Chapter 526: The Watcher of All Pores
The millions of Elves were ashes. They became nothing. Malvador's backup army vanished.
Pablo's thousand suns did their work well and after seeing the destruction of the Elves, Pablo looked at Malvador.
The Vampire King laid beside the ashes of the Elves, naked, and Pablo squinted his eyes.
He only saw one leg of the Vampire king, his left leg and also only one hand. The left one.
Pablo clicked his tongue at the scene.
The bastard is alive. Such tenacity.
Malvador was the King of the Vampires and he was also caught in the midst of a thousand suns.
All his clothes, armor, all of that had burnt away and along with all that, his right side was missing. He had only left part of his body with him.
When he had seen the bright light for the first time, he had jerked his head at Pablo and when he saw that the man was standing at the far end of the Crucible, he believed something was about to go down.
So, he forgot about the Demon King and shoved his left side and head inside the Crucible as deep as he could with all his strength.
He focused all his being to protect his head and heart and when that abomination ended, he found his left side completely safe but his right side was no more.
He felt glad that he moved just in time otherwise he would have perished just like the Elves.
But now that everything was over, the advantage of his race would come in handy for him.
His right side began healing on its own and in no time, he would be back in his healthy self. He also hoped he would get some clothes after he was healed.
I will deal with him later.
Pablo could do nothing about Malvador being alive at the moment. He had to content himself with the death of the Elves.
Also, the thousand suns managed to remove ashes from various spots of the Crucible as after all these years, the original ground of the battlefield was finally visible.
Nevertheless, Pablo wasn't here to stare at the ground so after Malvador, he looked for someone else.
Someone who mattered the most at the moment. Someone who made him use his Special Skill as soon as possible in the first place.
The Demon King. Dravakos.
He looked around the Crucible, with his Colt ready to strike anytime. He scanned the whole sky but he saw no one, he surveyed the whole land but he saw no one.
He turned around to see his soldiers and that's when…
"Looking for me?" That murderous voice came.
Pablo had his head turned to his soldiers behind him and he heard no signs of something like this happening. He didn't see this coming at all.
Now his head was turned and in front of him stood whom Pablo was looking for.
It appeared as if he was waiting for Pablo to turn around so he could appear.
Pablo felt a hot breath on his neck and cold shrills to his spine.
He had no idea whether he should turn his back to the front or not.
And for the people whom he had turned his head around, all of them were frozen. They had lost their breaths inside some corner of their bodies as they only watched towards Pablo with horror.
Pablo gulped and with some courage, he tried his luck.
"Can I turn my head around?" He talked.
"Hmm." The crisp voice came and Pablo slowly turned around his head.
Now he was again looking ahead of himself but instead of the scenery of the Crucible, he was met with eyes and ears.
The Demon King was five times bigger than Pablo and in front of Pablo's eyes was an eyeball with a constantly moving pupil.
But after Pablo faced it, all the eyeballs pointed themselves at Pablo and the man felt he was being watched by the whole world from up close, down to the very last pore of his body.
There was only one person like that in the whole Crucible who could give such dread to Pablo.
The Demon King. Dravakos.
Pablo made sure to keep his gaze down as pride won't matter if he was dead. He shall not anger the Demon King as of now. Not when he was just in front of him at least.
Also, Pablo's expectations hadn't come to reality about the condition of the Demon King. The thousand suns were aimed at the Being as well but the creature was completely fine. Nothing happened to him. He was the same as the last time Pablo had seen him.
And now that Pablo got a closer look, he found Dravakos' body even more strange. The Being had no fingers. His full right side of the body was filled with eyes with black pupils and his full left side consisted of long, pointy black ears.
If the Demon King wanted to hold something with his right hand then he would raise his right hand filled with eyes and reach out for things to hold them with his five fingers that were also eyes.
Pablo couldn't even describe his body and he didn't have the liberty to do it as well. Because the Dravakos finally spoke:
"Was it you who did that?"
Pablo nodded. "Yes. It was me."
"You have some strange power. You made me use a little bit of power to save myself from that. You are lucky that that Vampire wasn't able to strike a deal with me, otherwise I would have saved him and his army from those suns."
Pablo nodded again. He felt grateful for Sera's luck. If Dravakos would have saved the Elves from those suns, then Pablo's Special Skill would have gone to waste and not to mention, he would have lost the war as well.
But Pablo wondered what this Demon wanted or was he just curious because of that Special Skill?
Pablo didn't had to wonder for long as the Demon King told himself:
"Why don't you make an offer to me instead of that Vampire? You, more interesting."
