CONNECT: Rise Of The Undead King

Two weeks had passed since Uche got into the Arcane World, he had gotten himself an identity card and was registered as a legal vampire of Arcane World, but not as a complete citizen. During his registration he learned that there are two different types of identity card that a vampire in the Arcane World needs to get, first is the student's identity card which he was given. With this card, he would only be recognized as a student and only have access to student-labeled stuff, everything he can get would be within the academy. But after graduating in the academy, he would be granted a real identity card which he could use to have access to everything in the Arcane World.

After learning of those things Uche realized that he would be trapped in the academy for complete two years, but that was good, as long as he would be safe and also get stronger, everything is fine.

His last couple weeks in the academy had been spent moving in and getting everything he needed for himself, Mira had helped him in some aspects and claimed that they wouldn't be seeing each other frequently, until he graduated from the academy they would only be seeing each other once in a blue moon and that's when Uche realized he's on his own here.

He was officially introduced as a student of the academy a week later and was taken to a different class full of half-blood vampires, all learning and training to turn into a pure-blooded one.

A half-blooded vampire could become a pure-blooded one after consuming human blood and living among other vampires for some days, and after spending a week as a student in the academy, Uche had successfully evolved into a pure-blooded vampire, and now he's been taken into a different class where he would be placed among other vampires who had been here long before him.

After evolving into a pure-blooded one, he could feel the change in his body and his soul, all his senses heightened, his sense of taste, sight and hearing, it all evolved to the next level, he could see from miles, smell and hear from miles. Everything in his body evolved to a different level, and he could feel the awakening of a power that dwelled within his soul since the day he was born, he could feel every blood that flows in his vein.

He feels alive.

'Is this what being a vampire feels like?'

He muttered under his breath as he follows the teacher into his new class, Uche is a bit nervous going to his new class. Mira had told him a few things about the pure-blooded vampires in the academy, how they treat the new ones, she had told him to be careful so Uche is somehow nervous.

And upon getting into the class, all eyes were fixed on him as expected, they were all staring down at him like a group of hungry ghouls. The teacher introduced him as the newly evolved pure-blooded and asked him to sit at the back. Uche's not the only one that evolved among the rest of the half-bloods, others also evolved but he was the only one that was brought to this particular class. The teacher seemed to be the homeroom teacher of that particular class as he gave them some instructions before leaving the class.

Somehow the man's face looks familiar to him.

'Where do I know him?'

He wondered.

'Anyways he seems nice.'

Uche thought as he watched the man leave the classroom. He was the one who had showed him everything he needs to know as a pure-blooded vampire, he brought him to his hostel where he would be sharing a room with another vampire, he hadn't even known who the person will be but he knew he would know once their class ended for today.

During the last week when he hadn't evolved, he had been staying in a secluded place with the other half-blooded, they weren't given a hostel and all of them lived together but after evolving into a pure-blooded one, they would be given a room which they would share with one other person. Uche didn't know who the person might be, he hadn't been interacting with any of the other half-blooded during the last week so he couldn't guess.

"Hey newbie."

Uche heard a voice call him from the side and upon turning to look at who had called him, a large rock was sent flying at him, it hit him right on his forehead and sent him flying back.

"Argh."

Uche groaned, blood flowing out of his head.

"I really can't believe I got hurt on my first day here, these people aren't nice after all."

He muttered under his breath as he remained on the ground, trying to hide his healing from others.

"Is he even a vampire? I can't believe he didn't see that coming."

The boy who threw the rock said, prompting everyone to laugh, he then stood up and walked over to Uche who had already gotten on his feet, the boy stood in front of Uche and said.

"Pathetic, a vampire who can't even dodge that little rock? Have you really evolved into a pure-blooded one, you sure you aren't still a half-blood trash?"

The boy asked, staring at Uche up and down, but Uche didn't say anything, he just stared back at the boy with intense gaze. He didn't want to get into trouble on his first day in this class, but he didn't know how to avoid it either because he isn't sure the boy will let him be.

"Ah not only are you dumb, but it seems you're a mute too, well I must say, you've come into the wrong class so it's better for you to leave now."

"Eric what's going on there?"

A voice said from the class entrance and coming in is their class teacher who had left earlier. The boy turned around and saw him then he quickly moved back to his seat.

"Nothing Mr. Richard, we were just trying to introduce each other."

The boy replied. Mr. Richard then smiled and said.

"Well that's good because you guys are going to be roommates. I forgot to tell you earlier Uche, you're sharing your room with Eric and your luggage will be moved there before your class ended."

Mr Richard said.

"My roommate? Why? What about Theon?"

Eric asked, angry.

"Theon has been gone for a while, he's dealing with family issues and we're not expecting him anytime soon so Uche will be your new roommate, do well getting along."

The man said before walking out of the class.

"Wait wait Mr. Richard, how can this newbie trash be my roommate? You need to do something about it."

Eric shouted as he ran after Mr Richard but he was stopped by the new teacher that stepped into the class immediately Mr Richard left.

'Well it seems I won't have to wait till class ends before I know my roommate. This is bad.'

Uche thought as he moved back to his seat, watching Mr. Richard walk out of the class, he still couldn't shake off the feeling of familiarity about the man but he couldn't pinpoint exactly where he knew him.
