Chapter 13: Stage, Gods and Magic

There was clapping, and Addak appeared.

"Congratulations, that was a pretty good show."

'I can feel his god aura,' Remo echoed in Bob's mind.

'He's a god?!' Bob spoke in surprise.

"What happened?" Addak sensed Bob's sudden reaction.

"Nothing, just caught me off guard that so many people liked it," Bob replied, trying to sound convincing.

He looked at Addak once more and then shook it off.

"Oh, that's understandable. You're pretty good for a human," Addak said with a smile.

'He's definitely not a god. If he were, his aura would've killed you by now. He's probably an adult arcesilus,' Remo replied.

'What's an arcesilus?' Bob asked, genuinely curious.

'I'll explain later. We still have plenty of time before the main script starts,' Remo replied.

Bob opened his system.

Bob noticed he only had 10 HP left, remembering the stab in his back from earlier. His wound was still fresh, but it had stopped bleeding. If he had tried to move too quickly, it could have reopened, but his body had healed the wound on its own, which was impressive.

Not wanting to waste time, Bob decided to level up.

"8,000 XP for the next level? That's insane," Bob muttered. "If I killed that many people earlier, I'd barely get one level."

He then looked at the 4 bonus points and decided to invest them into Intelligence. He had plans to explore magic, not just focus on raw power.

[Intelligence increased by 4]

Bob felt a subtle shift after adding the points to his intelligence but didn't feel anything drastic.

"Remo, how much time has passed since Addak said the main scenario would resume in two hours?" Bob asked.

"Addak? Oh, you mean that arcesilus. It's been 2 hours and 25 minutes," Remo replied, teasing.

"So we have 2 hours and 35 minutes left to explain everything, great. Let me at least tell you what I've figured out about the system and my abilities," Bob said, preparing to share what he had learned.

Bob then explained everything he knew about the system, his abilities, and the watchers.

"I think I understand," Remo said, intrigued.

"Alright, your turn," Bob said, his curiosity piqued.

"Okay, but first, I'll tell you about myself and how I got my knowledge so you won't ask unnecessary questions later," Remo began.

"I'm a ghost soul, the greatest kind of ghost. But I'm special because I'm a blood ghost soul, which happened because of the war. Back then, I unknowingly absorbed blood without realizing it. That's all I know about my origins," Remo continued.

"Every spirit or soul, the older they get, the more knowledge they passively acquire. So, I may not know much, but for someone like you, it could be incredibly useful."

"Now, I'll tell you what I think you're most interested in—gods and everything related to them. Almost anyone can become a god, even you. To become one, you have to be strong enough and meet other conditions, but I don't know exactly what those are, or how strong you need to be."

"A god can create minions. The first stage is the arcesilus, which has several stages: Revealed, Young, Adolescent, Adult, Enlightenment, Celestial, and Omnipotent. When an arcesilus reaches Omnipotent, they become an angel, who also has various stages. What happens when an angel passes through Omnipotent, I don't know."

"Next, we have entities. Entities have no fixed type, which means you can turn them into members of your family. However, for that, you need cores. Entities have their own stages: Revealed, Young, Adolescent, Adult, Old, Ancient, Arsonist, Hollow, Dreader, and Eternal."

"It seems like God's minions are above entities, but that's not true. An Omnipotent arcesilus would never defeat an Ancient. An Omnipotent angel might be able to beat a Dreader, but it's not certain."

"We then move on to regular organisms, which have the following stages: Beginner, Soldier, Veteran, General, Elite, Governor, Champion, Hero, Chosen, Undying. Beasts go through the same stages."

"Each stage also has sub-stages: Established, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Pioneer, and Peak."

"You are currently an Advanced Beginner," Remo concluded.

"Now, let's talk about magic. But to understand this, I need to explain something first. There are worlds ranked from level 0 to 9. This is a level 0 world. The higher the level of a world, the stronger its inhabitants and the more likely they are to be able to control mana. In a level 0 world, you have zero chance of controlling mana. On level 1, it's 9%, on level 2, it's 20%, and so on… Also the higher the level of the planet the stronger the creatures that are born there, it's not just about mana."

"I can feel mana from everyone around you. It's probably 99% because of this event."

"When a person is born, they may have an affinity for mana. There are many types, but I know about the normal, unusual, and rare ones. The girl next to you has a wood affinity, which is unusual. As for you, your affinity is for chaos. I didn't know such an affinity existed until now, and it was only because of my instincts that I could identify it. Yours is above rare, which is incredibly lucky. That's one of the reasons I chose you."

"That's everything I know," Remo finished.

It took Bob a moment to process all the information that had just been thrown at him.

"I understand," Bob said, lost in thought as he considered everything he'd just learned.
