The ethereal glow on Ember's body increases rapidly. Her body starts to turn into light particles. His hand, which he had wrapped around her, can no longer feel the mass of her body, and even the connection he had with her is gone. The dress he had given her has dropped to the floor—a testament that she is truly gone.

'She is gone.'

Arthur knew Ember was gone now. The red light particles started to merge with Arthur. Bit by bit, Arthur could feel changes happening inside his body. His body felt like it was burning, but the pain was nothing compared to the time before.

So it was easy to handle the pain with only slight grunts being released from his mouth. But the pain was much more than the time when Ivy had tortured him. Arthur hadn't realized that fact due to his perception changing after experiencing the hellish pain before.

"Ugh!"

Now even the afterimage of Ember is gone as only red eternal light particles are around, merging with him.

The speed of merging had started to increase, and now the light grunts had become much louder, but it still couldn't be compared to a scream.

"Urgh!!"

Arthur had just noticed a horrible smell, and it seemed to be coming from him. It felt even more torturous than the pain he was feeling. He tried to hold his breath for as long as he could.

He could see from his skin a strange black substance was starting to be released. He didn't want his clothes to be touched by it, as he only had three pairs of the same white long dress, which looked a little like a designer cloak without the hood and with a round neck.

He undressed himself and even took off his underwear.

'The stench is too much. I don't think even if I washed my clothes the horrible stench would go away.'

He praised himself for his quick thinking.

Standing inside the room was Arthur, naked. His body was not the best—he looked a bit skinny. His previous workout had made his body slightly toned, but he lacked quite a bit of muscle.

Due to his genes, his proportions were quite good, and his body could be considered attractive even when it was a bit skinny. However, there was still room for improvement.

But for his little one, it's a different story.

Arthur was still feeling the pain as grunts were being released from his mouth as more and more light particles were being merged with him.

'I should move to the shower.'

However, he was not sure if it was a good idea to move during the process of genetic assimilation.

To test it, he moved a few inches to the right. Seeing the red eternal light particles follow him, he ran off to the bathroom.

A few minutes had passed, and now only a few particles were left to merge with him. During this time, he couldn't help but release some loud grunts. Now his body was covered in black, gooey substance from head to toe, and he had even stopped trying to stop himself from smelling it, as it's pointless now.

But that was not the problem. His stomach was churning.

'I feel I will vomit any second.'

Right after those thoughts, Arthur vomited for half a minute. Tears formed at the corner of his eyes as he vomited. His eyes noticed what came out from his stomach was not food but the same black substance.

'Urgh, I taste so horrible, argh!!!'

Once he finished vomiting, he couldn't see any light particles around him. It was over. He was ready to clean his mouth; even if he had to drink toothpaste, he would do it because of the horrible aftertaste he was still having.

"ARRRGGHH!!!"

However, out of nowhere, he felt the same pain he felt before, not in his body but in his soul. It was only for a second, but it made him scream like a little girl.

It seems some changes had been made in his soul.

Right after that, a few red transparent screens appeared in front of him, but he didn't have to look at them to know that it was finished and he had gotten the new talent and affinity.

Because the world seemed different to him now than before, he felt he was living in a bubble. He could feel the mana all around him. He could also feel that they seemed to like him as the mana had gathered around him.

There was mana everywhere, even inside his body, which he could feel.

It was a magical feeling, which he wanted to explore more. However, the horrible aftertaste was killing him.

He knew he couldn't even get the brush to clean his mouth right now, so he started the shower and started to clean himself, and he used a ton of soap to make sure that the stench was gone.

30 minutes and with the sacrifice of a whole soap bar, Arthur felt like he was ready to walk outside.

While walking to the sink, he noticed that his skin had turned a bit red due to excessive cleaning, but he knew it would be normal after some time when it healed itself.

Looking at the mirror of the sink, he did notice even his face was a bit red, but no matter how he looked at it, he looked more attractive for some reason, and even his body seemed a bit more toned, and he could guess the reason for it.

'It is due to gaining new talent, more precisely the release of that horrible substance.'

The lack of muscle was still there, but he had become much more handsome now.

Arthur didn't hold back on the toothpaste and used it like never before. He gargled countless times and even brushed his tongue for at least a minute.

After 7 minutes of hard work, he could no longer feel the horrible taste in his mouth.

'Finally.'

Arthur thought about checking the new talent he had gotten, but he noticed the time on the clock, which was showing him 8:34 AM.
