=============

Charles' lectures were highly advanced, but he presented them in a way that was engaging and easy to understand, ensuring almost all students could follow along.

Everyone gained a deeper understanding of their mutant abilities.

But near the end, someone raised their hand and asked, "Professor, since mutant genes are irreversible, do we have a chance to live in peace with ordinary people?"

"Of course, my child. Aren't we already on that path? As long as we unite and work together, I believe we'll succeed one day."

Charles spoke with unwavering confidence. He firmly believed that if they kept moving forward, ordinary people would see their efforts and eventually fully accept mutants.

Hearing Charles' reassurance, the other students felt inspired. They, too, wanted to work hard to ensure people no longer feared or discriminated against them because of their abilities.

However, one person in the crowd stood out, their expression almost mocking.

Norin simply tuned out Charles' words, not believing a single one of them.

The old and new timelines had proven one thing with blood and tears:

If Charles continued down this path, there would be no possibility of peace between mutants and humans!

Otherwise, he wouldn't have felt such a headache after learning he was a mutant.

A sense of urgency constantly weighed on his mind, like the sword of Damocles hanging over his head, ready to fall at any moment.

Although this world was a fusion of mutants and the MCU worldview, the presence of other forces couldn't be ruled out.

But one thing was undeniable: even with aliens, gods, and other superpowered beings, mutants were still feared—and even hated—by humans.

All of this stemmed from the emotions of intelligent life.

They feared, dreaded, and envied the mutants' abilities.

The top leaders couldn't tolerate any force outside their control. What's more, mutants weren't like Captain America or Thor, whose powers were nearly impossible to replicate.

Mutants were evolved humans, derived from humanity but suspected of reaching a higher level of evolution. They were seen as a threat, likely to replace humans and become the new rulers of Earth.

It is easy to see why they chose to stop mutants from growing stronger.

Norin wanted to change the fate of mutants.

He lacked strength, did not know the students, and had no influence. He did not act rashly.

Now, the time came.

Soon, Charles dismissed the class.

He asked Norin to stay.

Norin told Katie to eat and rest. He was not surprised.

"Professor, what do you want?"

Norin admired Charles, but thought he was too much of a saint.

"Norin, you seem to disagree with what I said. Can you share your thoughts?"

Charles asked about the relationship between mutants and humans. Norin was surprised.

Charles was worried about this. Other things did not matter.

Norin thought. Charles seemed patient.

Norin spoke.

"Professor, if I said your ideas would fail, would you believe it?"

Charles' smile faded. He was serious.

Norin continued, "Not only will it fail, I say mutants will have no place in the world."

"One day, mutants will die out."

Charles did not get angry. He changed his expression.

He worried Norin would go down a bad path.

He saw a shadow of someone else in Norin.

That person denied his ideas.

Charles wanted to correct Norin. He did not want Norin to follow that path.

He failed to help his friend.

He wanted to make up for it.

Charles wanted to explain his ideas. He thought his books would convince Norin.

But theory does not match reality.

Norin knew he could not convince Charles with words.

He saw others convince geniuses with words. He did not believe it.

He used facts.

He did it with Batman, and he would do it with Charles.

"Professor!"

"I think you know I have other abilities."

"You are right. I can travel through time and space and see the universe."

Norin revealed his ability, like he did with Bruce.

He did not reveal everything. He did not mention improving genetic abilities. That was better left unsaid.

This world had many female mutants with genetic issues and non-mutant females with powers.

If he said it, they would ask for help. He did not mind helping beautiful women.

But if it was someone ugly or a tentacle woman, he could not do it.

He had another reason.

By revealing his ability, he could gain Charles' trust and start his plan.

He wanted to lead the mutants, replace Charles and Eric, and form his own group.

Mutants had potential. They could be created.

With effort, he would have power.

He needed Charles' support. He could gather other mutants.

He knew he could not hide his ability forever.

As he traveled, someone would notice.

He would have to explain.

He chose to reveal it and gain more control in the academy.

Norin was safe, but he needed a plan.

Future enemies would be strong. As a mutant, he cared about their future.

Mutants were scattered. They could not unify by force. They needed other ways.

The faster, the better. It would give them time for future problems.

Norin had no system. He needed a strong group to help his plan.

Charles and Eric were bad partners. He could not rely on them.
