Destroying My Own World

Chapter 422: No hard feelings.

Mykel and the others landed at The Lord's kingdom and since his move was unexpected by The Lord, there wasn't a single angel that stopped them. The reason was simple because remaining angels with high ranks were staying by The Lord's side. The rest of the angels were occupied by something else, it was because Lucifer and the other demons were there as well, having their own war.

"We almost forgot about them. In the past, Lucifer and the other demons were killed by the archangels," Amaryllis observed from the distance with Lyneth by her side. "I wonder what kind of choice Mykel will make now that the past has been altered," she continued.

"It's either he will ignore them or send someone to kill them. I believe he will let Luciel have her revenge for what Lucifer did to her," Lyneth responded and saw the war between the demons and the angels below the kingdom. "Or he will stay out of it until Lucifer and the others die in The Lord's hands," she added.

Mykel walked up the stairs with the others, and when they reached the top, they were welcomed by the sight of Lucifer and his brethren facing Michael and the others. Their presence was enough to distract Lucifer, his brethren, and the angels because their presence gave a heavy pressure on the atmosphere.

"You're quite brave to come here," Lucifer stared coldly at Mykel.

"You're quite stupid to believe that you can defeat The Lord," Mykel responded as he walked toward the crowd. "Since you're here as well, it makes thing easier for me," he said and looked at each of them.

Lucifer looked at Jeanne and the others following Mykel from behind and none of them bothered to hold their weapons. The confidence they had, and the atmosphere they brought were telling Lucifer and the Archangels that those people were acting suspiciously.

"You guys can deal with them," Mykel said as he stopped walking and stood in front of Lucifer.

"Your arrogance is really something..." Lucifer looked down at Mykel. "I have been waiting for this moment and makes you look so pathetic with that confidence of yours!" He pulled his sword and didn't hesitate to swing his sword down with full strength at Mykel's head.

Mykel didn't move a muscle and suddenly Lucifer's sword got blocked by a sword from behind Mykel's left shoulder. Lucifer's sword wasn't blocked by a whole blade, it was blocked by the tip of the blade where it hit precisely on the edge of his sword. It shocked Lucifer not only because of that but also because he couldn't overpower it.

"Finally I have the chance to fight you," Luciel showed her face and stared at Lucifer. "I still remember what you did, and this time you will have to pay for it," she casually flicked Lucifer's blade and pushed Lucifer away from Mykel.

Lucifer who believed that he had possessed the power that should be on par with The Lord got pushed so easily. When he was stunned by that, he felt the wind hit his face and realized Mykel's team who was standing behind him had disappeared. He glanced over his shoulder and saw his brethren and the Archangels were being massacred.

"You still have time to look away? How funny," Luciel's voice was right behind Lucifer's left ear.

Lucifer didn't realize that Luciel was behind him, and when he was about to turn his body around, he couldn't move his legs. He looked down and was in disbelief that his upper half had been cut off from his bottom half. He couldn't regenerate his body, and he was floating in the air, unable to do anything.

"I thought I would enjoy this, but I realized that you're not worth my time anymore," Luciel said as she sheathed her sword. "I'm sparing your life, so be grateful," she looked at Lucifer and then walked away.

Lucifer was in a state where his body was frozen in time, unable to regenerate or move his body. That was one of the abilities that Luciel learned from the [Systematic] power. It was too powerful for someone like Lucifer or anyone from that world.

Mykel looked at Lucifer for a moment and then walked past him, ignoring his existence. He then looked at the Archangels and the demon lords were having the same fate as Lucifer. There was one that his team spared, and it was Lilith since she was one of them and she was put down to her knees, being held by Zherlthsh and Vixelleth.

"Amy, help us out on this one," Beldathiel said as she stood in front of Lilith and looked down at her.

Amaryllis landed beside Beldathiel and understood what Beldathiel wanted her to do. She then put her hand on Lilith's face and modified her existence so Lilith could become one of them again. Although it might be hard for Lilith to be on the same level as the others, Amaryllis would assist her and help her gain power just like her sisters.

Lilith was in disbelief that Lucifer and the others got defeated so easily even though they had been bestowed The Lord's power by Lucifer. She couldn't do anything to get her out of the situation, and the only one who could save her was The Lord himself, but he would rather die than be saved by him. She accepted her fate and let them do whatever they did to her and her body since it was already over for them.

Mykel looked at the situation and he never thought it would be that easy to do this. He had to trouble everyone and thought really hard for this moment, and yet it was over by simply using brute force. He then looked at the stairs that led to where The Lord was and wondered if it would be as easy as dealing with Lucifer.

"He's all yours, Mykel," Jeanne looked at Mykel and then looked at the stairs covered in holy light. "We will deal with the remaining angels and demons below, so you can have your fun with him," she continued and then looked at the others as she nodded her head.

Everyone left to deal with the army of angels and demons, except for Elena and Amaryllis who stayed behind. Mykel proceeded to climb the stairs with Elena and Amaryllis to meet the one who had been making things hard for them.

When they reached the top, The Lord in the form of light was sitting on his throne, waiting for them. His aura would have made them restless if Mykel and the others hadn't learned the truth and the new power. His aura was so underwhelming compared to theirs, and it was like a cat being cornered by lions.

The Lord knew he was no match against those three on his own because they were no longer the same being that he had observed his entire existence. He opened countless portals behind him and brought in his other selves from different universes and their armies of angels.

"As you expected, he will bring in the others," Elena said as she stretched her fingers and looked at the portals. "So it's my time to get my fill," she released her life energy, and the moment her energy made contact with the angels and The Lords, they got disintegrated and turned into her life energy.

If The Lord had a physical body at that moment, he would make a shocked expression. He couldn't believe everything he had was gone in an instant, but when he looked even further he noticed something else was happening. The portals that connected countless universes were being destroyed and turned into energy for Elena.

Everything that The Lord had prepared had gone just like that, and he didn't have anything else to help him. The moment Mykel took a step forward, The Lord felt threatened which wasn't because of fear, but the power that Mykel had was somehow familiar. The power that even The Lord failed to resist and kneel to it for an unknown reason.

The Lord didn't want to succumb to Mykel's presence and so he released his divine power, covering the whole universe with his light. But by a simple snap of Mykel's fingers the light disappeared in an instant, putting The Lord back in his place, a powerless cat in front of the lions.

"What you have is a mere copy, and you think it's going to work against me?" Mykel asked as he approached The Lord. "I'll show you, what the real one looks like," he released his power and the brightness of its aura was way brighter than what The Lord had. It was so bright that The Lord couldn't help to admire it and be hypnotized by it.

Mykel looked at the pathetic state of The Lord. He didn't pity The Lord, but the fact he achieved his power and was able to put The Lord in that state wasn't because of his own effort. He was lucky that Lyneth and the others came to give him the power he needed, but he didn't feel proud of it.

"You're just being unlucky. No hard feelings," Mykel said and then punched the light and it was enough to erase The Lord's existence.
