Chapter 67: : Xuan's Wrath
"Xue Ming? Shouldn't you be in school?" Emperor Woo asked with a contagious, jovial smile that melted Xue Ming.
She had never been more excited to see her father. And the Elf King had never been more excited to see Emperor Woo.
"I was wondering when you would arrive," the Elf King said, now taking things seriously by summoning his ice reaper weapon, sharpened at both edges, and his undead dragon burst through the ground, roaring.
"Go now and help your friends," said the Emperor. Every time he spoke, it came out poetic, unlike the undead Elf King.
At this point, Xi Ning, who had been buried under rocks, slowly got up after gaining consciousness. Her bruised face was no different from Zhao Lan's and Xue Ming's.
Of course, the Elf King was letting them go. After all, he had been lingering around this place because he knew the Emperor would come.
If not, he should be the one leading the undead troop to complete his master's quest.
"Hmm; so which of the foolish gods decided you live again?" Woo asked, now standing on top of the mountain as the girls vaulted down.
"Tsk, maybe when I send you there, you'll see for yourself."
Woo sighed. He slowly pulled off his upper robe, revealing his old but muscular physique. He removed the pin, and his long hair fell behind his back.
"Alright," he sighed. He cracked his neck, shoulders, and toes.
As the undead dragon roared again, before it could fly, a colossal wild black bear burst through the ground, with a big glowing X symbol that correlated with its white, glowing eyes.
The spiritual bear beast caught the undead dragon by its skeletal tail, and having enough strength—though the dragon was bigger than it—the bear slammed the dragon against the mountain wall.
Boom! Creating dust and sounds of falling rocks. Simultaneously, a blue portal, like the one Woo used, appeared in front of the bear.
As it pounced in, another portal appeared on top of the dust, with the colossal bear holding a glowing battle axe, and—boom!
Emperor Woo returned his gaze back to the undead King. Just like the bear, the glowing symbol was also on his chest, with a touch of darkness.
"Let's end this quickly before I kill every living thing in this city along with you." Emperor Woo's once calm voice was replaced with anger.
In reality, he didn't just need to end it quickly because of his ability, but he had around an hour before the medicine wore off.
So he really needed to finish this quickly.

Meanwhile...
Fang Yuan's claws left a mark on Xuan's chest, causing Xuan to leap back from those talons. He held his chest and quietly groaned in pain.
The spot wasn't just bleeding. It was as if a hot rod had been stabbed inside. Even as the blood dripped on the ground, it dried up with steam.
"Now that I have this form, I can match up to that silly speed of yours."
In the next second, it was almost as fast as Xuan's time freeze, because Xuan was unable to tell when Fang Yuan appeared behind his back.
Sliish!
The talons cut through the air, but when they reached Xuan, he had to form the claws into his palm, sending a calamitous slap on Xuan's ears.
Kweuk!
The attack sent Xuan through the pillar, with a series of explosions, until he finally sank inside a broken web wall. A little blood formed on his forehead where he reclined.
"Tell me you've gained your senses back, Xuan."
However, Xuan kept quiet, looking at the ceiling. He could feel the red liquid now covering his face, almost tasting the metallic, salty flavor with a faint sweetness between his lips—his blood.
Also, his right ear was bleeding from that slap.
Xuan languidly stood up. "You could have clawed my head out just now," he said placidly. His eyes scrutinized Fang Yuan's armor.
"It's that wing of yours, isn't it? That's what's making you this fast."
From how Fang Yuan's facial expression wavered, there was no denying it. Xuan sighed. "You had a chance to escape with those wings."
Boom!
No, Xuan did not let Fang Yuan think over those words. The moment the last word left his lips, Xuan surged at him, and a piercing wail was heard, with a morsel of blood flying in midair from Fang Yuan's mouth.
The punch connected with his abdomen, ruining his bone. It was as if all the strength a late divine cultivator could gather was concentrated on that one single punch.
Because not only were his broken bones heard, the punch sent him sinking into the wall, sending a resonant explosion mixed with wind across the country.
That was exactly what Xuan did—time freeze and all his cultivation strength in this one tumid, veined fist.
Contrary to what Fang Yuan did, at the very heartbeat of time, Xuan sprang to the spot where Fang Yuan was buried.
"Bwehehehe." Xuan's simper held no warmth. His venomous dagger appeared the moment he pinned Fang Yuan against the wall.
Stab! Stab! Stab!
Timed without number, Xuan stabbed Fang Yuan in the chest, neck, eyes—and the painful part was, he wasn't letting Fang Yuan scream because he cupped his mouth.
Fang Yuan could only cry as his friend kept on stabbing him. As of now, Xuan's face was painted with Fang Yuan's blood.
Every cut rapidly made him weak, and his form was slowly fading because his cultivation stage was dropping with every stab.
The venom was spreading faster than anything. Fang Yuan was definitely going to die.
"Rrgghaaaaaa!!!" Xuan yelled, ripping apart the wings and tossing them above his head while grinning. This was bloodlust. This was Xuan's wrath.
"Xuan~" Zhao Lan's voice echoed in his head. She and the two girls walked into the ruined palace.
Xi Ning held herself from bursting into tears. That was Xuan, who looked like a monster. There were even two short horns, like those of Loki from Marvel villains.
Having lost the rhythm of what he was doing, Xuan let go of Fang Yuan, and the lifeless body fell to the ground.
With that, Xuan faced the girls and asked, "Where do you allegiance—"
Before Xuan could complete the words, Zhao Lan quickly ran towards him and hugged him tight, crying on his body.
"Xu... Xuan~ please, that's enough." Her dainty voice found a way to settle in his head. Because he tried lifting his dagger to end her.
But his mind wouldn't obey. His body belonged to the undead Elf King, but his mind somehow tried resisting the urge to kill Zhao Lan.
"Zhao Lan," Xuan finally spoke. "I don't know how long I can remain calm. You have to leave now," he added, with the venomous dagger fading.
"Xue Ming, Li Feng, Xi Ning, Yue Cai, Zhao Lan," a morsel of tears rolled down Xuan's eyes. "I'm sorry."
The moment Xuan's mind completely overwhelmed the will of the undead King, he returned back to being dead. Normally, he was killed by the undead King and revived.
But now that he disobeyed the will of his master, the ice gradually cracked until Xuan's body shattered completely.
"Xuan!" Xue Ming cried out. Xi Ning, on the other hand, cupped her mouth while falling to her knees.
"All Mother," Xi Ning quietly whispered—a state where she needed to be calm in order to communicate with the Mother of Preservation.
Her affinity was that of ice, related to preserving things, including those who died—but in exchange for her life.
Actually, she wouldn't die. She would only join the All Mother's disciples in the heaven realm and wouldn't be able to enter the mortal worlds anymore.
Also, unable to have sexual intercourse, her job would only be tasked with the preservation of souls and possibly their rebirth.
And the souls preserved were sent to the Holy Society, where those who were there were given a chance to complete tasks within the time the All Mother could preserve their soul.
Once the time was up and the task wasn't completed, you went back to being dead.
Bam!
Emperor Woo was sent bursting through the door, sending the body of the undead King to his knees.
"What? What happened?" he asked. Even his daughter kept quiet. He could see the girls all had tears in their eyes, and if he recognized Xuan very well—that wasn't him with one wing.
"Fix this," Emperor Woo growled.
"Hahaha! Foolish boy. So, he finally decided to betray his father-in-law. He will remain dead. Not even my gauntlet can bring him back now... hahaha!"
Those were the last words of the undead King, because his hyena-like laughter pissed off Zhao Lan, and with her hands gestured as if crushing an invisible egg, his head exploded to pieces.
The next thing they knew, a beam of light fractured the ceiling of the palace. A huge hole was carved by the light, and a figure, adorned in a transparent white revealing dress, slowly descended.
The perverted All Mother had arrived.
