CONNECT: Rise Of The Undead King

Chapter 48: Dealing With Eric

Uche had kept in mind what Mira told him about his healing capabilities, she had said to keep it from people in the vampire world, that it could bring him trouble if people saw how he heals.

But now it seemed he couldn't keep it from anybody, with all the year-one students here in the training room, all staring at him as Eric and his gang beat the hell out of him, there was no way he could keep.

"That's enough, you've had enough fun."

A voice said from the center of the training room, and when Eric and his friends turned to look at who it was, they all had some kind of frustrated look on their faces.

"Ah, this bastard."

Elion muttered under his breath, moving his leg away from Uche.

"What now, you've come to save this trash?"

Eric asked.

"I'm not here to save him, it doesn't concern me whatever you do to him."

Marcus said, standing at the center of the first ring in the training room with his hand in his pocket, a cold look plastered across his face.

"So what then?"

Eric said, still frustrated.

"You guys are disturbing the class so I request that it's enough."

Marcus said in an authoritative tone.

"Who the hell do you think you're, Marcus, telling us to stop. You think you're the king here? Just because you're the top student in martial arts you think you're almighty."

Elion said, slowly walking up to Marcus, anger boiling in him, but Eric stopped him.

"Just for a few minutes I wasn't here you guys already turned the training room into something else."

Mr. Richard said from the entrance of the room as he walked in. He stared at Uche for a couple of seconds before moving in front of him and facing the class.

'He knows, he saw me.'

Uche thought, his body was already healing when Mr. Richard walked in and he clearly saw the bloody tendrils stretching out to stitch his body together but the man didn't give any reaction.

'Does he know me before?'

Uche wondered. He was completely lost in his thoughts and was only brought back to life when he heard Mr. Richard call his name.

"Uche, this is your first time here and you've already gotten yourself into a mess. This is the martial arts class, nobody cares about what happened to you, so you have to learn to protect yourself."

Mr. Richard said staring at him intensively, then he turned back to the class and said.

"Today's class has come to an end, you all should go to the blood manipulation class."

Mr. Richard said.

As the name suggests, the blood manipulation class is where they'd be taught not only to control their blood abilities, but also their thirst for blood. They'll be taught how to control themselves in the presence of fresh blood, how not to be controlled by blood.

But the main goal of the blood manipulation class is their blood abilities, how to control blood, how to fight with blood and make elemental attacks, they'll be taught in the blood manipulation class.

Martial arts class is strictly for pure martial arts skills, no blood skills are allowed in the martial arts class, but while in the blood manipulation class, martial arts are allowed and they'll even be taught how to use blood skills with their martial arts skills.

The students did as they were told, they all moved to the blood manipulation class and spent a couple of hours there, all learning how to manage and control their blood. The school closed for the day immediately after the blood manipulation class ended, they were asked to go back to their dorm room.

"Now it's time for payback."

Uche muttered as he walked into his room and saw that Eric was not yet back. His fists clenched unconsciously, his body itching for a fight, his mind already replaying the humiliations of earlier. He could almost still hear their laughter, still feeling Elion's kick in his ribs, Eric's taunts ringing in his ears.

He sat on the bed, staring at his hands, recalling how his body had healed earlier. Mira's warning echoed in his head,

"If the world knows about your healing capabilities, it'll bring trouble."

But now… they had already seen it. At least Mr. Richard had. And Uche wasn't sure if that was better or worse. But something is certain, the man knows about him.

The door creaked open and Eric stumbled in, still chewing something in his mouth then froze and spat it out when he saw Uche sitting on his bed, quiet, calm, too calm.

"What's this? Who gave you the right to sit over there."

Eric sneered, throwing his bag on the floor.

"Looks like you didn't learn your lesson."

Uche didn't react immediately, he stood slowly, his eyes never leaving Eric's, a dark, steady fire burning in them. His voice was low but sharp enough to cut the tension in the air.

"Oh, this belongs to you, my bad."

Uche said, getting off the bed, a strange smile plastered across his face as Eric walked up to him.

"Are you really dumb or something? Can't you see my stuff next to the bed, it's clearly mine, and why are you smiling."

Eric said, rage boiling within him.

"Oh, your stuff, I saw them and I've been waiting for you to come pack them away because I'm taking that bed, in fact, I'm taking the two."

Uche said with a devilish smile and in the next moment, he was right in front of Eric, standing face to face with him.

Eric's heart raced a bit faster.

'How the hell did he move so fast? And his voice...'

"Trying to intimidate me? It seems you haven't learned your lesson."

Eric said, throwing a punch aimed straight at Uche's jaw. But Uche tilted his head just enough to let the fist brush past his cheek. In that same instant, his knee shot upward, slamming into Eric's gut.

"Urgh!"

Eric gasped, stumbling back, completely caught off guard.

"Well, I've learnt my lesson and that's why I'm going to teach you yours."

Uche followed up with a kick that sent Eric crashing into the wall, a loud *thud* echoed in the room, Eric didn't even know how he moved so fast, he was completely stunned.

'Is he always this strong, has he been pretending to be weak all along?'

Eric thought, spitting out blood then he shook his head violently.

'No, I'm just intimidated by his actions, I won't let this trash defeat me.'

He groaned, fury flashing in his eyes as he pulled himself up.

"You bastard."

He charged again, this time his punches sharper, faster. Uche blocked them one after the other, his movements precise, his body flowing with the discipline he had picked up in his relentless training with Mira. But more than that—it was instinct. Something deep inside him was awake now, guiding his body like it had been waiting for this moment.

Uche landed another strike to Eric's chest, then twisted, slamming his elbow into Eric's back as he doubled over. Eric collapsed to the ground, coughing violently, blood dribbling from his lips.

The room was enveloped with the sound of Eric's violent cough.

Uche stood over him, eyes dark, breathing steady.

"Next time you raise your hand against me, make sure you're ready to lose it."

He said coldly, his gaze fixed onto Eric's.

But then Eric raised his hand, thinking he was about to throw a desperate punch and knowing that it couldn't hit him, Uche decided not to move then, a thick bloody red small orb like that of a bullet moved out of his middle finger, going straight for Uche's head.

Quickly realizing what it was, Uche immediately blocked it with his hand, but the impact sent him flying back onto Eric's bed, breaking it in the process. A small hole could be seen in his hand where the blood bullet had penetrated.

"Argh."

Uche groaned, trying to get himself up, but Eric was already upon him, standing right above him.

"How could I be defeated by a trash like you."

Eric shouted as he threw a punch as hard as he could towards Uche's head, but he quickly pulled back when Uche raised his arm to block the punch.

"What the hell."

Eric reeled back in fear as he saw the bloody tendrils stretching out of Uche's arm to stitch up the damage dealt by his blood bullet. Uche didn't even know his arm was already healing when he raised it to block the punch.

Seeing as Eric reeled back in fear after seeing his healing, Uche rose up with confidence and walked up to him.

'Am I going to kill him now?'

Uche wondered, he couldn't let his secret out.

Eric glared up at him as he moved closer to him, but there was hesitation in his eyes now, fear he couldn't hide.

"What—what are you?"

Eric asked, his voice shaky.

Uche smiled.

"Me? I am your worst nightmare."

Uche said with a smile as he sent Eric flying back with a slam, sending him hitting the wall once again.

"Please, please don't kill me, I'll do whatever you say, just let me live."

Eric begged, his voice hinting with fear he couldn't hide.

"Oh well, how interesting this would become."

Uche muttered with a devilish smile on his face, then he bent down to Eric, stared at him for a couple of seconds before throwing a punch at his face.

"That's for making me a victim earlier and making me become the class trash. Now tell me, what can you do for me?"
