Destroying My Own World

Chapter 420: Connection and bond.

Lyneth watched Elena meditate and her life energy had grown almost ten times from converting Aevia's power that Amaryllis gave her. It didn't matter how much power Elena had grown because what mattered was for her to be able to handle the real Aevia's power. The one that Amaryllis gave her wasn't even ten percent of Aevia's current state.

"Is there a way for her to speed up her progress?" Mykel asked Amaryllis' clone who stayed with Lyneth.

"She's the only one who knows the answer because she's the one who can tell when she's ready or not," Amaryllis answered as she held Aevia's power in her left hand. "There's another way, but it's a bit risky and the only one who can help her is Lyneth," she pointed out and looked at Lyneth sitting in front of Elena.

"What kind of risk we are talking about here?" Mykel asked.

"Her life," Amaryllis looked at Mykel with a serious expression. "Lyneth can connect the realm where Mykel and the others are right now. She can make a bridge between that realm with Elena's subconscious which is her dream realm. But, our Elena is too powerful that her life would be sucked into the current and turned her into food for our Elena," she explained.

Mykel hummed and nodded with understanding after he realized how dangerous that was. He didn't want to put Elena in that kind of situation, and it would be better to wait. He knew it wasn't the time to take the risk anymore, and it would be better if they were overprepared.

"You don't have to worry. They will be able to hold Aevia because currently, my Elena is slowly overpowering Aevia's power. Even if Jeanne and the others are no match for Aevia, they will be able to hold her down in the long run," Lyneth said as she looked at both of them.

"But, I can help Elena's progress safely," Lyneth stood up. "It's not my decision to do it because she's not my daughter. She's her daughter," she looked at her other selves who had been watching Elena from a distance since she didn't want to bother her.

Lyneth's other selves raised her eyebrows and never thought she would be a part of it. She then approached Lyneth and wondered what Lyneth meant by asking her permission.

"What do you want me to do?" Lyneth's other selves asked.

"I want you to plant something inside her. Your genuine feelings for her because of your bond with her is the most important part of her growth. I want you to speak to her and let her feel what you feel, but it's impossible because you don't have the ability to do so," Lyneth answered. "To be honest, this power that I possess right now is going to backfire on me at some point, so I'm not going to pass it down to you or anyone," she continued.

Amaryllis who had been thinking about Lyneth's power was wondering what Lyneth meant by that. She didn't understand why Lyneth said that her power would backfire at her because Amaryllis couldn't see what would make the ability backfire at Lyneth.

"So what you're saying is that you will do it in my stead?" Lyneth's other selves asked. "But as you said earlier the bond that I have with her is the only thing that can help her. You and she don't have that bond since she's not your daughter," she pointed out and looked confused.

"No, what I'm going to do is to guide you into Elena's subconscious and help her grow. But, that's not all because I'm going to put something in her subconscious as well which is why I'm asking you if you allow me to do it," Lyneth answered.

"What kind of thing you're going to put inside her?" Lyneth's other selves asked.

"It's nothing dangerous, it's just to connect your Elena's subconscious with my Elena's subconscious. The only one who understands her is herself, it might confuse her and affect her a bit, but that's the worst-case scenario. If she could handle it, she wouldn't feel that way and nothing will change," Lyneth answered.

Lyneth explained if Elena from both worlds were connected, they both would be able to help each other and it would make them the strongest. To put it simply, they both would become like Aevia where they could exchange each other's power and help each other when one of them was in trouble.

"Do what you must, but you have to ask her permission first before you do that. It's her life we are talking about, and I don't want her to regret it," Lyneth's other selves said.

"Of course. I wouldn't do it if she didn't want to, but I want you to tell her that and explain to her that it would help not only her but all of us as well," Lyneth nodded with understanding.

Lyneth held her other selves' hand and then she held Elena's shoulder to connect them together. She teleported with her other selves and entered Elena's subconscious to help Elena grow. The others were standing there and hoped that it would go smoothly.

Elena was curling up and surrounded by her life energy, and then she felt someone enter her subconscious. She saw a figure walking toward her and realized it was her mother since she could tell immediately if it was her mother or Lyneth based on the bond she had. She wondered why her mother was there and how did her mother enter her subconscious.

"Mother?" Elena sat down and stared at her mother.

"How are you doing?" Lyneth's other selves asked as she sat in front of Elena.

"I'm doing my best and doing it as fast as I can, but it will take a while before I'm ready to face Aevia," Elena answered and she looked troubled. "Looks like everyone is waiting for me, and Mykel can't go there yet because of me," she added.

"It's okay, you have done it as fast as you can. Everyone will understand and you can take your time as long as you want. Don't forget what Mykel told us that it's better to be over-prepared than to be overwhelmed," Lyneth's other selves said. "But I know you don't want to hear something like that right now, so that's why we are here," she pointed out and looked over her shoulder.

Elena tilted her head and saw Lyneth standing in the distance as if she didn't want to bother her. Lyneth approached her and stood behind her other selves and thought about how should she explain the plan to Elena.

"What are you planning to do?" Elena looked at Lyneth.

Lyneth explained to Elena about her purpose of coming to Elena's subconscious and told her there was a way to help her. At first, Elena found the plan unnecessary, but then she realized that it would help them and there was no harm in doing so.

"I'll do it," Elena said with her eyes closed.

"Give me your hand..." Lyneth offered her right hand to Elena.

Elena touched Lyneth's hand and she immediately felt a massive headache as if her face was being sucked in. When she snapped back, there were overwhelming memories that ran through her brain. Some were synchronized with hers since it was the same as hers, but the remaining weren't hers and she felt overwhelmed by it.

Elena's subconscious wasn't the only thing that got affected, but the life energy that she had accumulated as well. Her life energy was raging like a storm, and it started to expand rapidly which was a sign that Lyneth's plan worked.

"Your bond..." Lyneth looked at her other selves. "Calm her down because currently, she's unstable and overwhelmed by the new memories that don't belong to her," she pointed out.

Lyneth's other selves held Elena's hand and activated her [Special Bond] skill toward Elena. She then felt what Elena felt, and it was indeed an overwhelming experience, but those feelings of loneliness and sadness from Elena made her feelings for Elena grow. Her loving and caring feelings toward Elena were enough to calm Elena down and give her peace of mind.

After Elena calmed down and the bond between her and her mother grew, she awakened her power because she understood how her life energy worked. She then looked at Lyneth and the way she looked at Lyneth was like how she looked at her mother.

"Thank you," Elena said.

"This is all I can do. Or to be precise, it's the only thing we can do," Lyneth looked at her other selves. "Since you have gotten what you needed, we will let you be," she added.

Lyneth looked at her other selves and nodded to tell her it was time to leave. They both teleported back to the Empyrean World so Elena could focus on herself.

At the same time, Amaryllis was protecting Elena because Aevia was still targeting her since Elena because she was the main threat. Amaryllis noticed that Elena moved her finger, and then saw Elena opening her eyes.

"Elena?" Amaryllis raised her eyebrows.

"You guys are doing something crazy back there, huh?" Elena stared Amaryllis in the eye. "To think you would go that far," she continued as she tried to sit up.

"That was Lyn's plan," Amaryllis answered.

"I know, and I know why she did it. I saw it all," Elena nodded as she looked at Aevia fighting everyone.
