=============

As the bell rang,

Everyone began organizing their notes and preparing to head to the cafeteria.

Before Kitty could catch up to Norin, he had already stepped outside the classroom and called out to Ororo, who was about to leave.

Seeing Norin's impossibly handsome face—the kind that only existed in novels—Ororo froze for a moment.

"Teacher Ororo, can I ask you for a favor?"

Norin spoke very seriously.

Ororo snapped out of her daze, suppressing the flutter in her heart, and asked gently, "What is it?"

"It's just… for some reason, I really love sunshine. Could you use your powers to clear away the dark clouds above?"

"Huh?"

Ororo had expected a request to explain a difficult math problem from class, but this was what he wanted?

Her first instinct was to refuse, but she couldn't bring herself to say no.

Rejecting someone so handsome felt almost rude, and for her, it was such a small thing.

Looking at Norin's warm, slightly apologetic smile, she felt as if she were bathed in sunlight.

Yes, people like him were like sunshine. Wouldn't it be even more pleasing to see him under the sun?

Ororo quickly made up her mind. The dark clouds in the sky were indeed an eyesore. She remembered she had an outdoor class tomorrow and didn't want to dampen her students' enthusiasm.

With that thought, Ororo's eyes turned white—a sign of her powers activating.

Soon, a gust of wind swept through the sky, blowing away the dark clouds overhead, and sunlight poured down.

Norin's body felt alive again.

"Thank you, Teacher Ororo."

"Ah, it's nothing. Just this once, though. We can't use our abilities so casually. We have to respect the laws of nature. Alright, I have something else to do, so I'll head out now."

Ororo wanted to say more, but Charles' voice suddenly echoed in her mind. She had to bid Norin farewell and go find the professor.

"Norin! Norin! What were you talking about with Teacher Ororo just now?"

As soon as Ororo left, Kitty rushed over, hiding her inner emotions, and asked curiously.

"Nothing much. I just asked Teacher Ororo to clear the dark clouds. Don't you think the sunshine is charming?"

Norin told the truth, glancing at Kitty's lips. It seemed like molecular mimicry needed to be replicated again.

He wondered how much stronger molecular mimicry could become with further enhancements.

"Oh, I see. But is Teacher Ororo really that easy to talk to?"

Kitty also felt that Norin and the sun complemented each other perfectly. Right now, his body seemed to glow golden under the sunlight, utterly captivating.

However, Kitty couldn't shake the feeling that Ororo had ulterior motives.

Ororo wasn't the type to casually use her powers for such things.

What a shame. If only she could control the weather, she could keep it sunny for Norin every day. He'd be so happy.

When she imagined Norin saying to her in the gentlest voice in the world, "Thank you, Kitty," her heart felt like it was filled with honey.

But her fantasy shattered as reality set in. She was just a low-level mutant with molecular mimicry and almost no combat power.

Would Norin prefer strong women like Ororo?

Kitty began to feel insecure.

"Kitty, actually… I didn't get to fully enjoy it yesterday," Norin said meaningfully.

"Enjoy? Enjoy what?"

Kitty looked up, confused. Had she eaten something delicious yesterday?

Then she noticed the direction of Norin's gaze, and her face turned bright red.

Oh no, what happened yesterday... ah, so embarrassing.

That fleeting feeling had been wonderful, and if she experienced it fully, 'Oh my god!'

Kitty instinctively squeezed her legs together. She couldn't handle the thought.

If she couldn't handle it, then why hold back?

Kitty grabbed Norin's hand and pulled him aside, phasing through walls until they reached a secluded spot. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed him deeply.

'Ah~ This scent, I'm intoxicated!'

Touch, smell, sight, taste, and hearing intertwined, and Kitty was instantly overwhelmed, completely addicted.

This was a multi-sensory feast that even Kara couldn't resist. How could Kitty hold back?

Only those who'd experienced it knew how incredible it was.

It was like being in heaven.

If you can't resist, don't hold back. That was Kitty's last thought before her consciousness completely melted away.

A noon passed...

When it was time for class, Norin and Kitty walked into the classroom together.

But Kitty leaned on Norin for support as she walked, completely drained from their earlier "battle."

Though they hadn't eaten lunch, Norin didn't feel hungry, and Kitty was also well fed and satisfied.

As it happened, the next class was Charles' biology lesson.

Everyone needed to take good notes because Charles' teachings on genetics could have a positive impact on the development of their mutant abilities.

Charles was a seasoned expert in genetics and biology. He had trained outstanding mutants like Jean and Cyclops, making him an absolute authority in the field.

Every mutant eager to improve looked forward to Charles' classes.

By the time Norin and Kitty arrived, the other students were already seated and waiting for the lesson to begin.

"Sorry, Professor. Kitty twisted her ankle."

Kitty played along, lifting her foot and wincing in pretend pain.

Charles nodded but didn't say much.

With his experience, he could easily see through Kitty's act.

But Kitty and Norin were technically adults, so such things weren't surprising.

He'd been young once and knew exactly what was on their minds.

"Alright, today's lesson will focus on one question: Can mutants undergo secondary genetic mutations?"

This class was quite interesting.

It mainly covered the detailed classification of mutant abilities and the concept of secondary mutations.

Typically, mutants only had one unique ability.

Then, through exploration and development, they could unlock derivative abilities.

For example, both Jean and Charles had telepathic abilities, but as they developed them, they gained the power to read memories and control minds.

Jean's development also included telekinesis, which differed from Charles' path.

According to Charles' genetics, each mutant's abilities were unique.

The number of genetic possibilities was staggering, and different combinations produced different results.

Unless there were enough mutants, there were almost no two identical abilities—only similar ones.

Different strengths meant different developmental directions.

However, a small number of lucky individuals underwent secondary mutations.

This manifested as the acquisition of entirely new abilities unrelated to their original powers, a significant enhancement of their original abilities, or physical changes resembling atavism.

The most famous examples were the White Queen and Beast.

Charles deliberately used Beast as an example. Originally, Beast looked no different from an ordinary person, with a strong physique and sharp intellect. But after his secondary mutation, his body showed signs of atavism, and his strength increased dramatically.

Beast now served as the Director of Mutant Affairs, acting as the academy's primary liaison with the government. He was responsible for maintaining communication and peace between humans and mutants.

When discussing secondary mutations, Norin noticed Charles glancing at him more frequently.

Did this mean Charles suspected he was a secondary mutant?

Norin remained calm, secretly wondering what Charles had figured out about him.

But he wasn't worried. Given Charles' character, he wouldn't do anything extreme—otherwise, humanity would have been wiped out long ago.

And now Norin wasn't afraid of Charles anymore. His innate mental defenses could resist psychic control for a while. During that time, he could destroy the academy a hundred times over.
