Death System: I awakened SSS rank System

Chapter 10: I'm Using a what—

Zakar was up before anyone in the room. He was sitting upright on his bed. His eyes locked in a tight gaze with his system.

[ Fundamental Stats]

[Strength: 6 points ]

[Agility: 6 points ]

[Speed: 4 points ]

[IQ : 2 points]

[Endurance: 3 points ]

[Recovery: 2 points]

[Available Points: 36 points ]

Zakar rubbed him fingers against his temples, thinking deeply. If he made a careless mistake that would be his downfall.

During his observations in the past mission, he noticed that the Gorilla Babies required some amount of strength to penetrate an attack in. That meant that he needed strength and that made a lot of sense because he had noticed that his punch at first was weak. He didn't know why it had been somewhat stronger after he engaged into Death Mode.

"System I allocate 5 points to Strength."

The system chimed lightly and right immediately the maths added and subtracted. Then it chimed again.

[Fundamental Stats (Strength) Additional 5 points= 11 points]

Then Zakar felt a light energy coarse around his nerves and spine. He felt the new source strength running through his veins. A light sigh escaped his lips and a smile tugged on his lips.

'Next would be agility. I had nearly died just because I could not reflex fast enough. If I had been agile enough I would not have has this cu—' his brain paused instantly.

His hands greased over his neck, where the cut was supposed to be. It was not there. Nothing. Just a free and even smoother skin.

"You got to be kidding." Zakar muttered lightly.

He could remember vividly well that his blood had dripped. He looked at Sera who was on the other side of the room still sleeping.

He noticed that she had a hard bruise on her forehead when he saw then. It was still present as he stared at her. Fear and confusion rammed against his chest. No. It was happiness and pride. Confusion was there but it should be called anxiety rather.

'But my system says I have 2 points for recovery? Damn. I don't understand this. What the hell is the use of this points? For all I know, the system didn't state anything about it.'

[Points are systematic attributes gifted to players for their hard work. Presently you can use your points to increase your fundamental stats. Your recovery rate is low(eight hours) . Judging that you were originally an SSS rank player.]

'Damn. Ok. So from what you said, the points could be used to do other things.'

[Absolutely correct. The other players use their points to buy materials here and within their systems.]

'Got to be kidding. So we buy things with points. Fuck. Like it's a currency?'

[System shutting in the next two minutes. Cool down: 18 hours.]

'Fuck! What!'

"Zakar are you okay?" Myia asked as she stared at him from up. He jolted up and turned to see her.

The shock from his system's misbehaviour had caught him off guard. He had wanted to understand everything about the system. Understand the Death Mode and the Murderous Intent.

Besides that he wanted to change his rank. Probably to a C rank. He didn't want to die early like Lector had pointed out.

"I'm..." he paused mid between and stared at his hands.

"You have been staring at Sera for so long. About ten minutes." Myia informed. Zakar's eyes widened in shock.

"I wha...wait. No. I was just lost in thoughts. Not what you think." Zakar stated firmly but shyly as he scratched the back of his head.

"Let's believe so. Besides, why are you up so early. You were talking about points and duh. Where you just murmuring to yourself?" Myia asked and Zakar stared at her.

Was she awake the whole time? Why? How? She was eavesdropping on him?

"Myia, for how long have you been awake?"

"Not so long to notice that you now start to talk to your system strangely." Myia stated and Zakar's eyes widened in shock.

"What do you mean 'strangely'? I'm only allocating points." Zakar shifted his gaze to his hands again.

"What allocation? What do you mean?" Myia asked purely puzzled. Zakar stared at her in shock. Was she actually serious? She didn't know what allocation was? Was she dumb or what? No. She was too smart to be dumb. There was something fishy.

She had seemed totally surprised by his statement and actions. She was genuinely concerned. He stared at her and his brain struggled to understand why.

Then it dawned on him.

'Wait. I'm I using a different system?'

It made sense. That was why his system had acted strangely from others. From the onset when he saw the stats of the player who had stood beside him to the strange absorption of the Drelitte Rocks. 3

'I got a different system.' Zakar thought lightly and he exhaled lightly.
