Elven Domination: Reincarnated with a Cloning System

Chapter 56: The Mystery of the Soap? (2)

The more Fira looked at him, the more she could say he was even hotter than before, but the redness on his skin was her main concern right now.

'It was as if he had rubbed soap on his body for so long that his skin turned red.'

She believed her thought, as it would also explain the strong smell.

'What happened to him?'

'What could be the reason behind him doing something like that, and now he seemed lost in thought? What's troubling him?'

She had to find out what was troubling him. Arthur was her friend—she had to help him.

'But well, it does seem the soap had worked. He looked much hotter. I have to ask him which soap he uses.'

'Nah, that would be too weird—to ask a man which soap he uses. But it did have a positive effect on him.'

'I have to get him to tell me, but at the same time try not to weird him out.'

'I'll try it too, see if it works on me or not.'

She realized she had shifted from her concern and focused her thoughts once again.

'What could be the reason for him to do that? Is he questioning his looks?'

She knew that for a man, how they look is important. Even men who could cultivate would take care of their appearance and spend a lot on things that could enhance their beauty.

A possibility arose in her mind.

'Is it because of me?'

She believed he had made his choice yesterday, by taking her hair as his remembrance and accepting the fact they couldn't be together and chose not to express his feelings.

'Shit, how could I think he would be able to cope with his emotions so fast?'

She didn't think she would be able to do much in this situation, but at least she had to make sure he didn't do something stupid.

She decided to let him out of his reverie, as the more he thought, the more it would hurt him—so she couldn't let him do that.

"Arthur, why aren't you eating your food?"

Arthur heard Fira's voice, which made him come out of his thoughts, and hearing her question, he told her it was nothing and started eating. He even forgot he was so hungry due to his thoughts.

Arthur had come to a conclusion that today he was going to talk to Liora and Zyra more—ask them why he couldn't seem to see them anywhere.

He finished eating now, and he noticed that Fira was giving him some weird looks for some reason, and he knew why.

'It must be because of the redness of my skin and the soapy smell she must be getting from me.'

"What is it, Fira?" Arthur said as he decided to start the conversation with her. If possible, he wondered if he would be able to get her to cast the magic that healed him before.

He was not feeling any pain. He didn't want to be like that all day.

Fira heard him. She started to talk to him, as this seemed the perfect opportunity for her to give him some advice.

"Arthur, are you alright? What happened to your skin?"

Arthur knew this was going to happen, but he couldn't tell her the truth, though he had thought of the perfect excuse. He wasn't sure if she would believe it or not, but that's what he was going to say—nothing more.

He told her that, as he had mentioned, he'd been training lately, so this morning after the training, he was too sweaty and a bit smelly. So, he started taking a bath afterward, and not knowing when you could see what happened.

Fira heard his story and nodded after he ended and gave him an okay as if she understood everything. But in her mind, she was sure—Arthur was lying to her, as she knew what was going on.

'I won't fall for such an obvious lie.'

But she was not going to bother trying to tell him the truth when he was not comfortable talking about it.

Fira cast an illusion spell around them, but it was not a secret anymore to Arthur now, as he could feel the mana around him moving. She was using silent casting—even the magic circle wouldn't appear—but Arthur still noticed.

'Fira has cast a spell.'

He could sense mana had converted into some sort of mystical energy forming around them, though he had no idea what type of spell it was.

Arthur tried to find out what type of spell she was casting by trying to look at other elves around the room, but he failed to guess because they were showing no reaction at all, and like usual, peeked on them from time to time.

"Let me help you. I can't let you walk around like a tomato all day," Fira said.

After saying those, a small golden magic circle formed in front of him, and like the last time, a warm golden glow formed around him. As a warm current flowed inside his body, he could see the redness on him starting to fade away, and it returned to its former white skin without any redness.

Arthur had focused on the golden magic circle, and he didn't know how, but he remembered the magic circle in his brain now. But he wasn't surprised for too long, as he remembered reading about the passive talent of Mana Genius (SS), which seemed to be related to memory.

Arthur was still curious about what type of spell she had cast. He didn't feel anything. He glanced at the elves once again, but still, he didn't see any reaction.

'Wait a minute.'

'No reaction?'

He believed they should have reacted in some way upon seeing Fira cast the spell on him to heal him.

'I remember she had an illusion affinity too.'

Arthur had found out—she must have cast an illusion spell before to not let anyone see what she had done.
