Don't Mess with That Dragon

After defeating that mysterious pyramid structure and the undead zombie creatures, the undead zombies within a hundred miles lost much of their threat without a "brain" to command and empower them. They were then easily divided and exterminated by the Dragon Nest Legion.

Although there were some errors in the plan, it was still relatively smooth. With the core of the nest destroyed, from now on, we only need to continually eliminate the undead zombies wandering between the mountains and forests.

Luring, dividing, surrounding, exterminating... all these methods used on the remaining zombie undead can be considered another kind of drill, wiping out the zombies in the forests, which can train a unit into an elite army.

In terms of loss, the Dragon Nest Beastmen didn't suffer much in this campaign.

Most of the injuries in the Dragon Nest Legion were caused by the shockwave from Austin's release of the three-attribute Rasengan, but thanks to the treatment with the abundant Snake Shedding Grass from the Wet Bone Forest, there are basically no major issues.

However, the gains from this war were also quite meager.

Against the enemy of zombie undead, the post-war gains, except for the unknown energy crystal Austin found in the remnants of the pit, were almost nothing.

Though Austin could sense the unknown strong energy contained within the energy crystal, he also felt that if he were to rashly devour it, that terrifying energy would certainly blow him apart.

"Now I am a Gold Level Giant Dragon, yet the energy within this crystal is enough to blow me apart, and there's no record of such energy in the inherited memories...."

In the Dragon's Nest, Austin looked at the unknown energy crystal suspended in front of him, his eyes flickering.

Is this thing some kind of core material used to create the pyramid, or is it a crystal core formed by absorbing the earth's power?

Upon closer inspection, he still found nothing.

In the end, Austin could only store it away for future consideration.

"The pyramid has been destroyed, and the zombies within the area it covered have been severely weakened. The Dragon Nest Legion will soon be able to clean up the remaining zombies, but... why is there still no response over there?"

Austin sat cross-legged on a gigantic platform, pondering silently.

On the day the pyramid was destroyed, to prevent other mishaps, Austin had already ordered the Beastman Legion to retreat and personally flew over a hundred kilometers to the mountains where the gray ape tribe's ruins, the first place the zombie creatures were discovered, were located, to scout the movements of those zombie creatures.

However, after days of observation, there was no movement at all, and even when Austin ventured into the depths to investigate another intact pyramid, he found no anomaly.

"Not long ago, the undead zombies spread through the southwestern gray ape tribe ruin mountains, covering a hundred miles and began to construct pyramids and erode the earth. Something is clearly driving everything from behind the scenes, but why hasn't there been any reaction since the pyramid's destruction?"

"Could it be that I'm wrong? Or is it that there really is no mastermind behind this, and all signs are just natural coincidences?"

After thinking for a while, Austin couldn't help but doubt himself.

But soon he denied his doubt, at least for now, according to the Beastman Alliance, the appearance of mutated evil spirits led to all this.

The source of all this originates from the depths of the Kawa Great Forest, from that mutated evil spirit.

"The Beastman Alliance's statement may not be reliable, or maybe those Great Tribe leaders leading millions of beastmen to escape and attack the border have other ideas... but there is one thing for sure, the counterattack between the Dragon Nest Tribe and the undead zombie sea is just a small wave in the grand battlefield."

"Millions of beastmen gathering at the border indicates that the rear of all the major tribes in the Beastman Alliance may have been overrun and occupied, so the areas covered by the undead zombie spread are definitely not few."

"In the vast Kawa Great Forest region, the number of living creatures is unknown. Among them, those extremely powerful races and tribes must also have those at the Legendary Realm, and the expansion of the undead zombie sea must have faced destruction by such powerful Legendary Level beings."

"The Dragon Nest Tribe is just an insignificant tip of the iceberg in that gigantic battle line, perhaps this is also why the pyramid's destruction here is not taken seriously."

Austin faintly speculated that the expansion of the undead zombie sea must have encountered such devastating destruction.

Perhaps the mutated evil spirit guiding and orchestrating all this from behind knows about the pyramid's destruction here but deemed it as something eroded into the domain of those at the Legendary Level and easily wiped out.

"If that's the case, then the Dragon Nest Tribe can face a period of peaceful development."

As the saying goes, when the sky falls the tall ones hold it up. The bloodline of the Giant Dragon Race makes any dragon upon adulthood reach the Legendary Level, and there absolutely are no adult wild dragons missing in the Kawa Great Forest.

Moreover, some top creatures may not even be weaker than Giant Dragons.

With those unknown legendary presences holding at the top, what's there to be afraid of?

Upon reaching Gold Level, the legendary law hidden within the Legendary Bloodline unlocked a bit more, making Austin more aware of the terror of the Legendary.

It's not something that can be amassed just by numbers, and even those mature pyramids would not pose any harm to Legendary creatures.

It's just that... I don't know why those Legendary beings do not eliminate the undead zombie sea, and instead allow them to build pyramids, erode the earth, and transform vast forest areas, aren't they afraid that in the end, it might lead to total destruction?

Or is there some other purpose...

Austin pondered silently, looking at the unknown energy crystal before him, his eyes flickering.

"Beastman Alliance, border humans, legendary creatures... perhaps it's time to interact with the outside world, at least to gather some intelligence..."

Since birth, I've been sheltered in the nearby area without any external interaction, and those small tribes of hundreds living here for generations, what could they possibly know?

To learn more information, I must step out of the territory and engage in some communication with other powerful forces.

At least understand the situation outside, not remain blindfolded now when the Kawa Great Forest is facing a grand transformation of epic proportions.
