Elven Domination: Reincarnated with a Cloning System

Chapter 71: Practice

Arthur finished his lunch and returned to his room.

'Argh! I have been too much today. My emotions are a bit out of control today, and I even made so much fun of Fira today. I would have never done these things in my right mind.'

No matter how friendly she is to him, at the end of the day, she is a person who could kill him with her thoughts alone.

'She doesn't seem to mind it that much, other than the fact she blushes after being embarrassed quite a lot.'

He doesn't know, but he felt she was enjoying it a bit too.

'Fucking periods! I didn't know they would have this much effect on me. Pain was something I could handle, but the mood swings and irritation I was feeling were making me act a bit on impulse today.'

'I have to keep myself in check.'

Now what is he going to do? He had about 4 to 5 hours before dinner. He did have the first book memorized and could have a basic understanding of the Elvish language with common words, but he still decided to hold off on the idea of reading the black books.

'I want to fully learn the Elvish language once and for all, and I don't want to check the books constantly to find the meaning of the words. It would take much more of my time.'

He didn't know how much time it would take for him to finish the three black books, but he didn't want to miss out on any information contained in them, as he didn't know when he would ever have such a precious opportunity to read books personally written by the Guild master of the Gourmet Guild.

'I have to do this.'

Arthur took out the second part of the book and took a seat in the chair in front of the table, put the book down, and began to become engrossed in completely devouring the book.

He became too lost in learning and even lost track of time. This time it was more complex things in the book—it had become a little harder to memorize, but he still could do it with a little repeating many times.

Arthur finally finished after completely devouring every bit of knowledge in it, and he was enthralled by the speed at which he was progressing. However, he had understood one thing: to become much more fluent in the language, he needed someone who could help him practice by talking.

As there were quite a few pages in this part 2 that had no substitute in them in the form of English, that took quite a bit of his time.

Arthur knew he was too engrossed in the book and the time must have passed quite a lot. Seeing 11 PM on the clock confirmed his thought.

'I have to quickly leave for dinner.'

He quickly stored the book inside the pouch using his mental energy and left in a hurry, his pace quick.

Reaching inside, he quickly filled up his plate with food and took his seat beside Fira, who was sitting there from the start.

He was quite perplexed, as no matter how late he came, she was always there.

'Does she not have anything better to do? She seems so free.'

Fira is so strong—he had thought she should have worked quite hard to achieve that—but from the time he had met her, she seemed quite leisurely other than the time she would cook, as she would transform into quite a different person.

So he decided to ask her.

"Fira, how come whenever I come here, no matter how late, you are always here? Do you have so much free time? Don't you have to train or something?"

Fira felt quite offended, as she felt like he was indirectly calling her a bum. She did understand why he might think that way, but she did train at night, as her body doesn't need that much sleep, to begin with—two hours is enough for her to feel completely refreshed, and as cultivation rank increases, it would be even shorter.

So for him to think like that wasn't a mistake. She didn't hide anything from him and told him exactly how it was, and her mother hadn't instructed her to train or anything in her rest period, which is coming to the mana mine to cook for the slaves and elves here.

She still remembered the gruesome training she had to do before coming here. That was torturous—her mother had become like a devil. How much pain and suffering she had to endure before the entrance exam for the Five Great Academies, and just like her mother, she had decided to take the test for Thalandar Hall.

She was quite excited about it too. She also wanted to rank first on the entrance exam like her mother did hundreds of years ago.

She did need that well-deserved break from training, but her habit had made her train even on the break.

She didn't tell him about the Five Great Academies and her mother, as those academies were something everyone dreamed of getting into, and even some talented people weren't able to get in due to how fierce the competition was.

The life inside the academy would be full of schemes, rivalry, fights, and tension.

If she told him about them and he dreamed of entering them like countless others, she didn't want to be the one to make her friend's already pitiful fate, which was represented in the form of his talent, even more hopeless.

'If he wouldn't know about them, it would be much better for him.'

Arthur was quite surprised by how she told him that she only needed to rest for an hour a day. It fascinated him—he also hoped to be like that one day, as he would have much more time to explore and train for himself.

Arthur asked her what was on his mind.

"Fira, when I am with you, can we talk in the Elvish language? I need to practice it to get a better hang of it."
