CEO Daddy Begs Mommy for Remarriage

Chapter 2: Chapter 2 It's Not the First Time, Stop Pretending!

The words fell, and the dim space was as silent as death, suffocating.

Wen Zhan turned his eyes toward her, his tone even colder, "In the middle of the night, what are you going on about?"

"I am serious." Mu Wanqing replied calmly, her mind filled with images of him meeting secretly with Lu Kejun until late at night, and thinking of Lu Kejun's taunting and humiliation of her.

What was the point in maintaining such a marriage?

"Don't worry, I'll talk to Grandpa and tell him I want the divorce, it's not your fault." She continued unhurriedly, and after saying that, she lifted the thin blanket, "I'll sleep elsewhere tonight, I won't disturb you."

Before her last word fell, she got up to leave. Just as she was getting up, a force in the dark rudely pulled her back and fiercely pressed her down onto the bed.

"Ah—"

Mu Wanqing was stunned by the fall, and upon focusing her eyes, she saw a dark figure looming angrily above her.

Her heart immediately became chaotic, her heartbeat erratic to the extreme, "Wen Zhan, what are you doing! The child is right here!"

She feared this man, fueled by alcohol, might harm the child.

The man said coldly, "Divorce? After having a child, aren't you just thinking about elevating your status through him? It's such a pity to divorce now."

"I didn't! The pregnancy was an accident! You're the main culprit, how dare you blame me?" She angrily suppressed her voice to question him.

"Accident? If you didn't want it, there are ways."

"I told you, I took the pills!"

"Huh!" Wen Zhan scoffed lightly, clearly still unconvinced.

He had underestimated this woman at first, only to carelessly let her tie him down with a child.

Mu Wanqing knew he still didn't believe her and was convinced she had schemed by not taking the medicine deliberately so that she could secure her position as the wealthy young matron.

She was tired of defending herself.

In silence, Wen Zhan pressed down on her, his eyes adjusting to the surrounding dimness, just faintly making out some features.

The woman pinned under him had her eyes fiercely sparkling with anger, her chest clearly heaving.

With them being so close, he could smell a rich and fragrant scent from her body, and once again, the image of her nursing the child resurfaced in his mind...

A subtly awkward and ambiguous atmosphere quietly enveloped them.

If he hadn't remembered wrong, today was their second wedding anniversary. As a husband, he ought also to exercise his legal rights and duties.

Mu Wanqing sensed something was off with the man, turned her head to speak, but unexpectedly, he suddenly leaned down, and his intense masculine scent instantly enveloped her.

She stared wide-eyed in horror, unable to believe this man, burning with rage just a second ago, would suddenly demand a kiss!

Wen Zhan had intended to kiss her, but she lay there like a piece of wood, completely unresponsive.

Her mouth, so articulate a moment ago, now seemed as though it was frozen, motionless.

Impatient, the man ground against her for a second or two. Seeing no response, he moved on his own, his lips landing on her neck, collarbone.

The closer he got to her chest, the more intoxicatingly sweet her scent became, sobering him from the cold shower he'd taken—Wen Zhan's rationality receded at this moment, only true to his body's cries and desires.

Mu Wanqing snapped back to reality, her skin touching the air, making her entire heart tremble, and she spoke intermittently, "Wen… Wen Zhan, look carefully, I am Mu Wanqing… not, not Lu Kejun…"

Before she could finish speaking, intense pain struck her.

She cried out in pain, instinctively resisting, but the man pressed down on her hands heavily and kissed her again, "It's not the first time, why pretend."

In the dark, tears rolled down from the corner of the woman's eyes.

It wasn't an act; it really hurt.

Indeed, it wasn't the first time, but it was the first since giving birth.

The myth of being split in half didn't seem exaggerated now.

Wen Zhan scoffed, and the next second, he kissed her tears, his brow furrowing instantly.

His Adam's apple bobbed, his body tensed, and he silently stopped and waited.

After a long while, when he moved again, his actions were noticeably gentler...

The next morning, Mu Wanqing woke up in pain due to the pressure on her chest.

Having been a new mother for over three months, she had grown accustomed to this sudden onset of pain.

So, the first thing she did upon opening her eyes was to check on the baby.

All she needed to do was to pick the baby up for breastfeeding.

But today, her gaze met empty space.

She froze for a second, then a thought struck her—Oh no!

With the baby just having learned how to roll over the other day, could he have fallen onto the floor?

She nearly leaped up and hurried to look down at the floor from the edge of the bed but thankfully... no baby on the floor!

The next second, a clear discomfort around her waist turned the panic on her face into a look of agony, as she instinctively held her waist with one hand and propped herself up with the other on the bed, the memories of the previous night flooding back.

Last night, stung by Lu Kejun, she had heartbreakingly proposed a divorce to Wen Zhan, which enraged him.

The bastard frenziedly took from her body until dawn approached.

Usually, she did not resist such intimacy.

After all, the guy was handsome, sexy-bodied, and had remarkable stamina—being intimate with such a man, she was certainly not at a loss.

However, her lack of experience coupled with it being her first postpartum encounter, plus the bastard's rough and domineering manner, completely altered what was meant to be the most romantic act.

A single love-making session had left her so exhausted and weak that she nearly passed out, unaware of Wen Zhan getting up and leaving in the morning, or the nanny coming in to carry the baby away.

Mu Wanqing sat dazed, recounting the scenes from last night.

After the anger and irritation, she couldn't help but blush and her heart raced with embarrassment.

If she recalled correctly, after she cried out in pain last night, Wen Zhan's movements visibly slowed down, as if he deliberately gave her time to adjust.

But such a cold and heartless man who had never said a kind word to her since their marriage, would he suddenly show tenderness and affection?

Impossible.

It must have been her illusion.

But she had seen his tender and passionate side, not toward her, his wife, but toward his unrequited childhood love—Lu Kejun.

Even their first time was because Lu Kejun was getting married, and he, heartbroken and drunk, had mistaken her for his beloved, leading to their confused encounter.

So, last night she kindly reminded him, but that reminder not only failed to affect him but also infuriated him even more.

It was probably... because she wasn't qualified to mention his loved one.

Mu Wanqing pondered alone; then suddenly, there was a noise at the room's door.

She jumped, instinctively flopping back down to feign sleep, unsure of how to face him after last night.

However, Aunt Zhou's voice rang out, "Madam, Madam? Are you awake?"

Mu Wanqing immediately opened her eyes, "Aunt Zhou..."

She felt a bit awkward as she sat up and asked, "Are Xiaozai and Xiaoya awake?"

"Yes, I fed them a bit after five, and now they are hungry again," Aunt Zhou replied softly.

The woman nodded, "Okay, I'll wash up."

Aunt Zhou turned to pick up the children, and Mu Wanqing hurriedly headed to the bathroom.

But as she walked, the distinct soreness made her frown again, her cheeks burning up.

Wen Zhan, though he seemed cold, was exceptionally passionate in matters of intimacy.

She covered her burning face and headed into the shower, feeling as if she herself was "dirty" and needed a good quiet moment.

After feeding the two babies, nearly half an hour later, Mu Wanqing's stomach began to rumble.

She went downstairs to find some food, but just as she stepped out of the elevator, she unexpectedly saw the man sitting in the dining room.

Her heart skipped a beat, her mind exploding.

It was already nine o'clock, why hadn't Wen Zhan gone to work yet?
