Chapter 16: The power of the green blood.
'You're are all mine now!', he shouted in his head while brandishing his weapon at it. He was no longer the prey at the moment and this moment was too precious not to be spent judiciously. A sickening smile appeared on his already messed up face with each time the thought of tearing the great cat to shreds filled up his bubbled up mind.
He made his way towards the wounded cat with his black rusty sword in his right hand. The intensity of his grip around the hilt of the sword had caused his hands to shake slightly. If not for the metal hilt being covered by a leader strap, he would have completely wounded himself at that instant. All that seemed to be filling up in his bubbled up mind was the feeling of hearing the once self proclaimed predator screaming in accordance to the kind of pain it was going to receive from his sword.
Tap!
Tap!
His footsteps drew closer as the once noisy forest had been engulfed in total silence. The cacophony of what was to come lingered around the place as a dense ambience of melancholy surrounded the fallen predator.
Its gaze was still centered on Harry as he approached it with confidence—confidence which was never going to falter again in front of this scam of a predator. An incompetent predator was like a lion without its teeth or a snake without its fangs. These two instances were scenarios which transitioned a predator from the top of the food chain to its bottom within a jiffy.
Such a disdainful sight was what Harry was witnessing at the moment and nothing in this could substitute this kind of happiness he had in his heart because it was something he had envisioned to occur between him and his ungrateful brother. Having this foretaste of the real deal had caused his heartstrings to vibrate vigorously with unquenchable pleasure.
Skreeeech!!
The great cat had opened its jaws wide and this time though something totally off had erupted from the deepest parts of its throat. This had caused Harry to shudder a little since the last time he had heard such a cry he ended up in a crater with a sword stuck in his abdomen. The kind of pain he had felt on that day was slowly coming back to him—bit by bit—he wasn't ready to pass through it again.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
"Shut the fuck!,
Up!,
Sucker!", He shouted in gasps while stomping the monster's head several times. Harry had witnessed the effects of the screech of the monster—he knew how terrifying it could be to face it head on. Therefore he wasn't ready to risk his hearing again.
The stomps continued thereby causing the green blood of the great cat to splatter around like a fountain. This horrific situation had not caused Harry to falter but rather improved his resolve as he tightened his grip around the black rusty sword.
Chuck!
Chuck!
The sound of a sharp object piercing the monster's flesh reverberated throughout the silent forest. The great cat had wanted to release its terrifying screech once again but its buccal cavity had been totally crushed by its new predator who stood with a sickening smile on his face.
The smile spread wide on his face as if it had been plastered on it. Harry's smile spread from ear to ear, creating an ominous sensation around him and the same sensation had caused the body of the cat to shudder a little in fear. Its eyes had been crushed by Harry's foot so it couldn't witness the kind of smile he was having on his face.
The sword penetrated in and out of its body severally and puncture wounds were appearing all over its body. In spite of this kind of damage dealt to the cat, Harry still felt that it wasn't enough and wanted to cause it much more pain.
He gently proceeded towards its last pair of hind limbs—seizing them up in time for a powerful assault he was planning in his dark filled mind.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Gathering all the strength he could muster, he stomped the monster's hind limbs. The sound of bones breaking apart was heard as his foot came into contact with the limbs of the fallen predator. Its shortened tail wavered vigorously in pain signaling that it was indeed feeling the kind of pain Harry wanted to inflict upon it.
Harry scoffed a little after witnessing what the the wounded tail was doing. An annoyed expression appeared on his face and within the next instant something had fallen on the ground with a thud. Unprepared for what was to come next, green blood from what was left after the wounded tail had been shortened again had soiled his clothes. Some of it had even covered his face.
Harry was now pissed off by this and was ready to end the life of the great cat which once terrorized his life. With all his might, he lifted the black sword up with both of his hands whiles having a disdainful look on his face. The look on his face spoke volumes of the kind of mental state he was in at the moment.
The sword flew up high effortlessly when Harry had placed all his strength into this finishing blow. Its blade glistened brightly when the sun's light had fallen on it causing a dazzling experience. Even though the color black was supposed to absorb any frequency of light which fell on it, the sword at the moment though was doing otherwise. This kind of experience would have caused Issac Newton to doubt his theories about electromagnetic waves if he were to be alive.
The sword though a bit heavy, it had successfully reached its highest amplitude and had already begun its journey back to the ground where it had started from.
Bang!
Its blade sliced through the tendons around the neck of the monster's flesh, causing its head to slowly move away from its point of attachment to the rest of the body. Harry had seen this but wasn't satisfied with what he had done so he lifted the sword once again and replayed his actions. He smiled gently as the sword reached its highest amplitude once again and returned to the ground.
This action of his had left the head of the monster in shambles and more green blood to soil the ground where he stood. With out having a clear intention, he had found himself tasting a bit of the green blood which had soiled his face. Immediately after tasting it though, he could feel the anxiety and fatigue he had stressing him out begin to slowly subside. This had once again allowed a smile to appear on his face as a wobbly sensation filled his stomach.
Without much consideration, he placed his sword on the ground by his side while kneeling beside the corpse of the monster and digging his hand into one of the main puncture wounds he had created on the monster. When his hand had come out though, it was filled with green blood. Harry wasted no time and poured all of the blood into his mouth.
His eyes widened with each sip he took out of the blood he had in his hands. With each sip though, his body was slowly recuperating and healing itself at an inhuman pace.
Harry countinued to gulp the green blood into his mouth and the wobbly sensation also continued to linger within his body.
He was about to finish a handful of blood when a message on a screen had popped up in front of his retina.
[Harry Crawford had successfully obtained the players' system].
