Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree

Chapter 564: The New Perpetual Motion Machine and the Race Creation Plan (2)

Each and every one symbolized an opportunity for rise!

For those with ambition, it was their chance to change fate and take a step further.

For those yearning for wealth, finding a lost Divine Artifact in such a region, even just a fragment, could bring them prosperity for life.

In such circumstances, it was only natural for people to want to explore the Divine Country.

However, for now, they could only linger outside the Divine Country.

Although the passage connecting the Divine Country and the Segis World had appeared in the form of a gateway of light, as long as the controller, Eves, didn't release it, no creature could enter.

And for these worldly beings eager to explore the Divine Country, Eves had some thoughts.

The former Divine Country held nothing of value, at least... Eves thought it didn't.

In that case, when the "Shattered Divine Country Instance" was opened to players, why not let these folks in as well?

Many of these adventurers were used to licking blood off the blade, making them very suitable to train the players.

Besides, the Divine Country itself was quite a special plane. Even if it was a shattered Divine Country, the souls of outsiders who perished there were unlikely to return to their own True God's nation.

This gave Eves considerable room for maneuver.

She didn't want to use the former Divine Country to devour souls to strengthen herself, but many of the adventurers attracted to the shattered Divine Country were quite sensitive to intelligence.

*After their death, Eves could openly "browse" their memories and gather intelligence from all over the Segis World.*

Never underestimate the weak.

Perhaps their power was vastly different from Eves's, but their activity across the continent might surprise Eves in unexpected ways...

It also counted as Eves fishing.

The Divine Country was the bait.

Those wanting to gain something had to be prepared to pay the price.

Of course, should someone actually enter the Divine Country and leave unscathed, gaining some benefits, Eves wouldn't stop them.

On one hand, this was the reward they deserved.

On the other hand, it was also like advertising for the Divine Country bait.

"Look, here's a Divine Country. It's dangerous, but it's full of ancient Divine Artifact fragments and epic creature remains. You might even stumble upon scrolls inscribed with lost magic."

"What are you waiting for?"

"Come and explore!"

Of course, Eves would limit the level of these worldly beings entering the Divine Country.

All who entered were to have their strength suppressed to below the Golden Rank.

At least for now, adjustments could be made later based on players' strength changes.

The rest depended on the players' abilities.

Would local adventurers defeat players and send them back to the World Tree, or would players eliminate the adventurers and take their equipment...it was up to their skills.

Eves believed that with these adventurers joining the instance, players would have even more fun.

*On second thought, it was much like the "serendipitous instance" from those fantasy novels she used to read.*

*Just a Western fantasy version.*

*If in the future, the "treasure" in the Divine Country was fully collected by players, Eves could conveniently tweak the offerings and, with a bit of Divine Power, toss them back in as "treasures."*

*Tsk, perfect.*

*If there was any flaw, it was that Eves had to handle the junkyard every time. Although she only needed to move her thoughts and point casually to complete it, doing it for too long did get a bit tiresome.*

"Perhaps...I should create one or several Demigod Level clansmen. Such things could well be handed over to the clansmen."

Eves pondered.

Previously her Divine Power was too weak to accomplish this.

But now that she had advanced to moderate Divine Power and had over sixteen thousand points of Divine Power, spending a few hundred points to create a Demigod Level clansmen was more than sufficient.

And Eves had several options for this.

The simplest was to choose a devout believer from her current followers and directly "anoint" them with Divine Power to help them achieve Demigod status.

A bit more complex was using the World Tree's innate ability to birth a Primordial Elf, enhancing the investment of Divine Power, to directly birth an Elf Demigod Level clansmen.

However, Eves found both methods somewhat lacking.

The first method was the most convenient, but the "Elf Kingdom" involved Eves's core secrets. Eves must ensure the loyalty and diligence of the chosen candidate.

Elf Believers might be a good choice, but Eves was a bit picky about their rigid personalities.

Adding to that, her blatant "harvesting" tactics were not entirely honorable. For the Elf Believers, knowing about it...well, it might indeed affect a god's image.

*After all, in the eyes of the Elf Believers, she was so great and just…*

The second method, formulating a Demigod through birth, while ensuring loyalty, involved the creation of a physical body for the Primordial Elf, which wasn't easy to manage.

Though a Demigod wasn't a complete mythological being, the gap from the myth wasn't that vast either.

Their souls had long since sublimated into Divine Souls.

And a physical form capable of harboring a Divine Soul was rare.

Many True Gods didn't even have one!

Most of Eves's temporary embodiments were manifestations of Divine Power. Only when using the Soul Storage Orb did she craft a physical form capable of housing a Divine Soul.

Of course, she now had a better True Divine Artifact body and didn't care anymore.

But when it came time to birth a Demigod clansmen, she had to consider carefully.

Forced births weren't impossible, but the Divine Power cost would be significantly higher, possibly several times more.

This, in Eves's view, lacked cost-effectiveness.

While she desired a Demigod clansmen as a helper, it wasn't an urgent necessity, and she was not keen on investing so much Divine Power after considering all factors.

However, there was a third way.

Who was Eves?

She was the World Tree.

The True God governing the Domain of Life.

She also possessed the Life Scepter, a True Divine Artifact completely restored, ranking in the top ten among all Divine Artifacts of Segis.

And the Life Scepter had the ability to create life.

Since both earlier methods held flaws, couldn't Eves use her divinity and the Life Scepter to create a Demigod Level being?

Yes, forming a Demigod Level body was difficult, considering reproductive capability posed an even greater challenge.

But the form of life wasn't limited to the physical!

There was one form of life that inherently resonated well with the Divine Souls of True Gods...

That was energy life.

*In fact, for the True Gods of Faith in the Segis World, their process of Divine Enthronement was itself the transformation from material to energy life.*

*Many True Gods also had Demigod clansmen in the energy form.*

*With this in mind, Eves's heart had become decided...*

*That was to create a Demigod Level energy life with her current capabilities!*

No.

*More accurately, to create a new species!*

*Since she planned to create life, it ought to be done the best.*

The Life Scepter naturally possessed the ability to create species, and this was originally part of Eves's Domain of Life capability. She could certainly use Divine Power and the laws of life to create a new species!

Of course, the newly created species couldn't all be Demigods.

If Eves had that power, she would have already become a strong, or even great, Divine Power…

She just needed to create a race of energy beings who worshipped her, then choose one to enlighten into a Demigod.

"This idea is good. Previously I had the notion of using the Life Scepter to create a new species to refine my understanding of the laws of life. In that case... just do it all together."

"Perhaps, it could also add a new companion race for the players, as the race I create would wholly absorb the knowledge and beliefs I wish to instill. They could be naturally high-quality NPCs!"

"Pairing with life and nature, then... how about the fairies from those fantasy stories of Blue Star?"
