn't quite get most of the part and acted a bit clueless but he imprinted the whole thing in his memory. Fira found it very cute as she could see he didn't get all of it, but he was listening to her so seriously as if she was telling him the secrets of the world.
She could even see a bit of excitement in his pure purple eyes. Now she understood a bit why, even when he had no talent and power to defend himself, he still wanted to travel outside. She remembered he had told her it was his dream.
But she couldn't quite get what it meant to him at that time as she had no dreams and only goals she was going to achieve one day, which she was sure she was going to do.
'Those things that may seem very far away or even impossible, yet you still want to pursue them—is that what dreams are?'
'His dreams are a bit unrealistic, but they have their charm. They are kind of beautiful.'
She couldn't help but lose herself in his eyes filled with passion for quite a while, and only after a smack on her head by Arthur did she wake up.
"Are you falling in love with me now?"
Arthur joked a bit as the word "love" got a big reaction from her whenever he said it to her after the misunderstanding was cleared.
As expected, Fira blushed for quite a while and didn't look straight into his eyes for a whole minute.
