Rengyotsu had gotten the knight's telepathic message but he was unable to get his location before the link disconnected.

Someone needed help,someone he had no interest in helping.

So far he knew,that wasn't the emperor's Knight voice but his curiosity how however was pequied to know what was going on.

If he was with the rest of his group there was no way he could ask for backup from a mere savage attack.

Something had happened to him,and currently anything could be a clue to locating the knight's whereabout.

Ren Kicked the dirt several times in fraustration,then he stopped to think.

An average demon's telepathic range was about two hundred kilometers,for the more powerful ones it extends over three hundred kilometers.

He was close by though not too close by since his voice was quite vague meaning he must be over hundred kilometers away from him.

Normally no one except Tyran would dare speak to him via telepathy for everyone knew how much he despised unwelcomed voices in his head,since this person had contacted him he must have been the only Semonio close by.

Rengyotsu's wings spread out as he flew inbetween trees as fast as he could sniffing all the way and calculating the distance from memory.

After flying over a hundred kilometers Ren's sharp nose caught the scent of corpses.

He followed the scent and found them.

His eyes drifted from one corpse to the other,which laid in different directions not too far from the other.

The corpse with the squashed skull caught his attention.

Ren went over to it, scooped blood from his head with his index finger and stared at it.

The blood was fresh meaning he had just been killed not too long ago.

Ren stared at the emblem of Urah on his silver armour,he was a chief knight whose skull had been squashed probably by another demon,a chief knight could never have lost to a mere savage.

The general raised his head and glanced over at the other corpses.

They looked different,he couldn't sense a soul in them.

He went over to General wang's corpse and stared down at it for a while,a demon who was killed earlier and had been used for necromancy.

Ren knew necromancy was king Parlu's bloodline gift but the king was rumoured to have never used it.

If it was not him then it was none other than Dark.

They had never seen the higher-ups before but with King Parlu's benevolent nature he strongly doubted his role in such grave misconduct but still he wasn't quite sure yet he would have to see the confront the king for an interrogating session when he got back.

Ren spun around,straining his sense of smell to detect Dark's scent or anything unusual.

For these Semonios to have come all the way here and gotten killed,they had probably seen something or had been prevented from doing so by killing them.

The emperor's Knight might be close by and deep down he prayed he was not too late.

Suddenly,his nose caught a faint scent of another corpse.

Since it was dead,he couldn't quite detect the demon's original smell.

His blood smelt different now,the blood of corpses held this sick rotten sweet smell.

General Ren's wings lifted him and he took to flight as fast as he could to what he hoped could be clue to finding the Emperor's Knight.

The corpse was far away since it's smell was faint and he had no time to loose.

Ren teleported halfway as he flew, speedily dodging multiple trees whenever he reappeared.

He was faster now since most of the poison was out of him but he still needed to clear the residual amount,the longer it stayed,the more it the pain he had to endure,the more it harmed him and the more time he would need to recuperate.

He wondered if Tyran had noticed his Knight's absence,they all must have begun a search as well and probably the Semonios earlier had been sent on a search before they wandered off.

From a distance he caught sight of a body along with a savage not too far away.

Ren teleported mid air to appear at the scene and his eyes widened in shock.

He was too late.

The emperor's Knight lay in a pool of his own blood with lost limbs and marks of claw penetration

through his chest.

He clenched his teeth and both fist tightly, overwhelmed by rage.

They had killed him,they had killed him and made it look like a savage kill.

Only a fool would think a savage could kill the Emperor's knight but there could still be so many speculations about that and clearly they had prepared the scene well to arouse those.

"How dare theyyy!!"Ren yelled out in attempt to let out some of his anger but it wouldn't go away, nothing could make it go away unless his blood thirst was satisfied and he would take a life to satisfy it,a head for a head,blood for blood.

As Ren watched the body,two Chief Knights appeared in front of him.

Ren swiftly glanced over at them then back at the corpse.

The body held their eyes for a while then they mumured to reach other what Ren didn't bother listening to.

One eyed the general for a while before stepping forward.

"General Rengyotsu,we are part of the knights the emperor sent in search for_"

He paused and gazed down at the body.

Ren shot him a quick glance when he mentioned the emperor, evading his gaze almost immediately as their eyes met.

"Apparently we are too late...we were around here when we heard your voice and our curiousity drove us all the way here".

Ren didn't answer,just stared at the body, tightening his clenched hands the more.

"The emperor won't be happy to hear this... General what do do we do?"

Ren raised his head and those scarlet eyes glared at him for a moment then he looked away,turned his back at them and vanished.

"Hmmmpphh...don't tell me you expected a response from him the other chief Knight asking giving him a shoulder tap.

"Not really but since I can remember,this is the first time I have seen him so sad".

"How dare theyyyyy"Came the voice a couple of distance away from them.

King max stopped and so did the others, both he and Dark recognizing the voice.

The king's face twisted in a smirk.

"Rengyotsu must have found the body,it is my greatest desire to see the look on the emperor's face when he finds out he caused the death of his favorite Knight, bringing him out all the way here to be slaughtered by a beast.

"Your majesty...We should leave at once before we are discovered,he is not one to be underestimated when enraged and he could find us in a couple of seconds"Dark suggested.

King Max's gaze shifted to Marcus who carried an unconscious Kaugra on his back.

Athena was gone when he returned with the savage corpse to frame Gerald's death to an area he assumed crying her eyes out,not that he cared.

Everything had went according to plan but he hadn't expected what she did but earlier,had dark not pulled her away he wouldn't have hesitated to kill her,even his love for Aries had never turned him into such a fool,he would never imagine giving his life for her and wouldn't think twice before killing her if she betrayed him.

"Dark...Take her back to delvin to her room as if nothing happened and seal it's door till we return"

"I will get back to my troops...you should leave for your father's company as well Prince Marcus before your absence becomes suspicious...we will return back to the others and arrive at the same time in Delvin as every one else.

King Maxmillian drew out his sword before pulling out the Poisoned veil from Dark's pocket.

He struck the tip of the sword into it then struck the sword into his right shoulder, carefully avoiding his bone.

King Maxmillian dropped his sword with it's scabbard and caused the earth to open and swallow it up.

They all watched his hand transformed into a beast which he struck it into the side of his abdomen, grunting silently from the pain.

His hand returned back to normal as he stared at it and Licked his blood,cracking a wide grin.

He spat out blood before turning his head in the direction of Ren's voice.

"The banquet has only just begun".he muttered.
