DC: Rise of the Kryptonian Tyrant

Chapter 447: Take Back the Gods

Perpetua.

She was a goddess. Even among the ancient gods bound to the Wall of Origin, Perpetua's power instilled fear in many.

She was the highest-tier deity imprisoned on the Wall of Origin.

Bardi reached into the void. The goddess 'Perpetua', whose divine power had long been drained, her skeletal body ferocious and her eyes like black holes, appeared before him, caught by the neck.

"Take her."

Bardi had no intention of asking what the Monitor wanted with Perpetua, and simply tossed the stunned goddess into the Monitor's hands.

The Primal Monitor was visibly startled. He quickly pulled out his eleven-dimensional universe. Perpetua was furious and shouted, "You dare..." But before she could say more, the Monitor sealed her into the deepest part of his eleven-dimensional universe.

"You don't know who she is?"

The Primal Monitor exhaled in relief once Perpetua was fully contained.

"Do I need to?"

Bardi wasn't curious. However, the Monitor's strange behavior and expression did catch his attention.

To him, losing a top-tier combatant was unfortunate, but acceptable in repayment of the Monitor's earlier assistance.

"She is my mother, and also the vanguard of the God Realm within the Omniverse."

The Monitor gave a bitter smile, his mechanical face unusually expressive as he spoke of a heavy past.

Bardi immediately understood why the gods on the Wall of Origin had shown such disdain for the Monitor.

Clearly, he was not aligned with the Omniverse.

At the same time, it was likely he wasn't recognized by the God Realm either.

This was a truly complicated deity.

The Monitor then spoke with Bardi about certain secrets regarding the Omniverse and the God Realm, including the location of Heaven within the realm. He attempted once more to dissuade Bardi from launching an assault, but Bardi declined.

Eventually, the Monitor took Perpetua and departed from the Wall of Origin.

After the Monitor left, Bardi dissolved the universe and instantly reappeared on the Wall of Origin.

The gods bound to the Wall stirred with excitement once more.

"My lord, release me! I will fight for you across all realms!"

"Let us down, hehe."

"Come on! Let's conquer Heaven together!"

"I can't wait!"

Their eyes sparkled with fervent enthusiasm.

But...

The gods could not be trusted.

The Wall of Origin bound them. That binding was unique, which was exactly what allowed the Wall to resist the constant threat posed by the Omniverse.

Even if a god self-destructed while attached to the Wall, they would immediately regenerate in place. They could not resurrect elsewhere.

If Bardi released them, none of the gods would feel gratitude or assist him in the battle for Heaven.

They would simply self-destruct, regenerate somewhere hidden in the God Realm, lie low, wait for a chance, and reemerge to cause trouble.

So...

"Swear it."

Bardi's voice was cold as he looked down on them. His divine tone seemed to cut through their very essence.

The gods on the Wall of Origin fell silent again.

No god willingly swore loyalty to another.

Though they shamelessly shouted words like "Father" or "Master," they merely hoped to be released, then self-destruct immediately.

No one was foolish here.

"There's no need for that."

One of the gods chuckled dryly. "I already recognize you as Father, can't you give a little trust?"

"Yeah."

"No need for all that."

"Origin, you could kill a god with a wave of your hand. Why would we dare betray you?"

"Trust us."

"We'll definitely keep our word."

Their laughter was dry, but everyone knew they couldn't deceive the Origin.

Bardi remained unmoved, his face expressionless as he stared down at the gods who had spoken. His cold gaze made them feel a chill down their spines. They quickly fell silent.

"Origin, do you just need to attack Heaven?"

After a moment's thought, the Creator God spoke up.

If the Origin wanted to dominate the future of all gods, then with their pride, most gods would rather die than submit.

Don't be fooled by the gods on the Wall of Origin, who spoke so flatteringly. That was superficial.

If their future was to be controlled by Bardi, if their freedom was handed over, they would never yield, not even in death.

"As long as you each capture a god of equal rank during the assault on Heaven, you will earn your freedom."

Bardi replied flatly.

He had no intention of controlling the future of the gods. He only needed their power to deal with the immense angelic army.

The gods' hearts stirred.

That wasn't a bad deal.

To become an Only God meant having absolute mastery over one domain. None of them were weak in combat.

Even an Only God whose divinity was based on artistic perception had terrifying power when facing a peer.

They watched and waited.

Everyone bound to the Wall of Origin was once a powerhouse—some of the strongest to ever exist.

If capturing one peer-level god granted them freedom, then it was practically a gift.

The gods were instantly fired up, but being shrewd, they immediately spotted a flaw in the plan.

"What if we fail to capture a god of equal rank?"

One of them asked.

"Then why should you be freed?" Bardi answered.

That answer was understood by all.

As long as a god captured a peer-level god during the assault on Heaven, they would be granted freedom.

Those who failed would most likely become subordinates of Origin.

Of course, there was another interpretation. Perhaps those who failed would be killed by Origin, or simply reattached to the Wall.

The gods were all clever. They immediately saw that whether they became subordinates or took a chance for freedom, it was a win-win.

Immediately, the gods began to swear their oaths with great enthusiasm.

"I am willing to fight for Origin, capture a god of equal rank, and earn my freedom."

"I obey."

Bardi nodded. Instantly, a self-binding divine chain appeared, linking both parties and embedding into their divine bodies.

With a point of his finger, Bardi released one of them. From within the Wall of Origin, a stream of eternal source energy rushed into the first god to make an oath.

The deity instantly felt himself released from the Wall. Divine energy surged into his body, his skeletal frame filled with power, and his divine system was rebuilt. In a flash, he returned to his peak state.

"I'm back! I'm free from the Wall of Origin!"

The god shouted with excitement, looking at his crystal-like, plump hands and crying out in joy.

"I will fight for Heaven in your name!!!"

He was ecstatic.

The rest of the gods were even more thrilled.

Oaths began to echo across the Wall of Origin.

"I am willing to fight for Origin, capture a god of equal rank, and earn my freedom."

"I am willing to fight for Origin, capture a god of equal rank, and earn my freedom."
