Chapter 448: Angel in Heaven
Heaven.
Here, birds sing and flowers bloom. The sun shines warmly, the temperature is pleasant, and the air is filled with light, courage, and hope. Holy goddesses, enchanting elves, and pure, lovely maidens carry flower baskets on their arms, gathering honey and spreading justice and hope.
Even with the greatest catastrophe in the God Realm looming since the dawn of this era, Heaven remains calm and peaceful.
Whether it's the arrogance of angels or the understanding of many unique gods, no calamity has ever dared reach Heaven.
Even if the angels were to fall, the gods never believed disaster could touch Heaven.
So.
This is the angels' war.
Not a war in Heaven.
That was the belief held by both angels and the gods under their command.
The angels, having nearly conquered and ruled the entire God Realm, were now at the highest level of Heaven, arguing over whether they should strike first and destroy the Origin.
"Lucifer's presence has vanished. He has returned to the embrace of the Father."
"This proves the Origin is no longer in control. We should take the initiative."
"No. Hell and Heaven are opposites. Engaging Hell in full-scale war will disrupt the filth balance in the God Realm."
"Have you all forgotten the Father's command?"
"Origin is weak now. This is the best time to act."
"Even if Origin has the support of Morpheus and the gods of the heavens, can they really resist Heaven, which now commands the entire God Realm?"
The angel's tone was steeped in arrogance, confident and dismissive.
The other angels fell silent.
This was the strongest moment in Heaven's history. The Angel Legion now included gods from all across the God Realm.
This had never happened before.
Unprecedented power gave the angels immense confidence.
Their smiles were calm and composed. No one mentioned Origin anymore. They believed he was weakened, and this was the perfect opportunity to eliminate him.
Even if Origin had the support of Hell, Morpheus the Lord of Nightmares, and the gods of the heavens, it would not be enough to stand against Heaven's legion.
Not to mention the countless cannon fodder gods absorbed from across the God Realm. These alone would be enough to crush and seal Origin.
So, there was no need to worry.
The Architect, his body glowing blue like pure energy, observed the confident smiles of the angels.
He remained silent and ruthless, waiting for Origin to come and destroy them all.
Suddenly.
At the edge of the God Realm, a powerful aura erupted, signaling the full return of a first-stage, peak-tier god, restored to their former strength.
"This is... the emergence of a new top-tier god?"
"No!"
"That's the full presence of a top-tier god! Not a newborn."
"But why?"
Why would they fully release their aura, so arrogantly and without restraint?
A mad god?
A being that defies the world?
Perhaps sealed for countless ages, finally freed, now announcing their return and presence?
How childish.
This mad god will be sealed again soon enough.
But.
Another top-tier aura surged skyward, wild and unrestrained like a whirlwind, piercing into the souls of all creatures in the God Realm.
The angels frowned.
"Another cage shattered? Was it one of the ancient gods?"
"Times have changed."
"They're announcing their return."
"Ignorant fools."
"They've been sealed so long, they've forgotten Heaven's power."
To release their divine aura so openly.
Was this a provocation?
Now that Heaven ruled the God Realm, did these ancient gods dare to defy it? One after another, top-tier gods emerging to challenge Heaven?
This was a direct challenge to Heaven's supremacy.
Still, the angels remained calm.
They believed some ancient prison had been breached, and a few old gods had escaped and were now ignorantly flaunting their power.
But they didn't know.
In the God Realm, there were no longer scattered powers. No factions could rival Heaven.
The God Realm was unified.
Heaven, supreme.
Let them come. We are ready.
The angels' calm remained unaffected. The Angel Legion was too powerful. These outdated beings could never understand.
Perhaps a graceful and merciful battle was to come.
At that moment, from another direction, another top-tier divine aura surged into the sky.
The angels frowned again.
Boom...
Boom...
Boom...
Boom...
One after another, the auras of top-tier gods erupted like bonfires across the horizon, crashing into the God Realm from every direction.
The rising divine forces surged like tides, clashing and rolling against each other, slamming into the edges of the God Realm.
Heaven and the God Realm were surrounded.
"This is...?"
The angels' calm shattered. A sense of dread rose in their hearts.
Where was the prison? All around the God Realm, in every direction?
"The Wall of Origin!!!"
An angel screamed, recalling the eternal prison.
The Wall of Origin, which encircled the God Realm, had always been a cage of despair. No god had ever escaped from it.
Yet now, these ancient beings had all returned to their peak states.
One after another, their auras exploded outward, brazenly announcing their return.
Your overlords. Your kings of gods. Your devils.
They were back. All of them.
"It's Origin!"
"Origin released them!"
Michael's face twisted with rage. His long golden hair whipped wildly, and his eyes burned with fury.
"How dare he!"
"How dare he!!"
"How dare he release the worst of the heavens!"
Michael revealed his divine form, grasping a red cross-shaped sword. Standing atop a dragon, his golden wings were bathed in roaring flames.
His entire body burned with golden fire.
The golden flame was his wrath, made manifest.
"He's unleashed every sin!"
"Every sin bound to the Wall of Origin has been released!"
"Damn him! How dare he!"
"He is more a devil than any devil!"
"Unforgivable!"
The angels roared in fury.
Gabriel spread out one hundred and forty dazzling wings, shielding the void.
Raphael's Tree of Life rose behind him, towering into the heavens.
Uriel's terrifying wrathful angelic form was even more terrifying, his overwhelming fury aimed to obliterate Origin.
The crescent moon on Sariel's back trembled violently. Countless stars revolved around him, trying to extinguish his unstoppable rage.
"God who dared release sin. God of Origin, your end has come."
"Angel Legion, move out!"
"Destroy all evil!"
(To be continued.)
