Chapter 83: The Quaking earth
The sun shone brightly in the sky casting it's warm glow upon Semonios and the forest alike.
They had all transported the cages to delvin and returned to carry out a search for the Emperor's Knight upon orders recieved.
Tyran stood atop a mountain staring at the vast forest vegetation below,he couldn't be more worried, couldn't shake off the strange feeling he felt that something was wrong.
They had all been awake all night yet no one complained,no one paused to rest,if the emperor did not rest how could they.
The emperor tried contacting Ren but his link was blocked.
Just the exact moment he needed him the most and he was no where to be found.
Finding Gerald would have been faster with him.
Somewhere at the foot of the mountain,a Chief Knight approached a general.
"Where is his imperial magesty?...we have I'll news" he said.
The general eyed the chief Knight for a while, then his eyes settled on the four knights behind him which carried a body covered with a white blood stained cloth.
He stared at the Chief Knight before him briefly before walking over to pull the sheet used to cover it.
His jaw fell open at the sight then he pulled it over and nodded to the Chief Knight before stepping aside.
They teleported to appear where Tyran was with some generals and found him pacing back and forth, deep in his own thoughts.
Tyran stopped when they appeared and stared at them.
He smelt a corpse.
The Emperor watched as they placed what they carried gently on the ground and stepped aside, before lowering their heads.
Tyran gazed at it wondering who it was to make them carry him all the way here.
Perhaps a famous general or_
His eyes widened at the next person he thought of.
Tyran stared down at it then at the gloomy mourning faces of the Chief Knight and knights around him.
He stalked over to the body and swung the covering open.
At the sight of his knight Tyran's blood grew cold as his heart sank.
He took few paces backward startled at the sight.
Tyran closed his eyes for a while, praying he was dreaming then he reopened them,he wasn't.
Gerald's body was lying Infront of him,a knight he loved so dearly like a son,he was dead, his limb dismembered.
He clenched his teeth as rage flushed over him,he didn't know the cause of the death yet but some reason he was angry.
"Your magesty we found him dead lying next to a savage...from the looks of it,it appears he had been killed by a savage, probably the same one lying dead at the scene.
The emperor shook his head.
It would be impossible for a savage to successfully take down his Knight unless they were in their multitude but even so why would a multitude of them go after him in first place.
Since they arrived at the forest nothing made sense.
"How many savage did you find dead at the scene?"
"Just one your imperial magesty and there was none in sight".The Chief Knight responded.
"Impossible!"Tyran barked exposing sharp fangs,his brow furrowed."Location!"
"Northwards from here most closest to his Majesty King parlu and King Zephron's battle station"The Knight reported.
For a moment Tyran felt his blood grow cold as he recalled the flame that was shot into the sky and the Beasty growl before meeting with King Zephron's group.
The flame flare was Gerald, signaling for help.
He had gotten seen his call for help but ignored it but one savage couldn't have succeeded in taking him down unless he had been injured before hand by savages or someone in this forest out for him.
But why did he go out that far.
It still didn't make any sense and It didn't matter how he died,he had ignored his Knight's call for help .
Had he found him earlier, his knight would not have died.
It was his fault to begin with, coming to this forest was his idea.
Had he not come,Gerald would still be alive.
His wife was taken from him and now his own knight.
Tyran's hand trembled as he stared at the body, then he lowered his head, bitting his lips till it oozed out blood.
The knights and Generals watched blood drop down his lips as he bit it continuously.
Tyran clenched his hands and the earth below him began splitting.
Suddenly,a strong wind began blowing around them, blowing away the leaves of trees in various directions as it raised dust in the air.
The stones on the quaking earth hung in mid air as dark clouds slowly gathered to his the sun completely from sight.
Terrified knight Watched him but his lips even more before glancing at each other.
As a strong wind blew in their direction, they all shielded their eyes their arm,the wind growing stronger by each passing second.
A general walked towards him while struggling with the strong wind attempting to blow him away.
He placed a hand on Tyran's shoulder while shielding his eyes with his other arm.
"Your magesty please stop, you are hurting yourself". He said then lowered his arm to take a peep,at the same time he found Tyran raising his head slowly.
When their Eyes met,the Emperor's was glowing with a golden light.
Immediately, the wind picked up and tossed him aside.
The knights around the body simultaneously held it steady to prevent it from blowing off.
An unfamiliar voice boomed in everyone's head present at the mountain.
"Take your Knights and leave for Delvin immediately if you don't want to get hurt, the Emperor might destroy this forest".
They had all heard it at the same time, a mass telepathic message which couldn't be done by just anyone,it left them wondering who had given the order.
A General pointed at a red eyed silhouette on a tree some distance away causing everyone to turn in the direction.
